I called Alliance, Hanover because they installed the keypad about 2 years ago. I called on Monday morning and was told they would get to me sometime that week. I called Wednesday to get a more definite time - was told they would call back. In the meantime, while waiting for a callback, I called someone else. They came to the house within the hour. The keypad needed to be reprogrammed. Sometimes when the battery dies, the keypad needs to be reprogrammed. Instructions are in the box the keypad came in. Well, I was not left instructions. I asked the guy at the time the keypad was installed how I change the password. He told me I couldn't, I had to call the company. No instructions were left with me. I found out that was a bold face lie. BTW - I waited all day for a callback. Alliance, Hanover is terrible. Have an honest, more reliable company do your work. I will never ever call them again.

I was told an updated estimate would be provided. Several days later I had heard nothing so I reached out again and was told it would be provided shortly. Almost a month later and still no reply so I once again emailed regarding this estimate since we had already hoped the door would have been replaced in this lengthy time span. I finally get a reply telling me they had been very busy, which means as a customer, my time was apparently not important enough for a few minutes. After all this time of waiting and having to be the one to reach out to them, I am told they cannot even do the job. The job they told me they could do. Give your customers respect, show them they matter, and if you tell them you can do the job and later decide you cannot....please have the decency to let the customer know that. I now have to start over with a better business apparently. Thanks for wasting our time.

When I didn't bite, he said "Did the office tell you about the $69 service call fee?" No they didn't, just that you would be in touch. He offered to remove the taxes if I zelled it to his personal number. I balked at all of it since it smelled fishy and I should be told about the fee ahead of time - I just asked for a quote. When I said I was going to call the office in the morning and not paying - he wished me the best and left. Based on the other reviews, I won't bother calling and complaining. I scheduled a service date with Hanover so that I would be the first job of the day. In order to accomplish this, my date was a little father out to accomodate the first call request. This was totally acceptable to me. On the date of service, the arrival time of the technician (Juan) was to be between 8:30-9am. By 9:30 the tech had still not arrived I called the company and spoke to Darlene. After explaining the situation and not liking what I had to say she hung up on me. Really? The residential garage door industry is very competitive and there are a number of high quality firms out there. Hanover Garage Doors is not one of them. They obviously have no respect for their customers. You're better off going elsewhere.

They were flexible with us as we had to reschedule due to weather, and had several complicated moves that were handled very well. As with any move, we took care ourselves to wrap things, communicate our needs and expectations, but I would do that with any mover. Ask questions, clarify and explain what you want. All furniture was wrapped carefully with moving blankets and secured and all breakables were treated with care. I've never seen a team of people work so hard!
