This 5 star review is so well deserved! From the moment I walked in I was blown away by the cleanliness of the facility and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and received help to check in and find shoes. The hand off between employees is so seamless. You can tell that they really take training their employees seriously but it's also genuine how much they want you to succeed and enjoy your time there. What brought me in was seeing a Facebook ad for a free class. I have driven by this location multiple times so was very excited to give it a try. I really didn't know what to expect for my first ride. I joined Olivia's class and she was so amazing. She's a phenomenal teacher that focused on being mindful, pushing yourself and overcoming mental roadblocks. She takes the time to encourage people through that class and that really helps to keep you going. You can tell that friendships have formed by the people who frequent classes and that people enjoy coming back. It was very cool to witness the Cyclebar community during my visit. read more

Cyclebar Dunwoody is such a great place with a wonderful community of people who take classes there. I started attending classes at Cyclebar Dunwoody in June of 2020. My other group fitness place only has treadmills, and I was having issues with shin splints. So I sought out a low impact solution. SO glad I did. All the instructors are fantastic! Reagan, Olivia, Bree, Tassie, Angela and Lauren will all take good care of you. And Colton, the manager and sometimes instructor, is wonderful. He will take excellent care of you as well. I try to take at least two classes a week, but wish I could go more. Damn work getting in my way!!! The price of membership is super fair. It's clean and the staff is wonderful. The instructors are awesome. If you are into fitness or you think you might need to get into fitness (you do if you aren't) then I highly recommend Cyclebar Dunwoody. read more

It was super clean, state of the art equipment and setup and extremely well organized. The music was fun and wasn't too loud. The showers and amenities were well thought out and abundant. I like to stay active and spinning is one of my favorite ways to work out. Cyclebar is the first spinning studio I have ever experienced. I initially discovered it through Groupon. I like it for a few reasons. It's very convenient to home and work. For me, that's key. I want a place that's easily accessible. This Cyclebar is on Ashford-Dunwoody Rd near the WalMart. The instructors are super fun and friendly. They each have different personalities, so you'll definitely find someone your speed. I find them all to be very motivational and welcoming. You need a reservation to take a class, which is easy to do. I have the app and it's very user-friendly. All you do is pick a class and pick your seat. That's it! Most classes are offered before and after traditional work hours M-F, but there are weekend offerings, too. The classes can be pricey, depending on the packages/specials available. I've been going for a few months now and I can say Cyclebar frequently runs specials. That helps. Lastly, I would describe Cyclebar as intimate. I like that. However, when it's busy, it can feel cramped. The locker area is a common area, which everyone uses before and after class. It can be very crowded during peak hours. It really needs to be bigger in order to comfortably accommodate a full class (40+ people). Neither the price nor the occasional overcrowding are deal breakers for me. So, I would definitely recommend trying Cyclebar. You're in for a good workout and you might decide you like it as much as me! read more

Everything was cool at first until during my ride, the instructor started to play R. Kelly. I have been taking cycling classes for years, mostly at LA Fitness, and this is truly a cycling class like no other. CycleBar, Flywheel, and Soul Cycle are all very similar in their style but I really enjoyed my experience at this location. The front desk staff here was incredibly nice and helpful. At other studios (*cough Flywheel Buckhead cough*), I was never greeted by the front desk staff, nor did anyone show me around and help me out for my first class, getting set up, etc. The two ladies at the front here were VERY helpful! They greeted me as soon as I walked in the door (they even had a personalized water bottle with my name ready for me when I got there which was a nice surprise!). They helped show you how to check in, how to get your shoes, where everything was located, etc. They were even sweet enough to find me inside the studio before class to make sure that I knew how to use the bike and that I was set up properly. I VERY much appreciated their attentiveness and it made the pre-class experience much less stressful. The gym itself is small, but really well maintained. They provide chilled and room temperature water (bring your own bottle) as well as some post-ride fruit. They had bananas, apples, and a few other pieces of fruit you could grab on your way out--note that the bananas are ALWAYS the first to go, so if you want one I would suggest grabbing it before class and putting it in your locker. They have plenty of lockers to put your stuff in, as well as a nice sized bathroom/changing area. They have a couple of showers and pretty much any toiletry you may need. They also provide towels which is great, so that you don't have to remember to pack your own. The class itself is so much fun! I love that the room is dark and the music is loud, and I always prefer a class where the instructor picks music that you ride to the BPM's. The only thing is that some of the songs were REALLY fast, and it was almost impossible to keep up. Granted, I'm sure after being more of an expert rider, the RPM's wouldn't be nearly as daunting. I took a class with Erin and she is AWESOME. I loved her vibe and how personable she was, I would definitely take one of her classes again! I also like that they have the weighted bar that gets incorporated into the workout, so that you're not just riding the entire time. I definitely plan on coming back for more classes in the future. This particular gym is also part of Class Pass, which is a big plus. read more

