I also did receive a follow up call to plan follow up testing for my kid. I think these two efforts make up a lot for the previous failed meeting. All the same, I do not feel the severity of my kid's medical condition was adequately considered and I have chosen to take my business elsewhere.

I've had joint/knee issues for a majority of my life (loose ligaments, bunions, carpel tunnel…read morehotness, every joint in my body cracking for no reason, obscure double jointedness but not in a cool kind of way, etc.) and his reccomendation wasn't unnecesary surgery, it was proper excercise. I'm a runner, I lift weights, and I love hiking - prior to Dr. Gluck general practioners said, "well, just do no impact excercises" to which i replied, "i don't understand". I was prepared with this entire explanation of how low/no impact excercise simply wasn't an option for me, and i didn't even need it. Apparently, excercise (in my case) actually HELPS with my loose ligaments, wouldn't you know, building the muscles around the areas which support those ligaments is actually better than complete neglect? I have to go back to him to get a Doctor's note to get an ergonomic keyboard and mouse for work (to match my pocket protector and horned rim glasses), and am glad to do so. Also, the location is right around many other doctors as well as the PW hospital, so depending on what you need, it's possible to knock out a few doctors appointments in one day (particularly if you don't work anywhere near manassas and driving out there to go to the doctor is a pain).

Needed a form filled out, the nurse requested information via MyChart message on a Friday. I gave…read morean immediate response. Nurse thanked me and said she would forward to the provider (Catherine Matkowski). On Monday at 8:30 am the office sets up a video call for 3pm. At 2pm, the provider sends a MyChart message that nobody has responded to the nursing staff and she doesn't have the information from me, but filled out the form to the best of her ability. Nobody shows up to the 3pm video visit. Is it possible that nobody in this office talks to each other? I called to follow up to see if the nurse gave the info to the provider. The male office staff continues to read my conversation verbatim. "Can we ask the nurse if she gave the information to the provider?" He proceeds to read my the messages from MyChart again. I thank him but let him know that I have access and ask if he can ask whether the nurse gave me the information to the provider he reads me the same message from MyChart...that he just read... which implies that the nurse did NOT give the information to the provider. He refuses to let me talk to anyone else and keeps interrupting and talking over me. While I have REALLY enjoyed Michelle Alvarado and Jacklyn Rector, I am hesitant to recommend this office as it seems nobody talks to each other and the male reception staff is argumentative, dismissive of women, and unable to answer simple questions.

Dr. Rosen ranks as my all time favorite doctor. I have a pretty bad anxiety disorder and it often…read moremakes it hard for me to get my questions out. It's not uncommon for me to leave appointments with other doctors in tears because I haven't been heard. Most don't even attempt to hide their impatience and I feel so embarrassed and discouraged. Dr. Rosen has never made me feel this way. He listens - even when it means spending a little extra time and he always explains everything thoroughly and clearly. Last fall I learned that I needed surgery. Dr. Rosen explained my options and answered my questions in detail. My husband came to the next appointment and he patiently explained it all again. When we left that day my husband said he wished Dr. Rosen could be his doctor!
