What a gem! Definitely my new favorite nail shop in town. Having only been open for three months, everything inside is sparkling and brand new. The high ceilings and color choices on the walls provide a super relaxing atmosphere and all of the massage chairs are top quality. Plus, they have the largest selection of gel colors I've ever seen. Will definitely be back -- Don gave me the best pedicure I've had in years. Price wise, it is a bit more spendy than other places in town ($35 for a deluxe pedi that included a sea salt scrub, two massages, hot paraffin wax and hot towel soak). Just moved up to Groveland and could not find a local nail place that did not give the impression that potential customers were a nuisance. I saw the D&D ad in county mag and decided to give them a try. I am very happy I did! The salon was beyond clean, had the latest equipment, friendly staff, was reasonably priced, and provided excellent service. No point in making an appointment. I love this place, but every time I come here I always make an appointment and end up waiting. Last time I waited over an hour past my appointment time before I even got to a chair for a pedicure. This time I made an appointment for 2pm it's after 2:30 and I'm debating on leaving. They let two walks in go ahead of me that just happened to walk in not even a minute before I did. Maybe they need to be more diligent about checking to see if people are making appointments or are just walking in. read more

This place schedules appointments to close together and doesn't follow correct Covid 19 standards. Only the owner speaks English and is always running around translating so she leaves her clients. 1 gel pedicure and 1 gel manicure took 3 hours and they are very over priced. Great mani pedi, wait time is reasonable, pricing is reasonable and they charge $20 for kids mani/pedi which is perfect. The only place I'm going from now on, my daughters love it too. Wonderful spot to treat yourself, or have a kids spa party. affordable and pleasant and CLEAN! which is the most important. I've only been here once so I don't want to rag on the whole establishment but I went here with a friend about a month ago to get acrylics done and they were just terrible. I wanted the almond shaped nails and showed her a picture. Not only did she take a long time which is fine but she just did a terrible job. She up charged me for everything I wanted without telling me until the end. For the shape, the gems, and the gel polish that I didn't even ask for but everything she up charged me for was fucked up. The shape was way off like every nail was different. The polish was poorly applied and so were the gems. It looked like a child did them. I'm not even a picky client and I don't like to complain so originally I just paid the $55 for my nails, which is outrageous for that kind of salon and left. As soon as I got home I called a friend and had her fixed them and called the salon the next day and asked for my money back. The lady was combative at first, tried to offer me a gift card but eventually did give me money back. I probably should have asked the lady to fix them but they were so terrible I didn't think she'd be capable of fixing them. I won't be back again. read more

I have been going to Diem for years and it is great to see her have her own beautiful salon. Everything is new and kept very clean and sanitary and they do excellent work. I do both the spa pedicure and manicure and I have never been happier. I have had a few other people besides Diem now and they have all done a very good job. The wait is not long if you try not to go on the weekend and the prices are some of the best in town. Go and pamper yourself. read more

This place is a good place, but it isn't getting a very good review because of how they do their business. They do not try their best to get people to come back when they are busy. When they do get people in the chair, they will ask what you want, and completely disregard what you say. The other day, my mother and I walked in and asked for the most basic, $25 pedicure and they ended up doing the most expensive one, almost doubling the price on which we were ready to pay. Went to D&D Nails today for the first time. Its a good idea to book an appointment as I tried to go yesterday and they were too busy. (good sign) The facility is clean and they use newly sterilized tools for each patron. They use tub liners to keep the funk out. I paid $35 for the #2 which gave me a paraffin treatment as well. I went here because some friends suggested them and I checked yelp and the reviews seemed good for a small town. don't listen to the reviews. My nails are uneven, crooked, and not blended well at all. after they finished I was told it would be 55 dollars for a very horrible job. I asked them to fix it to which she complained the entire time trying to gaslight me and saying nothing was wrong with them. Not to mention she didn't even do what I asked her to do. I asked for a full glitter coffin shape set. The pinky nails are longer and each nail is a different shape. She was very aggressive and made me bleed in 6 different areas. The acrylic was spread onto my actual finger which is extremely painful to take off. Multiple other employees stood over me the entire time to see. One male, there was burping and laughing really loud. I would expect this if I went to a cosmo school when they were still learning not worth it. Very disappointed and now I'm out 55 dollars and have to pay more to go somewhere else to get this fixed. read more

Had a bad experience at the end first visit (guy messed up my nail art by putting in top coat too soon and didn't bother to fix it) and decided to give another try due to the fact that it's closest to my house and it's the cleanest/ nicest looking salon in town. Picked out a gel color and noticed while the lady was putting it on that it was dried out and not going on smoothly so I offered to pick another color, the lady kept trying to apply the original color then brought the gel color selection back to me after realizing there wasn't enough polish for even one foot. I then proceeded to pick out color after color that they no longer had, after picking four different colors they were out of she just started bringing colors trying to pass them as the one I had picked. After about 15 minutes of her wasting time I just let her put on the color she brought back obviously unhappy. She tried to smooth it over by telling me how beautiful she thought the color was. Couldn't even shape my my toe nails the way I wanted and still had to pay full price for a terrible pedicure. Won't be giving them another try. read more
