The situation: my wife's company was hosting an event for a project that has been named after Mount Everest locations and my wife decided to stick with that theme by having the company gift attendees whiskey glasses with the profile of Mount Everest on the bottom of the barware and the company logo etched upon the side.
My wife enlisted my help, and I'll readily admit I chose Cypress Engraving due to convenience of locale.
I met with the owner of Cypress Engraving, Mr. Singh, and discussed the project with him. I was very specific as to the size and location of the logo I wanted etched on the themed barware: it was to be a reversed image of my wife's company logo so that the person holding the glass can see the logo through the contents and the glass itself.
Within three days, Mr. Singh notified me that the test sample had been completed and was ready for purview/pick-up. The logo came out very good on the glassware, but I noted that the logo was slightly smaller than requested. Mr. Singh offered up an acceptable excuse, explaining that the current logo size was the largest he could accommodate without distorting the image due to the convex nature of the surface. With my wife's approval, Mr. Singh was given the go-ahead to engrave an additional 50 units!
A strict timeframe was also specified as these items were intended for an event, and Mr. Singh enthusiastically agreed to it.
Almost two weeks later, Mr. Singh notified us that the units were ready for pick-up!
Each whiskey glass was inspected and we were very pleased with the consistency of Mr. Singh's work!
Should another need arise to engrave anything, I would not hesitate to contact Cypress Engraving for their assistance!
NOTE: I will enclose photos of the final product AFTER the event. read more
