The music was a mix of some of my old favorites--so much so that my friend and I were occasionally too busy vibing to follow instructions. Thankfully, the staff was incredibly patient with us. I loved the thoughtful Black touches throughout the space: the toilet paper, the napkins, even the chocolate-covered strawberry we received on arrival was dipped in rich, luxurious black chocolate... and yes, it was absolutely delicious. The walls of the shop will also adorned with all sorts of nostalgic Black pop culture pieces, to help tie the whole theme together. The energy from the moment I walked in the venue was welcoming, inviting, and just chill. My friend and I were a few minutes late, but Michelle and the rest of the team were so gracious. Even though we started late, we still got the full experience. The staff guided us through the process step by step, helping us select our jars, choose our fragrances, and create our candles. While our candles were curing, we were able to select from a wide variety of fun games to play, including Black Card Revoked and Cards Against Humanity. What was meant to be just a candle-making class turned into a hilariously enjoyable experience. This is such a fun and creative way to spend an afternoon. And who doesn't love a good candle? If you're looking for something fun to do with friends--whether it's a girls' day out, a bridal shower activity, or just something fun to do on a random day--I highly recommend this spot. It's a unique art school combined with artists' workshops on three levels. They offer an array of classes for artists and for novice looking for a fun hobby. The classes posted that I saw were for drawing,painting, and live model drawing. Some studio rooms were quite small, while other room were larger for classes/workshops. I came for the grand opening celebration. The founder's young son was greeting people at the door and giving a well rehearsed explanation of all they had to offer. I was impressed. It was quite fun going in all the rooms and meeting some of the artists. I hope to visit again soon... maybe partake in a class one day.

I recently went to the Micheal's store in Waldorf for curbside pick up. The first time it went…read moresmoothly and the employee came out and gave me my items in a very quick timely fashion compared to curbside at other places. The second time one of my items wasn't in the bag and the employee told me that the app wasn't showing that I had purchased it. I showed her on my phone and wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be charged for it. She told me she didn't think that I would. I wanted to make sure . She tried to help me as best that she could but then told me that she had to go back inside because she was the cashier. She told me that she had spoken to the manager and that he was going to come out and talk to me. The manager came out as soon as she went back in. I think he may have been handling the register while she brought my items to me. He came out and reassured me that I would not be charged and showed me the receipt they gave me that only had 2 of the items on it and told me that's what I received and that's what I would be charged for. They must be understaffed but both employees were patient and tried to assist me without seeming annoyed or agitated. They were both very pleasant and gave me quick and satisfying service.
