I needed a tree trimming tool to get my tree cutter of the tree where it got stuck. It had been hanging since two days and nothing worked to get it down. Nothing online seem to fit either as a solution or was not available for weeks. So I went to D&B on Glenwood, Boise. Gerret, a very young shop assistant saw me looking. " How can I help?" After explaining the problem he took me through the store to explore - all -possible options. He knows the products well he was showing. We checked on grip, weight, size, prize, ... everything and decided on a very good tool that will do jobs for me for a long time. And then he helped to get it loaded in the car. D&B does not allow tips I learned. So when I asked Gerret why he took this job he said " It makes me very happy to help our customers find the right solution for their needs". I shop here at the twin falls location almost every week! I buy stuff for my horse, dogs and buy my and my husband's clothes here. They have never been overly nice and helpful but it's whatever. But today I was ready to check out with $300 worth of clothes for my husband and I seen four cashiers with no customers they were all standing there talking so I just walked up to one to pay and the one I walked up to was a short younger girl and she kept side looking at me and turning back around towards the talking employees she was glaring at me she kept half turning towards me and turning back and I said are you not open? She said oh yeah I'm open. I have never been treated like I was not welcome at a store I was trying to give my money to ever in my life! I almost just left the cart and walked out! I find the employees most helpful whether it's a few items in the hardware section (the fastener section is better and more complete than a regular building supply ACE store near me) or a large purchase of power tools. Ok, so, I kinda really love this store. Growing up back east, in upstate NY, where it's all farms and scenery lol.. we had/have a lot of these types of stores. So as a kid, I remember going to these types of stores with my mom. We would go during the week, at night time. I remember all of it so vividly too. It'd be FREEZING outside and we would drive to Canandaigua to go to these stores. My mom and dad live in the middle of nowhere. Town has two streets, lol. Geneva and Canandaigua are the two closest "cities" Anyway, walking into D&B I am always, instantly reminded of those times with my mom. The smell of the store, (not a bad one lol) the items you see right away, like flannels, big Dickie jackets, etc. Clothing on one side of the store, garden, yard, farm type stuff on the other. In the back, animal supplies, bunnies for sale...I LOVE visiting those precious little creatures too. I say hi to them every time I go in. It's literally the first thing i do, haha! Even the staff remind me of the staff from the stores from when i was a kid. They are like the farmer type people, flannel wearing, all American people. I think I've ever only came across one rude ass employee there, he was a supervisor. I told the lady that he needed to treat them better. She's like..."I'll let you tell him that" hahahaha! This store means a lot to me, I guess because of the memories it brings back. Very nostalgic kind of thing, lol. I know that's weird for a review, but just being honest. Every time I go there, I leave happy. Not just because of the memories it brings back for me, but just because it's a great store. I love all the ladies who work there. Always so nice and happy, smiley It's like a small Home Depot, but it's better than Home Depot...also a little pricier lol. Their clothing section is great too. Amazing winter clothes they have right now. So warm and some, so homey. Great stuff to wear on a super cold night, while lying on the couch, watching your shows, and with the fire going, if you're lucky and have a fireplace....as IIIIIII.....do not, lol. Weird review, huh? I hope it's a good one for you. 5 stars is definitely deserved for this store. There really isn't one thing bad I can say about this place. Oh, I said it was pricey lol. It can be, but they also have great sales on clothes and home stuff. If you go there, you know what I'm tawlkin about, haha! Check it out. I hope this store is around forever. I really do love it. I buy Frankie boys treats here. They sell treats, made in ...the U.S.A.!! That's super important to me. I don't want any of my dogs treats or food being made and/or packaged in CHINA! It's rare for most American businesses to avoid Chinese crap, but ima just say that I think the majority is American made. Bought these pants a month ago. Wore them a maximum of three times. Jeans ripped in the crotch. Went to the store to see if there was anything they can do, replace them or return them. They told me that there wasn't anything they could do for me without a receipt. Couldn't look up my transactions with my card, and told me that they sell those jeans anywhere. Disappointed in the wrangler pants, and also how D&B handles their poor product. This store is horrible. They will have items price tagged but they never go by that price. And they say that they won't honor it even though that's what I'm the freaking item. I tried to Buy a hat it has a clearance tag on it and the lady told me "nope. No way. That's way to cheap for this hat." Uhhhhhh ok then why did you price tag it for that!! Don't buy Christmas gifts here. If the gift recipient wants to return it, they can't, even with the receipt. They need to have you personally come down with your card, refund it to your card, and then you'll have to take them to an ATM. It's an annoying, embarrassing process that D&B has chosen because they know 90% of people will just throw up their hands and go "never mind, I'll just keep it" when faced with the hassle. This is a great store for anything "country". Farm and Ranch supplies galore. Some of the best prices in town for gardening supplies, including potted starts. Western wear is fully stocked and the staff is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Special orders are available, but also the area I dock them in points. I have made special orders only to have them sold to someone else instead of being held for me. Record keeping could be much better. read more

We love this store! The customer service is always spot on and especially friendly and helpful. We arrived just before closing tonight, and the employees were very respectful and spend time answering questions we had about chickens we were getting... they were also very knowledgeable. The worst fucking customer service EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I have given this place our business for years and recently relocated back to the area. We went in there a couple of weeks ago and either no one was around to help us or they didn't want to help us! I approached this guy who was a complete jerk asking him where some watering cans were in the nursery section, but when I initially approached him, he looks at me and says "what's up?" What's up??? Are you kidding me? That is how you provide customer service?? The same guy comes to the cashier when we were paying for our items as my husband wanted to know if they sold protective face masks for spraying chemicals, etc. This same asshole also had treated my husband with such disrespect earlier that we told him and the cashier to forget it! I love this store. I grew up coming to D&B and I after going to multiple of the different locations I still feel like this is the store that treats me the best. The staff is always helpful and answers any of my questions about feed or my newest hobby, welding. I've had to do a couple of special orders in the clothing department and each time the staff has done everything in their power to get me what I need. Thumbs up all the way around! read more
