Need a quality dependable truck that makes your business look good but dont want to pay new truck…read moreprices - this is the place!
Just bought my 4th van from DCM and LOVE the place!
4 vans in 15 years - its not that Im fickle or that they didnt hold up - one was flooded, one was rolled by a jerk high on pot, the last wore out at age 14 & 200,000 miles Number 4 I just bought and its great
Dave Cory has an up to date, user friendly website that includes info on their vehicles incl. photos & prices so you can shop before you visit You can even tell the shopper Ricky what youre looking for and hell find it for you They wont sell you a lemon!
You dont dicker over price or play the "I'll ask my manager" game - the price on the website or windshield is the price you pay
These people are a delight to work with Everyone in the place - and I'm talking sales to maintenance people - is clean, honest, knowledgeable, upbeat, helpful, sincere, down to earth, positive attitude - you feel like youre dealing with your own family And it IS a family business - but its not small; they have a prime location on I-45 and sell every sort of work vehicle from pickups to vans to box trucks to flat beds to lift trucks & more
I really wanted another Astro van, which Chevy discontinued in 2005, but the salesman flat out told me he would not sell me one in 2015 because he could not assure that it would be in good shape Now THATs looking out for the customer!
Like any used vehicle, their trucks come with no warrantee but all are clean and in good condition and they even throw in some freebies like rubber mats on the beds of vans plus whatever the previous owner had installed
Everyone knows that new vehicles get cheaper the minute they drive off the sales room floor but there are unexpected advantages to buying used vehicles For instance my new van was only 3 years old but it was half the price of a new van. AND it came with a bulkhead (value; $1,200) plus the padded floor mat. Other DC vehicles might come with shelving or other accessories. One of my previous vans had custom-made shelves and drawers. Which Dave Cory's make ready crew removed from my wrecked van and installed into the new van I purchased from them at no additional charge.
On my latest van Dave Cory referred me to a local company that installs shelving. (Commerical Van Interiors, another fabulous small local business) I bought some custom made units plus window grills at a good price - and was overwhelmed with personal service. Then they also took some of the old components out of my traded in van and installed them into my new van - at no extra charge.
Over the last 15 years I have scouted other dealers from snazzy name brand new vehicle dealers to used dealers from Shepherd Drive to Sugarland but found people who didnt speak English, couldnt explain the features of their vehicles, dont follow up on promises, trucks that were dirty or worn, trucks that were in the repair bay on every visit over several months or other disconcerting observations. And ALL of these other places were trying to sell OLDER vehicles in LESSER condition, at a HIGHER price that at DC. I say, gimme some Dave Cory!
DC takes trade ins, and will give a fair price. On my first purchase and first trade in we agreed on a trade in price and the day before I brought it to them, unbelievably, I was hit by two cars in a fluke accident that spun off and hit my vehicle so it had damage that DC had not factored into the trade in value, plus it stalled out on the drive to their lot and they came and towed me in - and they still gave me the full agreed on trade in price. They will even take cars, which they don't sell, but will take it as a trade in. My last trade in wouldnt even pass inspection but they took it and gave me a fair price. Im not saying that they want to take poor trade-ins - I want to express that they will give you a fair deal and if they make an agreement they will stand by their word.
Lastly another service they can help with is financing On my last purchase my bank promised me a loan. But when I was sitting in the dealership waiting to sign the paperwork and drive my new van home we called my bank - and was told they "don't make loans on commercial vehicles." ??!
Not to worry Everyone at DC just kept smiling. Apparently this happens a lot, and they were prepared to step in & help Dave (yes the owner himself or son Ricky has helped me with my last 3 purchases) simply picked up the phone & called a guy at a bank they have a relationship with We made a few calls, passed a little info, I filled out one piece of paperwork and in less than 15 minutes I had a loan at a good rate with low payments which I can pay off early at no penalty This was nothing short of salvation!
To sum up - from finding a wonderful used truck at a very good price to outstanding service to a fair trade in to help securing a loan at a good rate Dave Cory can do it all !
