Kind and compassionate in every way. Friendly and knowledgeable from the front reception , to…read moretechs, to vets! This staff truly loves animals. I was also impressed that they understand the area market And we're not overpriced. Had pet emergency and when everyone else turned me away no new clients.... Westside vet hosp was kind and comforting. They will have my other 3 pets as clients And I know they be in great hands!!

I am choosing to post mostly anonymously because I do not feel like dealing with the excuses, buts,…read moreand defensiveness that comes with every 'bad review' which is actually just a pet parent expressing their concerns to help others keep their animals safe. I will not be sharing my animals names or super specific situations for this reason. I am sharing this to please please seek vet care elsewhere so you do not end up in heartbreak. First, my family dog was told she had a simple infection and that a routine cleaning would be fine. She was bleeding from the mouth and no other concerns were shown and no other tests were done. Within 2 days we took her to the emergency vet where they found she had a terminal illness and passed away that night. She was bleeding internally for who knows how long, and we came to this vet multiple times with concerns and were told she's fine after a couple minutes of looking at her even when she was actively bleeding. At the emergency vet they had to drain blood from her body from the internal bleeding. My entire family is traumatized and heart broken. The vet's office expressed their apologies - I am not saying anyone at this office is mean or rude - I am saying the actual vet care is absolutely horrendous and took a life that could have had more time if proper examination and testing had been done. We are heartbroken. We took our other dog in against our better judgement but because we thought, they seem so remorseful and they just unfortunately missed our other dogs diagnosis, and they're our family vet so really what other options do we have. We were told she was nauseous and said they understand why we would be 'paranoid' because of what just happened with our other dog. We weren't paranoid. Another misdiagnoses that could have ended horribly. That very night, we rushed her to the emergency vet where they found bladder stones that explained her symptoms. She has been put on prescription food and is doing well, thank goodness. We switched primary vets. We're so grateful she received good care and is doing well. I am glad for all those having positive vet care for their babies. I hope that continues. I hope this office does better. I hope this office stops placing blame on pet parents and instead looks at the trends of what is occurring at their office and figures out how to provide much more competent care. That being said, my biggest regret is not trusting my instinct when I knew something was wrong and they were not doing their due diligence to figure it out. Our dog's life was unfairly taken and our other dog was close to being next and I will defend this with all I have in me if it means saving someone else's pet. Seek veterinary care elsewhere. I fully expect a defensive and excuse filled response to which I will not read. I will not accept 'I'm sorry for your loss/im sorry you feel this way BUT' - 'I'm sorry for your loss and failing you and your dogs' should be the only response.

How we ever made it to the hospital in time, I still don't know. Our four-year-old French Bulldog,…read moreHank, went into heat stroke and was in critical condition when we arrived. A vet tech came running out, took Hank in her arms, and rushed him inside. When we left hours later, we truly didn't think we would be bringing him home again. It was a long, sleepless night, waiting for that dreaded phone call--one that, thankfully, never came. The next morning, a nurse told us Hank was off oxygen, and the doctor would be calling with his bloodwork--the same bloodwork that had been so abnormal it couldn't even be properly measured because he was so sick. Then the doctor called with the news we had been hoping and praying for: Hank was doing incredibly well. She wanted to keep him through the afternoon for monitoring, but he would be coming home. We cannot thank this staff enough for saving our Hank. Not only did they save his life, but they also gave our little boy so much love and care while he was their patient. We will forever be grateful and cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, The Woodruff Family

For 9 years they have taken amazing care of my pets. We have also fostered a few and they saw them…read morefor shots and routine check ups. They found a malignant on my dog and removed it And I could not be more grateful. If you are able to be taken as a patient always show up or call to cancel because sadly I re-homed our staff since he could not live in the rental I'm at and the ppl that took him promised to drop him at his neuter appt and never did. So the no call no show has me out of their office now and sadly we are losing the most affordable best vet in the area because I trusted these ppl but they had their own human emergency and sadly it's not the vet's problem. But I will say they are the best. They let me keep my last spay appt for our kitty that we had already on calendar and it's so affordable with them. I was looking at $270 for an 8 lb cat at plains but starts at $125 here and that's amazing. Even with adding stuff like fluids, blood work, a chip and nail trim- still under the 270 lol so yea they are the best and most affordable and all the staff are caring , compassionate women. We love All About Animals and maybe they will take us back in future. I'd offer to pay the neuter that we missed if anything lol that's how much they are worth to me.

We have been patients of here for decades, when Dr. Jerry McDonald was the vet, and we used to go…read moreto his home. My, how things have changed. Jerry's daughter took over the practice after her father passed. We have taken 4 dogs and nearly 10 cats over the years to her, the last two showed up at our house with terrible eye infections, and have to have the eyes removed. But, it saved them, so it needed to be done. We lost our girl, Molly a month ago. Molly had a torn ACL at an early age, and got arthritis, and started to gain weight. She then put her on a special diet, which was over $100 a bag, which was high in protein, causing more weight gain. The bottom line, she was heavy, and could not lose weight. Anyway, my wife found another dog for our lab to play with at a rescue, and we decided as a family, to go for it. We used All About Animals as our vet reference, and the next day our visit was cancelled because the rescue was told by Dr. Mcdonald that we overfeed our pets. WTF? Our kids are skinny, our 5 cats are skinny, and our remaining dog is skinny. But are one dog was heavy, and had the medical reasons to back it up. What a shitty thing to do to two little kids who took the loss of their dog very hard, but were excited to move on and give another dog a chance. Please do yourself a favor, and look elsewhere for a vet. Her father would have never done that, and I hope some day she answers for it. Stay away.
