A fact I hadn't noticed until after because she had been so quick and forceful. I have never had such a painful experience getting a pap smear done.

We just moved to Portland so trying to investigate a doctor here but realized the great doctor (Dr. Glynn-Thami) that I had been seeing for five years back in Washington hasn't been reviewed on Yelp as yet. Dr. Glynn-Thami is great, easy to talk to and down to earth. She has over 20 years of practice and is a really calming influence. She refers you to specialists when it's beyond her area of expertise and doesn't unnecessarily medicate. She is my OB GYN and was my doctor all through the time I was pregnant with my now three year old. Given that she is family practice, is convenient that she also sees our toddler for her well child check-ups. If only Dr. Glynn Thami lived in Portland since we've moved here and struggling finding a doctor here... :(

I cannot say enough about how kind, compassionate and truly patient she was through the years. Though I'm in excellent health, I am not an easy patient to deal with as I prefer natural / holistic solutions to everyday health issues, shy away from most vaccinations and only take pharmaceutical drugs as a last resort. Though she's very traditional (and knowledgeable) in her approach to health care, she always listened to my concerns and never tried to force me into anything I wasn't comfortable with. Saw her on a Friday for a hand injury I acquired two weeks ago. Doctor mentioned "yes that's likely…read morebroken." However, after 3 phone calls on Monday I finally got my results back. Not broken (woo hoo)! Doctors advice was "take Aleve for anti-inflammatory for one week". Might have been good advice if it had just taken place (but clearly i'd already tried that :) I'm no medical professional, but a third week Aleve will not magically help me regain motor skills :) I think I might have been better helped by a faith healer (same results minus the copay and deductible). So sad... She was so nice in person! I guess I'll be returning to another doctor who will actually be concerned about my lack of motor skills after now almost three weeks :) One thumb down (I'd put the other thumb down but I still can't move it). She gained one star for being concerned at the time; just wish she remained concerned after I'd left the office.

I should also not need to wait two weeks to have the privilege of visiting the office for said results. Doctor also lectured me instead of asking me if I'm already aware. Also my blood pressure was taken with a residential grade blood pressure machine, it did kept pumping and we had to open the cuff to release it. All in all, in bellevue and the surrounding areas, there are tons of doctors, I recommend skipping this one.

He is labeled as specializing in internal medicine, but the website should have indicated that he focused on geriatrics. As a result, I had to change my PCP afterward. I do want to also call out to be careful about ordered labs. Did some bloodwork that was not covered and had to pay out of pocket. I would ask if it is covered first before signing off if you do not want to pay extra medical costs.
