I have been here several times. Every time I have been disappointed with the job done. They either painted on my skin or missed chin is of my nail. This is the worst "nail salon" in this county and that speaks volumes. I spent $60 for crooked acrylics that were all shaped differently. The acrylic is way over my nail onto my skin, so less than a week and they're all lifting. I was charged for gel polish because she put it on without asking me. Zero communication. Uncomfortable environment. And the worst nails I've ever received. Thanks for giving me horrible nails shaped like peanuts when I asked for a coffin shaped AND showed a reference photo. read more

Decided last minute that I needed a Mani & Pedi. D&D nails were one of few salons open on a Sunday. I called and the girls said come right in. Three girls graciously attended to me. The only name I got was Cindy who did my nails. A beautiful sweet young girl. She listened to all my wants and did a great job. Her co worker who did my feet did great as well, took her time massaging me and prepping my feet.... which I so appreciate. The manager, Dee (her name), came and checked in and chatted many times as well, she is a lovely person. Overall I really appreciated my time and service here with them and was very happy with my mani pedi. Being new to Sonora, I wanted to find a nail salon. I tried D & D for a gel pedicure and an acrylic fill with gel. The pedicure was amazing and he took an hour on the legs and feet, I selected the level 4 pedi which was the top of the line and runs $45. When it came time for my acrylic fill with gel the outcome was horrific. She took only 20 minutes and did not file them correctly and the paint job was just as bad, that was $35. I couldn't bring myself to complain at the time as I was utterly shocked especially when they were so packed and being new to the area. Then the same guy took about an hour and a half to remove my previous set of nails, of which he massacred my poor nail beds... and then this nail job? She said it had been a long day... she said sorry she was in a rush....well I was there probably 2/3 of your shift as my appointment was at 3:30 and I didn't leave til 7... and toward finishing this Bubbly Bumpy pile of acrylic mess, she denies me of the color I wanted because she said it would take too long to dry "and they have to go home" DONT TAKE more appointments than you can handle lady! I went in for a simple gel polish removal and manicure. I came out with a hack job. The manicurist used her Dremel with the roughest bit, which basically chewed up my nail bed. Afterward, she didn't do any type of buffing or shaping of my nail, used a regular clear polish (which is what I asked for) then without asking me applied some type of additional clear coat she charged me extra for. Got gel nails mani/pedí. Mani chipped the next day: suppose to last 2 weeks. also got polish all over cuticles. The cuticles they cut look bad . It took like 3 of them to figure out what length my nails should be. All the callouses were not even touched. Dry skin all over feet. First of all, this place is not covid compliant with people walking around with masks on their chins. Second, I came in with dip powder on my nails for removal and a new set. I waited for over 20 minutes even though I had an appointment. The nail tech let my nails sit in acetone for 30 MINUTES. I thought the powder residue was just sticking to my hands, but when they were pulled out the skin was peeling off of my fingers. After seeing how she had treated my hands, I told her I didn't want a new set just to remove the dip. She seemed irritated, made me bleed, and didn't even take all the product off. My fingers were flaking for a week after and my nails look horrible till this day. read more

D & D is affordable, clean, and they always fit you in. Other salons are hard to book in town but these folks are super accommodating, I've seen them prepping for big bridal parties and even provide festive balloons and bouquets of flowers. They have nice massage chairs and provide free bottled water. It's always a relaxing experience. My friend and I popped in on a Saturday around 4pm to get a pedicure. It was quiet in there and relaxing. They were able to accommodate us immediately. They brought us out some water. The pedicures were very efficient and relaxing. From start to finish was about 30 minutes. I was very pleased with my toes and the nailart I had requested. My mother and I called for an appointment in the morning and got set for a 2pm. I got a manicure and she got a pedicure. The staff was pleasant, however my manicure was only 15 mins and my nails looked worse after she was done. The cuticles are nicely done but the nails were trimmed with the cuticle tool and ended up jagged. My mothers pedicure left her cuticles a mess and the nail polish is just horrible and she was done in about 45 mins. Her and I are not the type of people to complain... however in this case since I was waiting, I asked to have her touch them up and smooth out the nails. She filed them more and I was still u happy. What a great experience. From the moment I called I knew I was going to like this place. The receptionist, a very kind gentleman, was very accommodating. I had to call a couple times and add more people to my reservation, and each time I called back he was very nice about it, even though I felt like I was being a bit of a hassle. They have a few new workers that are very professional, friendly and know what they are doing. They are always welcoming and by far the cleanest, nicest salon in the area, they also have nice massage chairs to relax in. Driven by this salon many times, and finally i stopped. I am sooo glad i did. Usually i go to Lisa's nails but lately it's just too crowded and you end up getting ignored or rushed through. At D&D's nails all the nail techs are super nice and take there time to ensure your nails are done the way you'd like them. Take you in quickly and they listen to your every need. I want to like this place but the service was horrible. For the prices, I was expecting a lot better of service from the women. My cuticles weren't trimmed nicely but the kicker was one nail from my manicure kept bubbling up. I asked once and they tried to cover it with another layer. After that failed attempt, I asked for them to redo the nail as this was for a wedding and they just scoffed at me and gave me an attitude. They tried to repaint the nail once more (6+ layers at this point) and I asked them politely to redo the nail. Once they redid the nail, they gave me the check and tried to rush me out. Lo and behold, it still had bubbles and throughout the drying process, all the nails started to get bubbles. The finished nails were not smooth (bumpy and unevenly covered with excess cured dip powder left on my fingers). The lady who did my pedicure did an ok job up until applying polish. I usually get great pedicures here and the last pedicure I had was still wonderful. However, I got a gel manicure here for the first time and I am upset. I went two nights ago and my gel apparently didn't cure right. The color is way lighter than I thought it would be (which, I know, has nothing to do with this business). The lady asked me if I would like my nails cut. I said NO, do not cut my nails. One of my pinky nails broke a day before and was really short but the rest were long. I was getting the mani pedi at the same time and didn't realize she started cutting my nails! She had already cut three of my nails down really short. When I looked, she said "I have to cut them to match this one (pointing to my extra short pinky nail)". I told her no that nail is way too short. So I had to let her cut all of the rest of my nails since I can't have all different lengths. When she was completely done she said "look, see this one was too short and the other ones were too long". I am still piping mad. I said DO NOT cut my nails. Now they are all really short.
