Plus, ND offices usually have/had a more welcoming & warm atmosphere (plus took insurance, or at least used to). Never been to a City/County health center before - especially downtown - so I was going in with low expectations. Sure, random people come in here (including the random smells) but the office culture and decoration was surpisingly pleasant and neat. Check in was fairly smooth to boot. What really landed the solid 4 stars was the nurse that tended to me. If you just want to get tested for "that stuff" and want to meet/see a super cool RN while you're at it definitely ask for (or call ahead to check her schedule) Kristen; Kristen Wilson-Weiberg RN. Not only is her office right up front and really cool with the diverse (and snarky) decorations in her space but she is one awesome and delightful older lady. She exudes a very wholesome yet professional energy about her with just enough sass to click with people who strike up a little conversation. The blood draw was even one of the fastest yet smoothest I've ever had (just be prepared to hydrate right after if you came in parched; I almost fainted having forgot about this small detail). Their shady business practices do not code your visit as an urgent care visit even though they advertise their care as an urgent care. They will charge you for a full hosptal visit and insurance will likely not cover in the same capacity as a urgent care vist. I had to pay hundreds of $ vs my typical $50 copay at other urgent cares.

When arriving- I was told I would be next. Let me tell you- I am in quite a bit of pain from an injury. So the nurse practitioner (not even a doctor) seemed to be the one seeing patients. She stuck her head out and said - I am taking lunch... just tell them it will be a longer wait. - everyone needs lunch right-? I mean really- who cares about patients when there is 'anytime unscheduled time off'. Enjoy that brake at the patients expense- after your staff indicated that he could be seen quickly to mitigate any PTSD Symptoms or adverse reactions which may disturb others. After voicing some displeasure at this- I was taken into a room by an administrative female who choose to belittle me to the point of a full blown PTSD Episode. I had asked to see a doctor- not some Affluent with a superiority complex. So after being fully triggered by staff- I was treated to 'Marty'- whom one can only describe as a [Medical Nazi]. In HIS facility- ADA Laws do not apply. The 1st amendment is dismissed for sensitively. This guy just antagonized me until I left. I believe he was trying to provoke a physical confrontation for mirth. This was one of the worst experiences I have had in years. A person with disabilities shouldn't be punished for being lied to and antagonized by a medical personnel when in need of medical treatment. Telling me that my language was unacceptable after being told I have PTSD was pretty low quality of a medical personnel. Escalating the situation was probably the worst thing 'Marty' could do. Making fun of me- while causing a PTSD meltdown- really showed his professionalism.

She acted as if I was bothering her in her practice and made me feel VERY unwelcome and stupid for asking ?'s. I know a lot of Dr's have a sort of rushed sense while going about their day but I honestly felt like she could care less and I was taking up her time asking dumb ?'s. I am not a Dr- that is her job to help us regular folk get answers to our medical health questions. She was also kind of creepy in that manly Janet Reno kind-of way. Five years ago, I described the tingling in my feet to my previous doctor and I was referred for an MRI, in the event that I had MS. I was also referred for an X-Ray of my spine. The results were negative. The cost of these procedures to me, after insurance, were about $1200. Presented with the same symptoms, Dr. Kaser said: "Your symptoms can be explained by varicose veins - which you have. Try wearing support hose. Also, look into a varicose vein treatment." Turned out she was right about both things. I was a perfect candidate for varicose vein treatment and it was fully covered by my insurance. Moreover, I learned that my "deep veins" were leaking (deep veins can't be fixed): thus, I really should wear support hose going forward since you leaky veins can cause some nasty problems.

It is not one of those get on the tread mill places; not at all. Dr. Mobley is amazing; a gentle and skilled touch. I knew I was in good hands. The associates are great. They are focused and attentive to the stretches that will have the most positive impact and give you that quality of life you are looking for. I can not sasy enough good things about them.
