I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, professionalism, and customer service I have experienced throughout my home renovation project. This company has been working on my home for the past sixteen days, yet no meaningful work has been completed during the last seven days. Today, I contacted my salesman, Jack, who assured me that the workers would arrive after lunch around 1:30 p.m. As of this evening, no one has arrived. I called Jack twice and sent him a text message, but I have received no response. Since I could not get an answer from my salesman, I contacted your office on Florida Street in Memphis. The scheduler transferred me to the fabrication manager, and I explained everything that has occurred. I then asked to speak with the owner or a shareholder and was told they were in Italy. I asked to speak with the next person in charge and was transferred to Jayla (or Jaylen), who referred to herself as a "problem solver." Unfortunately, that description did not match my experience. She told me she would call me back within five minutes, but she never did. During our conversation, she stated that my countertops would be installed tomorrow. I questioned how that could happen when there are currently no cabinets or counters in place to support that installation. I have already paid nearly $11,000 toward this project and still have a remaining balance. Despite making a substantial payment, I have been left without progress, communication, or accountability. This situation is both unfair and highly unprofessional. What concerns me even more is that Jayla (or Jaylen) contacted Jack and apparently told him that I had implied I would not pay the remaining balance. That is completely false. At no point did I say or suggest that I would refuse to pay my balance. My only concern has been the lack of progress, poor communication, and the failure to honor the commitments that have been made to me. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. I expected honesty, professionalism, and quality customer service, but unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite. I hope someone in leadership will take responsibility for these issues and work toward resolving this matter promptly. read more

Miserable experience with this company. After contracting with them to install a new countertop, they decided to cancel the project. They determined that the countertop could not be installed without damaging my existing stone backsplash. And this was after viewing pictures of my existing situation and stone backsplash. The company sent a representative to my house to measure the project. I asked the representative if the project could be done without damaging my existing stone. He said that it would be no problem. After performing the measurement, I was informed that they would not assume the liability for the project. They also charged me $120 for the measuring fee which they refused to refund. Stay away from this company. They are very shady and unprofessional. read more

Buyer Beware!! Miserable. From design to communication to execution... just miserable. We were treated like fools to be fleeced the entire time. We went to D & H Designs to redo our entire house (five vanities, one laundry sink and our kitchen). We were told over and over that pricing was by the footage, not the slab. We picked out our pieces and the templates they sent were all the wrong granite type. We had to insist to see the actual pieces and found they had all the wrong slabs. We asked for full backsplashes and the designers insisted on having everything line up. But only in 2D. When we saw our pieces in person everything was off by 45 to 90 degrees. The installer called David (the owner) and told him it was wrong but David told him to continue. The also drilled a three inch hole in the middle of a large piece behind the stove for no apparent reason. When we called David, he said they could plug it with another random piece. Absolutely unacceptable! With our granite type, that would stick out like a sore thumb. Three weeks our kitchen was unusable. So we asked them to fix the kitchen and have the whole backsplash redone to flow horizontally as the eye would track it. They refused to return our calls for two weeks. Finally after insisting, we had a meeting with David and he wanted to charge us $10k to fix his mistake in design and execution. He wanted to charge us for TWO FULL SLABS for what was coming from 1/2 slab. I talked him down to the 1/2 slab price but only later realized I was still paying for his mistake. Stay away! read more

The Team at D&H Designs did an incredible job on a bath remodel I was involved in. Everything was done so professionally. I also had my own master bath done at my home in Memphis and at Pickwick. The staff and installers are the BEST I have ever dealt with in Memphis. I would not recommend anyone else but D&H. Thank you David for all your help! read more

These guys are terrible and if you are a contractor that has used them and not had an issue then you have dodged a bullet! STAY AWAY! We had some repairs being completed on our house and our granite countertop island had to be moved and the pieces around the sink were broken in 5 places. This required the general contractor to replace the entire kitchen granite and they chose to use D & H designs. Our original granite was top of the line and when we visited D & H's "showroom", we had major concerns but went ahead. Well, we picked out our granite and then had an individual come to take measurements in our home to make the cuts. The guy was struggling in that he was concerned about the old granite having minute overhang differences and after hearing this for over half an hour I said just make the cuts identical to the existing granite. He then asked did we want the backsplash behind the stove like the old granite had and I said "Yes, make the cuts, measurements, and pieces the same". In fact, I had to repeat it 4 TIMES. Fast forward, I am out of town on business and when I return I see there is no backsplash and the cuts for the granite are totally different. I swear they cannot even do a 45-degree mitered cut thus the piece around the sink is in 2 separate pieces. I have had granite in homes in 3 different states and never saw this type of shoddy workmanship. As if that wasn't bad enough, there is a 4-inch by 22-inch section by the sink that is a flaw in the granite and they refuse to change anything. My wife tried calling Julio, the D & H project manager, to bring up some of the issues as no one on the install team could speak English. LADIES PAY ATTENTION HERE- When my wife finally did get Julio to pick up, and she brings up the issues, he told her flat out "I DON'T WORK FOR YOU". This guy gives used car salesmen a good name. Additionally, the faucet wasn't re-installed and the day after I returned I noticed water on the floor thinking something had spilled but no, they hadn't sealed the sink and water ran down the underside of the cabinet. As of writing this review, I am reviewing options as I don't have the contracted backsplash pieces around the stove, I have an eyesore piece of granite that looks like crap, a leaking sink, and a faucet that is coming apart. They had two installers come to my home for a kitchen repair. After they left an item was found missing. The mcnairy county sheriff's department was notified along with an investigator from Memphis. This is a ongoing investigation at this time! Don't trust anyone in your home. If you have workers come in, always ask to see their ID and take a photo of it just in case this ever happens to you! This was the 3rd time at my home, I just pray the repair hold because I don't want them in my home again! read more

We have had THE WORST experience with them! They were a week behind schedule in measuring for our kitchen countertops. Then, they scheduled us and cancelled three times always with the excuse that they were in Arkansas (we are in Memphis, Tennessee). When they finally did come to measure, the woman was 2 hours behind her original appointment and they didn't get our order put in until the next day. After calling to complain, they tried to reconcile by scheduling our granite installation the following week. They gave us a 10-12 time frame and at 1:00, we called and they were still in Jonesboro, Arkansas (they did not call to say they were going to be late), and then they gave us a 3-4 time frame and then a bit before 4, they said it may be 5:00. Didn't show up which meant the plumber had to be cancelled for the next day to install sink, dishwasher, and disposal. They put us at least three weeks behind on our kitchen renovation.
