Worst experience with office staff ever. Make sure you ask tons questions upfront; otherwise, you…read morewill be paying out of pocket for visits that should be and are normally part of the follow up package at most other dentist offices. I got excuses from the person who answered the phone from January through March that, "I'm new and I don't know how to get that information for you. Could I get a good number so that someone can call you back and answer your questions?" Don't expect to get a call back. You will need to stay on top of it. I also was on hold for over 20 minutes, got disconnected, and called back just to hold again for another 20 minutes to find out that they would not send my last visit to my dental office as there is no billing code for a re-evaluation. That's laughable because there is a billing code for everything. Took me until the end of February to get everything straightened out from my two visits with them in early December of last year. They don't worry about following up on claims because as I was told, if we don't get it from your insurance company, we'll bill you. Last but not least, make sure you get information as to what the insurance company will pay before setting up any appointments. If by chance they overcharge you at this office, you have to wait at least two weeks to get a check, will not put it back on your credit card. It's not two weeks from when they get payment from your insurance but two weeks from when they get around to account billing updating. Not the way to run an office. Beth B.

Where the hell does that come from? What did I do? They took pictures. Cleaned my teeth. And I walked out with a prescription for a dental paste steroid to apply 4-6 times a day. Holy dang-bang it! Gotta figure out how to accommodate that ridiculous regimen. I go back in two weeks.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Forest Park Dental, where I was treated by Dr…read more Eric J. Aubert. I trusted this office because it came highly recommended, and as a Black-owned dental practice, I genuinely wanted to support them. Unfortunately, I now feel that the number of patients moving through the office was prioritized over the quality of each patient's care. Dr. Aubert completed my root canal and placed a crown on tooth #19. After the crown later came off, my new dentist examined the tooth and documented a thin layer of old cement, recurrent decay and soft dentin beneath the buildup, excess gutta-percha from the root canal, remnants of temporary filling material, and a cotton pellet still inside the tooth. The affected area reportedly extended beneath the buildup and was approximately seven millimeters deep. My new dentist had to remove the old buildup and decay, rebuild the core of my tooth with fiber-reinforced material, clean the crown, and cement it back into place. The prognosis for the tooth is now described as "guarded to good." I was also uncomfortable that someone who appeared to be a trainee performed part of my molding and crown-placement process, while the dentist mainly came in to examine the work. I cannot speak to the office's internal protocols, but patients should be clearly informed about who is treating them and receive honest explanations throughout every procedure. This experience taught me how difficult it can be to advocate for yourself when you do not understand dental terminology or procedures. Patients trust medical professionals to protect them--not to take advantage of what they do not know. I am sharing my experience because the outcome could have been much worse. I hope it encourages others to ask questions, request their records, and seek a second opinion when something does not feel right. I am incredibly grateful that I found Dental Partners of Creve Coeur. For the first time, a dentist took the time to explain everything clearly, show me what was happening, and correct the problems that were found. That honesty, patience, and transparency have made a life-changing difference for me.

He was the kindest and sweetest man and took great care of me. I was not sedated the first go around as my veins are hard to find and he didn't want to keep sticking me. So he numbed me up really good and gave me some laughing gas. The process of removing my lower wisdom teeth was fairly quick. I did get dry socket and had to come back for treatment. The staff were very friendly as well. A few years later I returned and had the same experience. Pleasant as always. This time it hurt a little more as my upper wisdom teeth were removed and they were impacted. The healing process took a little longer than the first time. I got to interact with Dr.Herbosa, as I had to go back due to some pain and discomfort. He was nice and pleasant to deal with as well.

I have been going to Wolken Family Dental for at least 10 years now. Dr. Chris is my dentist and I…read morehave been extremely happy with the services he has provided. I see some negative reviews posted here so I felt compelled to give a little of my story. Unfortunately, I've had an issue with grinding my teeth for the vast majority of my life. I have more crowns than I'd like to admit and they've all been done by Dr. Chris. I also had an implant done by an oral surgeon where Dr. Chris only supplied the crown for the implant. That implant failed twice (don't worry I understand that it's extremely rare). Dr. Chris worked with me through the process and in the end he had to place a fixed bridge over the missing tooth. He then worked with on the cost of the bridge since I had already paid for a crown that was no longer valid. I'm reading these reviews that make it seem like the Wolken's do not have their patients' best interests at heart and I beg to differ. I spend more time at the dentist's office than most people and Dr. Chris has never been anything but understanding and reasonable with my care. Because I have so many issues I've had the pleasure of meeting with other dentists and oral surgeons throughout St. Louis in an attempt to address my grinding and because of insurance issues. Every last one of those dentists have praised my dental work. I have a significant amount of gold and Dr. Chris installed all of it. To hear another dentist ask, "Who placed all of this gold? They did a great job," really makes me smile. They have no reason to compliment anyone else's work. The fact they do lets me know it was done correctly and will benefit me for years to come. I believe Dr. Chris offers amazing care. I enjoy the office and the staff. The office is very modern and state of the art. I was recently notified that the office would no longer be accepting my insurance but I still come here out of network because I truly do believe Dr. Chris is great and I appreciate all he's done for me. If you think someone is out to get your money, go somewhere else. You'll see . . . . Keep up the good work, Wolken Dental. I'll be back as long as you'll have me!
