The pedicure I received was well enough. The nails I saw in progress, appeared to be decent in quality and application. The does feel similar to most restaurants; get in, get your order, and get out. But like I said, it was well enough for what I needed. read more

I have been here several times. Every time I have been disappointed with the job done. They either painted on my skin or missed chin is of my nail. Last time I went here for a pedicure and got a horrible infection and ended up needing antibiotics. When I informed the salon they just offered me a free pedicure. Will not be going back. read more

This is the worst "nail salon" in this county and that speaks volumes. I spent $60 for crooked acrylics that were all shaped differently. The acrylic is way over my nail onto my skin, so less than a week and they're all lifting. I was charged for gel polish because she put it on without asking me. Zero communication. Uncomfortable environment. And the worst nails I've ever received. Thanks for giving me horrible nails shaped like peanuts when I asked for a coffin shaped AND showed a reference photo. read more

FORGET THIS PLACE! see breanna t's review! same thing here! Is a tepid water soak a thing now? the only words spoken to me were "You want gel color?" I paid $40 for a pedicure that was supposed to include a 20 minUte foot massage. the whole thing took less than 30 minutes (including the tepid soak). Seriously, don't waste your time and money here. I'd love to give them a 0 point review but I can't get the stars to show less than 2. BTW my appointment was on Sunday at 10:00 when they open, but I still waited 30 min to be seated in a pedicure chair!? read more

Decided last minute that I needed a Mani & Pedi. D&D nails were one of few salons open on a Sunday. I called and the girls said come right in. Three girls graciously attended to me. The only name I got was Cindy who did my nails. A beautiful sweet young girl. She listened to all my wants and did a great job. Her co worker who did my feet did great as well, took her time massaging me and prepping my feet.... which I so appreciate. The manager, Dee (her name), came and checked in and chatted many times as well, she is a lovely person. Overall I really appreciated my time and service here with them and was very happy with my mani pedi. Also rest assured everyone was masked and gloves with plastic shield between us (in case this is a concern for anyone) Thank you D&D I will be back again!! read more

Being new to Sonora, I wanted to find a nail salon. I tried D & D for a gel pedicure and an acrylic fill with gel. The pedicure was amazing and he took an hour on the legs and feet, I selected the level 4 pedi which was the top of the line and runs $45. When it came time for my acrylic fill with gel the outcome was horrific. She took only 20 minutes and did not file them correctly and the paint job was just as bad, that was $35. I couldn't bring myself to complain at the time as I was utterly shocked especially when they were so packed and being new to the area. I definitely will not be back for my hands but possibly for my feet. read more

Extremely shotty job here. First I had a pedicure which was ok at best. Then the same guy took about an hour and a half to remove my previous set of nails, of which he massacred my poor nail beds... and then this nail job? She said it had been a long day... she said sorry she was in a rush....well I was there probably 2/3 of your shift as my appointment was at 3:30 and I didn't leave til 7... and toward finishing this Bubbly Bumpy pile of acrylic mess, she denies me of the color I wanted because she said it would take too long to dry "and they have to go home" DONT TAKE more appointments than you can handle lady! And her daughter even came up toward the end of my nails rushing her and being rude as heck. DO NOT COME HERE if you value your time, your hard earned money, or if you value customer service... I even saw a poor young girl In tears of disappointment due to how crappy she did her nails after getting her nails done before me. I should have taken that as a sign.... Forgot to mention in the pedicure, he cut my toe open!!!! read more

worst service I have ever received at the nail salon. They did not give me the matte finish like requested for my pedicure. Put on tips crooked, then debated with me about it. Ended up having the tips removed. And on top of it tried to pull out tools from a box marked "soiled". At the end they still charged me full price for a pedicure they messed up on. They OPEN 7 days a week now. They do not close on Monday. Not sure why Yelp don't allow to change business hour.

I went in for a simple gel polish removal and manicure. I came out with a hack job. The manicurist used her Dremel with the roughest bit, which basically chewed up my nail bed. Afterward, she didn't do any type of buffing or shaping of my nail, used a regular clear polish (which is what I asked for) then without asking me applied some type of additional clear coat she charged me extra for. Don't go here! read more

First of all, this place is not covid compliant with people walking around with masks on their chins. Second, I came in with dip powder on my nails for removal and a new set. I waited for over 20 minutes even though I had an appointment. The nail tech let my nails sit in acetone for 30 MINUTES. I thought the powder residue was just sticking to my hands, but when they were pulled out the skin was peeling off of my fingers. After seeing how she had treated my hands, I told her I didn't want a new set just to remove the dip. She seemed irritated, made me bleed, and didn't even take all the product off. My fingers were flaking for a week after and my nails look horrible till this day. read more

Your average nail place. I just get pedis no fancy gel stuff. Only complaint is that reservations are pointless. They dont even write it down. If you have an appointment at 3:30 and someone walks in at 3:29 with one chair open they will seat them in that chair and tell you to wait 30 min. read more

