Community Wall - New Years Resolutions!
    Bethann O.

Not sure how I would have made it the past 2 years without CycleBar. The most amazing workout but the benefits go waaaayy beyond how many calories you burn. The community and support and inclusiveness is unmatched. When I come to class I don't even think about it like "I'm going to work out" - I feel like "I'm going to do something fun for myself!" The different types of classes are great and offer variety, and all the instructors are wonderful. They each have their own unique vibe, music taste, and teaching style. From beginners to pros, everyone is welcome here and encouraged to reach their goals no matter what that may look like. I've met some great people, ridden some awesome themed rides, and walk out of class every single time feeling invigorated and uplifted. Also I'd like to say that I've been a part of other studio/workout membership places and they always made me uncomfortable with the constant up selling or guilt tripping for not going enough/not paying enough etc. Cycle bar is nothing like that and they truly want you to have the best experience for YOU. I feel that the pricing is fair and am happy with the various membership options. Also, they provide shoes and towels every time you ride! TLDR - JOIN CYCLEBAR

This studio and it's people! I have taken classes at other franchises and studios and this studio has the sweetest, kindest, and most welcoming staff. I personally workout at home, but also LOVE to come here every so often and buy class packs/take rides with my friends (who love their unlimited memberships). They do themed rides and have a great group of versatile instructors. Can't wait to hop on the bike again here soon!!

Physical Transformers in the middle (Left - Emily & Right - Lynnsay). Pushed us in so many ways! DO NOT WAIT to begin your transformation!

High Energy, made to feel welcome, easy parking, reasonably priced. Wish they would add a few more classes of the 9 AM spot.

The place itself is inside a larger building and in a nice location, close enough to the highway but off the beaten path enough to not be crazy packed with traffic. Sign up was easy and convenient online. Come prepared in tighter fitting (but comfortable!) clothing that covers your underarms and legs (to prevent burning!) and minimal or no jewelry. You definitely don't want to risk getting it hung on the silks! Oh and definitely bring some water. You're guaranteed to be a little (or a lot!) sore the next day. Jamie was our instructor and she was phenomenal! She was so fun, patient, and encouraging. As a first timer, this was very intimidating but Jamie made us feel like pros! The class starts with foundational elements: stretches, a warm up, then basics on the silks apparatus such as foot wrapping and pulling yourself up. We gradually introduced more shapes and the foot knot. The class flew by and was so much fun! It's truly an addicting workout/art form and Jamie's skills were so impressive. I can't wait to go back! Definitely check this place out and have a unique experience with friends, your partner, or fly solo!

Do wish they had a pool but the sauna is option is nice. I think they offer childcare as well. And as their membership grows, looks like they'll hosting more events which is a big draw for me. I did the 21 day free trial and was extremely close to signing up fully, but I have a gym in my complex with similar equipment. However, places like O2 (Lifetime, Equinox etc) are much more than a gym, they are an ~experience~ I don't think most people go solely to work out or train, they go for the elevated service/treatment, community, motivation from/of being around others etc. And you definitely get that here at O2. Pricewise is what you would expect from a facility of this caliber, but their prepaid packages do get you some decent savings. The operations staff is nice and friendly - sales people can be a bit aggressive but that's to be expected. Overall, I'd recommend this as a first choice to anyone who does not have a home gym or something readily available in their complex. Can't beat the location either - perfect for working out and running errands before or after.

The location was once a supermarket and that translates into the mostly single common space layout that is sort of unique to this YMCA. To me I feel and abdorb more energy from all the more easily visible happy action driven people in greater observable mass of gathering / congregation. And ust a little less in more segmented layouts at other locations primarily thinking yhe WGW YMCA the there seems more familial to me probably cause I started my membership there years before this location opened. All locations great but to me definitely bit different feels which suits my preferences perfectly I love the variety options. And luckily I live smack in the middle of my 3 preferred locations. -- I love the mission statements of the YMCA and the promotion community enrichment, it's dual / multiple missions (see photos of the flyers and room mission labels / titles. I absolutely love that they padded running / walking track circle around the open space equipment workout area. Complimentary coffee provided during morning hours with goood sufficiently strong flavor that is perfect to my preferences. Magazines and lounging areas are super appreciated. Wrapping up I feel happy and energized ane centered when come to this location. I strongly recommend giving this and all YMCA WS locations a try. A super nice feature if travel. -- PS Would be really great if at least on of the YMCA'S per city stay open till midnight. During Covid the schedule lost 1 hour and even 10pm during the week was less than my rythm would like options wise. Now 9pm M-T, 8pm F, 6pm S S.

Be aware that they don't take any breaks but if you need to stop feel free. Classes are held in the school cafeteria. It's very easy to find. The dance moves are very easy to catch onto. I danced with Erica and some of the other ladies of the Jam CLT when they were with another company and it felt like home to be with these ladies again. They do some of the same dance moves from before and they have some new choreography to new songs. The musical selection ranges from Hip Hop to R and B to Pop to Country to Broadway all in one class. You are guaranteed to leave with a new favorite dance move or song!!! Thank you Erica Butler and the amazing women of The Jam CLT for keeping exercise fun in the Queen City!!!! I am so glad they formed this company and will continue the phenomenal work they do.
