I felt violated during and after hiring them. "Joey" the helper took expensive antiques and tried to put them in the moving truck without me seeing. He did manage to take several expensive things even though I generously gave them items that I can't use that are worth money. Like a pressure washer. I had a gift for my son taped up in a box with my son's name on it. A really nice t shirt from Sturgis Coffee. That is missing. "Joey" lunged for an antique butter churner and antique 5 gallon crock (he hauled that out to the truck). I had to get it back. They have a storage unit for things they keep and stopped at the storage unit to drip things off Entitled. Uneducated Over priced. Disorganized Not trustworthy I would not use them again. The price advertising on the Uhaul website is $120 an hour for 2 people. They will charge you $200 an hour which is ridiculous. They don't even have a moving truck. Hire Thompson and Sons instead. This company saved me with my move. The first day, I had a different company whom didn't get everything moved. However, the packing by this current co. was terrible and boxes were not labeled properly or at all. They put my clothes hangars in the tall boxed and threw my daughters breakables in the bottom without even being wrapped! I have a vase that's been in my family for years and the same thing, just thrown in the bottom of a box. I told them what exactly needed to go into storage and what goes to the new house. The boys packed things they weren't supposed to pack and I had tell them to take everything back out, this was in the garage. Then they put my daughter's brand new white/pink bags on the floor of the dirty garage. This company had no consideration for out things and did not pack properly. They also did not get everything from the house. I told them we had to go back to the house, this was at 5, and they had to finish packing. We went back and the supervisor said "tell us what you need done" I went downstairs to two rooms that they didn't get half of the stuff. I said " I told you all that ALL of this room is going into stoarge, and the laundry room items to the house. Then I said, there is still kitchen stuff to pack and he said " i thought you and a friend packed all that". I said "no, I told you she was here to help the process along". So they did pack the rest of the stuff but it was terribly unorganized and made a total mess of my storage and once again, did not know how to place items in a neat organized fashion. They supervisor himself told me it would probably be 7pm when they finished but it was only 5pm. Boxes were labeled as "house", not a clue of what was in these boxes. Some not labeled. I do have some pictures. Although this company did save me of getting out of my house on time, they did a terrible job. They do not know how to pack anything and breakables were not wrapped and cared for. I would never use this company again unless it is for larger items such as appliances or furniture. read more