Got gel nails mani/pedí. Mani chipped the next day: suppose to last 2 weeks. also got polish all over cuticles. The cuticles they cut look bad . It took like 3 of them to figure out what length my nails should be. All the callouses were not even touched. Dry skin all over feet. I leaved a huge tip and was pleased up until I stepped outside. horrible I do a better job myself read more

I wanted to like this place. This is my second time here. I thought the first time was a fluke. Maybe the gentleman who did my nails was tired. He did my pedicure and gel manicure. This time around it took about 2 hours from start to finish. The cuticles were not trimmed at all. I work with my hands and I'm on my feet all day, I just wanted my nails done. I repeatedly asked if he can shape my nails and if he glue one of my nails that was broken. None of my requests were made. read more

My friend and I popped in on a Saturday around 4pm to get a pedicure. It was quiet in there and relaxing. They were able to accommodate us immediately. They brought us out some water. The pedicures were very efficient and relaxing. From start to finish was about 30 minutes. I was very pleased with my toes and the nailart I had requested. The price was good as well. $30 for the pedicure and nailart. Next time I'm in town we'll return to them. read more

D & D is affordable, clean, and they always fit you in. Other salons are hard to book in town but these folks are super accommodating, I've seen them prepping for big bridal parties and even provide festive balloons and bouquets of flowers. They have nice massage chairs and provide free bottled water. It's always a relaxing experience. Poor and rushed pedicure. Couldn't clean dirt out from under toes and painted nails on unclean toes ;(

If I could put no stars I would. I normally don't do reviews but this nail salon was disgusting. The lady blew her nose put the tissue on all the tools and then used the same drill for my nails that she just used on my friends. They were rude and did a bad paint job. read more

My mother and I called for an appointment in the morning and got set for a 2pm. I got a manicure and she got a pedicure. The staff was pleasant, however my manicure was only 15 mins and my nails looked worse after she was done. The cuticles are nicely done but the nails were trimmed with the cuticle tool and ended up jagged. My mothers pedicure left her cuticles a mess and the nail polish is just horrible and she was done in about 45 mins. Her and I are not the type of people to complain... however in this case since I was waiting, I asked to have her touch them up and smooth out the nails. She filed them more and I was still u happy. We won't be back... and just fyi my mother was a manicurist in her younger years! read more

As a first time client, I have to admit I was quite skeptical. My nails are something I'm quite picky about, and unfortunately the nail salon I had been going to for a few years now had disappointed me enough, that I was open to checking out another business. The search is over. After reading the reviews placed on a few review websites I decided to try it out. It seemed as if they were ready to close up shop as I was walking in, but they were happy to take me. Not only did they make sure to ask what I wanted exactly, they executed it to a T. These coffin nails are beautiful!! No pain, no bleeding, and not too thick! The shape is perfect, just what I wanted! D&D nails, I'll see you next time! The technicians name was Mellanie. What a great experience. From the moment I called I knew I was going to like this place. The receptionist, a very kind gentleman, was very accommodating. I had to call a couple times and add more people to my reservation, and each time I called back he was very nice about it, even though I felt like I was being a bit of a hassle. I love love love my nails. I'm so happy with the over all experience which is important. Very friendly staff, amazing prices, and they didn't try and trick me into buying anything I didn't want. First time in here and I think the owner did my powder dip. I got the impression she wasn't sure how to do it from the beginning, knew it wasnt going to be good. And they aren't. Only did 2 coats, no finish sanding, no bonding agent. Very wavy. I did give her a tip, because she was very meticulous about all the edges and put a lot of time into that. Will not be going here...still on the hunt for a decent salon in tuolumne county. read more

I've tried a lot of nail places in the area, I have been to D&D a few times now and I'm loving it more and more. They have a few new workers that are very professional, friendly and know what they are doing. They are always welcoming and by far the cleanest, nicest salon in the area, they also have nice massage chairs to relax in. Tons of high quality colors to choose from and all services are super affordable. I've been to places that charge at least double for the same quality and experience. Also only salon I know that does "dip" healthy nails instead of gels or acrylic. Included a pic. read more

I want to like this place but the service was horrible. For the prices, I was expecting a lot better of service from the women. My cuticles weren't trimmed nicely but the kicker was one nail from my manicure kept bubbling up. I asked once and they tried to cover it with another layer. After that failed attempt, I asked for them to redo the nail as this was for a wedding and they just scoffed at me and gave me an attitude. They tried to repaint the nail once more (6+ layers at this point) and I asked them politely to redo the nail. Once they redid the nail, they gave me the check and tried to rush me out. Lo and behold, it still had bubbles and throughout the drying process, all the nails started to get bubbles. I will not be going back for the price, rude service, and quality of the service. read more
