A member of my extended family moved in here recently, and so far, it's been a positive transition. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and there seems to be a lot of activities available. I've eaten at their dining hall a few times, and it's pretty good. Smaller portions. You can always order more food. Note that you (family members) get free food the first week of your relatives' stay. Then you have to buy a food ticked at the front desk. It's not located in a sketchy part of Escondido, but it's also next to a busy street. Staff members seem to know everyone's name by heart. read more

My parents moved into Cypress Court in October 2024. The move was rather quickly done due to circumstances, and I am so pleased that they are in a safe and positive environment. The staff are cordial and know the names of the residents and treat them with respect and are very friendly and attentive to guests as well. I have eaten in the dining room on many occasions, and the staff greet my parents warmly, and know their order preferences. As an example of this exemplary group of employees, my father had lost his wedding ring and they scoured the dining area with me to find it. Never complaining and never giving up, to no avail. But another wonderful staff member, their housekeeper, ended up finding it in their room. Additional staff that have been helpful would be the care team which provides support for every day living needs. What could be an uncomfortable experience, is nothing but positive for my parents. As far as administration, Dustin is whom I've dealt with and he is a pleasure to work with. He knows my parents (and their three very involved daughters) very well, and answers all my families questions about their care. My sister has had interactions with an additional administrator, and speaks very highly of her as well. I am so grateful to know my parents are safe, happy, and at home at Cypress Court and recommend this residential facility, a place my parents proudly call home, with no hesitation. read more

My handicapped sister has been living at Cypress Court for almost three years now. I could not be happier!! Every single member of the staff there is phenomenal - from the administrators, to the receptionists at the front desk, the housekeepers, the activities directors, and those who serve and prepare the meals. I am especially grateful for the medtechs and caregivers who help my sister on a regular basis. The med techs give my sister her medications several times a day - I have total peace as they are always on top of things with her and with her medications. The caregivers are always available when my sister is in need of help and support. Words are in adequate to the express the gratitude I feel for the wonderful, warm, caring environment that Cypress Court provides for my sister. Words are also adequate to express the peace of mind I have because of the excellent care she receives from both the med techs and the caregivers. I highly recommend - with absolute confidence - Cypress Court to anyone looking for an assisted living care facility that will bring happiness to their loved one and peace to their family. read more

I have had two sets of parents live here and our experience has been fantastic! I never have to worry what is going on, no longer have a honey do list and no need to worry about them being alone in the middle of the night. The food is also a five star restaurant quality. It does take several months for them to get adjusted to a new life style but I did see a great improvement in their quality of life. read more

My mother was at Cypress Court for 5 months, then I relocated her. The Care Director is useless. There is no communication between the upper management. They just smile at you and no one seems to know anything. It has great happy hours with alcohol and good food. The care is just not there. read more

Desk staff are overly sensitive and not very helpful. Building is confusing and directions non-existent with rooms with no numbers or labels. The second floor is the first floor so if you use the elevator, you better kmow where you're going as the front desk won't give you clear directions. More like a funeral home than an inviting residence. I get the impression that assisted living means to sit down and do as you're told, keep quiet and don't complain. I won't return. read more

This place is beautiful! They have a bird that greets you when you go up the stairs. Their chef Jon makes a beautiful presentation and yummilisious food. I was there for a networking event (we made sushi) and one of the residents started playing the piano. OMG he was obviously a trained concert pianist. People started dancing. This place obviously takes care of their residents- it looks like they love living here. I almost wish I was old enough to move in here. ;-) read more

A great home for mom & piece of mind for the family! mom still has her independence a full 1 bedroom apartment (with kitchen), plus 3 meals a day, cleaning lady once a week & so many new friends! This is NOT an old folks home or a place to leave our loved ones. cypress court is a place where people LIVE again & I can't thank them for helping put a smile on her face again. My mother has lived at Cypress Court for nearly one year now in an unassisted living apartment. She just turned 95 and she just loves Cypress Court. She reluctantly moved from another residential living facility because she was moving from some close friends. The other location struggled to maintain all key staff members and it was a constant complaint from all residents. Cypress Court has the most amazing staff from the part time dining hall servers to the receptionists and all upper management positions. Most employees have been at Cypress Court for many years and they ALL sincerely care about each resident. They are all so professional and they go out of their way to see that the residents are happy. My mother has visited other residential facilities and has lived in other locations. Since moving to Cypress Court she has not been happier. I am a hands on son and I am treated like a part of their family. The staff always asks if there is anything my mother needs and they take care of questions or concerns immediately. They truly make a difference in the lives of the residents. I highly recommend Cypress Court to anyone looking for the best residential living environment for their family member! read more

