The equipment I use is always in service and the locker rooms are clean. I love the tiny steam room and sauna. I have taken a few classes which were good, but the morning class schedule doesn't work with my work schedule. I would love a 6 am low impact class! The one thing that I dislike about Crunch Hoboken are the hair dryers, which are old and take forever to dry your hair. I wish they'd upgrade to fast Shark hair dryers and add some hooks in the shower stalls.

I can understand why--this gym has excellent amenities, including a steam room and sauna. They also provide towels. The body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are all dye-free and fragrance-free. The equipment is top-notch, and everything is well-maintained and clean. I really like the lighting around the gym, too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stop by again when I'm in town!

The instructor Bonnie was incredibly helpful and energetic. The manager of the studio went over session packages for continuing classes and membership at the end of the session. Bonnie spoke in an audible tone, easy for everyone in the class to hear her. We were a decent group of people in terms of quantity; we were 7 people taking the class. The class was fun and informative. It was also a challenge as my first ever Pilates class experience. I enjoyed the class and learning about Pilates and the terms spoken. As a first timer, I didn't know any of the terminology used in Pilates. I was always curious about trying Pilates and I finally decided to give it a try. Pilates introductory class was well conducted. I would recommend club Pilates for anyone who is interested in learning about Pilates and starting a Pilates journey. 10/10 recommendation.

But post the intro class the attention on posture etc mostly went away. There was maybe 1 instructor that was truly interested in helping. It's such big classes that and they move at their own fast pace and do not encourage you to ask questions. Some teachers are actually rude. The worst of All was the customer service. I Have never had such bad customer experience. If you were to miss a class due to a medical emergency forget about it. They don't ever take that into consideration and have zero empathy (even if you volunteer to show docs note). Not only that they charge you extra for missing that class. Their app does not work. Sometimes it sends a class reminder and sometimes it does not. If you book your classes at the beginning of the month you are in for a surprise as you may not get any reminder about the class. It definitely felt like a scam at the end of the day and I did not enjoy Pilates at all.

I have had multiple herniated discs in my life and not once were they in conjunction with my personal training experience with Kristin. I am now done 5 classes so i can fully give an honest review:…read more How I found out about this place was at a community event and I got to try to rowing machine. First day of class was with Neil, very welcoming and listened to all of my concerns as I had a HORRIBLE experience at Club Pilates in Bayonne. He assured me he would watch me carefully and if at anytime i can ask questions. so going in to class we had a warmup... not too bad took about 10 mins to explain each station while showing a demo of how each station works (btw every week is a different set of stations AND pace of said class will go into further detail) okay jumping into it.... did squats (OUCH) i never did well with squats and man i was crying.... being that i am in no shape whatsoever i took a lot of breaks in between reps to catch my breath and all. Neil gave me a few pointers which I thought was great being that I haven't workouts in a while... I am asthmatic and again let me stress i have not worked out since the BS at CP so i left the class and sat down because my legs were in shock.. Neil came out to check on me frequently. Again HIGHLY appreciated of that as that shows the care a manager/owner SHOULD DO! (no i am not being nice to CP) so once the class was over i felt that it was a bit fast pace and I wasn't truly sure I was ready to commit so he gave me an additional free class (strength) to try out. I went back one week later to do the strength class. this one is indeed slower BUT as they say no pain no gain... the reps are more and or on the controlling side where the other classes is cardio, getting your heart rate up for the burn... i took less breaks with the strength but i also step outside to take it easy as this is still very much new to me. the coach for strength was Neil's sister Celine (family own) now the weekend classes changed from the normal 5 stations to 7 stations so I took the challenge and took a weekend class (that Wednesday I had made the commitment to join the pack) Sunday class was with coach Devon and she (Sorry Neil) is the absolute best coach i have had so far... her attention to your form and her pointers to do your best and just overall energy and good vibe made the Sunday class the best i ever had! My main focus is getting healthy, but making friends along the way would be cool... and i think and maybe hopefully i'll make a friend... i really like this place and did i mention there's two showers here??? they also have a recovery room but you have to pay extra for that (boo!) the gym is located at the old bayonne theater that has since been renovated to a multi office building. it is new and clean so yea i really like it here.. I hope this is detailed and it would help those who are also trying to be healthy but feel lost if they have ever been to a gym or if they had a bad experience at a boutique gym... not sure where alpha fit club falls but again i like it here and i hope they will continue to support me and others be well ohhhh i have to say i just had my class with Jon and one feedback i would say is that he lets us do our own warmups... which is okay i prefer to be instructed. nevertheless his positivity and high energy made his class also very enjoyable. tho my arms begs to differ as its been so sore... but in a good way!