My mother, who is 93, is an assisted living resident at Cypress Court. Mom moved from Missouri to California, so that I could have her close to me, but it was difficult for her to leave her home of 26 years. She has been at Cypress Court since December, and loves it. She has a wonderful apartment, spacious, bright ... with all of her most important treasures. The staff is friendly, kind, competent...they go out of their way to make each resident feel special. The dining room, and special food events serve a great variety of wonderful food. There are specials every day, but fantastic "back of the menu" choices that are available all day. And the desserts...my mother loves dessert, and weighs 112 pounds, so she can enjoy them. Mom says every day..."I just don't think we could have found a better place! read more

I looked at 5 different assisted living places before selecting Cypress Court as a place for my Mom to move to after having a fall and then a stroke. I have found the staff to be helpful and friendly to the residents and residents family members. The activities are well thought out and plentiful. The food is fine with a good variety during meal time and in between. The courtyard is beautiful and the wellness center (workout room) has really nice equipment, the best of any place I visited. From the care takers to the medtech staff it feels like they really care for the residents and go out of their way to make them feel at home. The management staff (Julie, Deeanna, Pam) have all been amazing and super helpful. I also judge a place by looking at and engaging with the residents. They all appeared bright and shiny to me. Happy people who feel at home at Cypress Court. Check it out, I think you will find it to be a warm and welcoming place. read more

I started working at Cypress Court in January 1990.  We lived down the street in a condo and had 2 kids at the time.  I interviewed and got a job as a housekeeper.  A year later I was promoted to the Director of Housekeeping. I loved what I did.  When I was in housekeeping, it was always a sense of accomplishment.  It was nice to know I made someone's day, or I helped someone. Cypress Court is like a second family.  I had 2 more kids and in 2009 my husband passed away.  A lot of the residents came to the funeral.  I'll never forget one of the residents gave me the tightest hug that I can remember.  Cypress Court offered to host my family's dinner after the funeral.  All the Managers served us in the Activity Room. It was packed and you could feel all the love and support.  You go through the bumps and bruises of life, all and all, Cypress Court was some place I never hesitated to come to in the morning. I am always amazed at the nice people that come to live here. I was promoted again to Environmental Services Director.  I am so grateful to have the best staff throughout the years.  It would have never been as enjoyable if I had anyone else; always supporting me and doing their best not only for the residents but for all of us as a team.  I love them and I am going to miss them almost as much as my kids that are staying in here.  After working at Cypress Court for 32 years, I couldn't see myself doing anything else.  I am finally retiring and moving back to my hometown.  I am going to miss my Cypress Court family.  Thank you to all the residents, families and associates that have warmed my heart over the years. Cypress Court is a wonderful assisted living community. The facility itself is well cared for and has a comforting, home- like atmosphere. The care giving staff are the most kind, sincere and professional around and really do love the residents. The dining room serves delicious meals daily and has terififc buffets on holidays. There are tons of activities and outings and classes that appeal to anyone's taste. This community really feels like being home, so much so I would move my parents here to enjoy their golden years read more

I cannot say enough about this wonderful assisted living facility. My husband is living there after living in another (also wonderful) facility, but he prefers Cypress hands down. The atmosphere is positive and full of good energy, the people are friendly, the staff is helpful, warm, and respectful, the food is great, and the apartment is lovely. The surrounding area is a plus in my view - close to everything including a trendy shopping district just a few blocks away. I look forward to going there and often wish I were able to live there with my husband. read more

My mother in law loves it here. She'd do her own review, but she's not totally comfortable with technology. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the interior is so beautiful. The food is diverse and so good! We had a birthday party there last night, in fact, with extended family, and all they could do was rave about their meal. The gardens are great, and the activities are well attended and well loved by the residents. I love it; I'm hoping I end up there myself some day. read more

Cypress Court is an independent and assisted living community. The place has the most congenial staff; in fact, they seem to specialize in excellent, capable staff from the general manager to the dining room servers. These people are caring, efficient, and happy to work with their residents. I was visiting San Diego, and after reading the yelp reviews, I decided to check this place out for my mother. NO THANKS! I checked the place out in the evening to get a pamphlet or an appt. only to be completely turned off by the atmosphere of the location. The building looks nice on the outside, but the surrounding area was kind of "ghetto". Sorry if I'm not PC, but after only a few minutes of being parked at Cypress court, someone sped an SUV out in a screeching rage in what looked like a domestic dispute. A girl I presume was an employee threw a stone at the car, ran and then proceeded to enter the cypress court building. Coupled with people smoking outside next to their cars, the place seemed sketchy to say the least and I didn't like it. There were locals nearby smoking more potent things. At the very least, the company should provide a small designated area for the smokers they can control that is out of site from potential future residents. I'm taking my beloved mother in law elsewhere. I'll give this place 2 stars, since the receptionist was friendly over the phone. Beware!! read more