CycleBar is the latest gym to be added in Dunwoody. A Buckhead location is in the making. Dunwoody location is located off Ashford Dunwoody in the Harbor Freight shopping center. It's actually located on the far right side, next to Wild Wings Cafe. Actually, those two are in a separate building not attached to the rest of the plaza. I've heard about these cycling/spinning classes that is like a club, loud music, dark room, so fun. Right now, CycleBar has a few weeks of free classes to try out. Honestly, this gym is very nice, clean, high end, great quality. There are so many complimentary amenities from water bottles, fruits, towels, hair products, hair styling tools, robes, feminine products, and more. It's like VVIP all the way. I've never taken a class where the shoes were provided for you. These shoes are special since it clips on to the bike pedals. I like being in front of the class to hear and watch what the instructor is demonstrating. There are two huge monitors that will let you know your rank of RPM and speed with everyone in the class. The class I attended had 39 people! Overall, the class is fun and interactive. Each machine had a towel for you to wipe down your sweat. Plus every machine also a 4 lb bar for working out the arms. I did have fun but my thighs and butt are so sore. I don't know if it's cause I have a flat Asian booty but I am very sore but am looking forward to go to the class again. I have several more free classes to attend. The classes are pricey compared to other gyms. It depends what you are looking for. If you enjoy cycling, go for it. It is worth it. read more

This place is pretty incredible! I used you go to cycle class all the time when I lived in Lithonia. I was an la fitness member and loved the music and energy. When I moved to sandy springs a couple years ago, I couldn't find a class that worked. I tried Vibe ride about a year ago and it was cool but it was too far especially during traffic. I've heard about this place and I've been meaning to check it out for a while now and I'm so glad I did. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in. They had cool check in areas, they put your shoes cycle shoes in a slot that coordinates with the bike that you chose, for your first free ride they give you a water bottle, free bottle water inside, towels, everything you can think of they already have it waiting for you so all you have to do is show up. What more could I ask for? The ride itself was great! Rich played some exciting music and also showed some enjoyable videos that help the time fly by. We also did some ab and arm workouts which was cool because in the30 minute time that I was there for my free trial, I actually burned 590 calories according to my polar watch . I will definitely be back and I'm glad that I purchased a Groupon when I did because I'll be using that next time and I believe I'll be signing up after that. Thanks for a great ride! read more

Clip in to those pedals--this is going to be a bumpy little ride. Don't worry though, a knight saves the day on her stationary white stallion. That knight, is Cyclebar Dunwoody and Studio Manager Ace. "That's for the wrong studio. Where is Redmond TC anyway?" My wife points out to me as I look at the Groupon on my phone. "What how could this be? I went directly to the link you texted me." "Were you in Seattle visiting your brother when you purchased it?" "Yea, but what difference does that make." Apparently, all the difference according to Groupon. After several emails and one lengthy phone call that was elevated to management, Groupon admitted that even if you go to purchase a Groupon for a specific location, the app will correct you if that location isn't where you currently are and land you on a more suitable deal. No worries, it was just a misunderstanding, right? Surely Groupon will rectify this mishap and refund me or transfer the Groupon so that I can attend Cyclebar with my wife and friends where I live in Atlanta, GA. NOPE! Apparently, being seven days outside of the purchase of the Groupon means that there is no recourse (three days all is forgiven), even if Groupon admitted it was there app that made the change in location. Frustrating to say the least. Huh... maybe my brother or sister-in-law will enjoy some premium cycling in the greater Seattle area. But I am surely not going to purchase another Groupon for a location by me or another Groupon ever for that matter. My wife decides to email the Cyclebar Dunwoody location about the ordeal and gets a much more customer friendly response than the indifference I received from Groupon. After she explains the situation, Cyclebar Dunwoody promptly responds with, "I'm sorry they weren't able to help you out. Even though Groupon was unable to switch it we will make sure that he receives 4 rides at our location at no additional cost." Brilliant! After signing up for my first class this upcoming Sunday at 9:15 AM (Cycle #5 if anyone wants some good customer service mojo, you can book the same cycle), Ace and team casually drop some free classes into my account. Utter awesomeness! So, that brings us here, now, to this very moment. A marketing PhD that specializes in service failures to an extent, myself, is writing a Yelp review praising Cyclebar Dunwoody for their marketing prowess. Wasn't even remotely Cyclebar Dunwoody's issue to rectify but they stepped up, like a hero of legend, and made everything peachy keen. I imagine their classes will lift and firm my booty but I know their stellar customer service has lifted and firmed my faith in humanity and spirit. Let's just start out by saying, I'm not a huge spin fan only because the seats have always been quite uncomfortable for me. I decided to try this place out because my company had a charity ride there. I enjoyed that first ride and decided to take advantage of the 10 days of free classes they offered. I took one class each day for 10 days. By the end my legs were dead but I enjoyed being able to pick a different bike in the room each class and try a different instructor each class. Every instructor I had was really different. If you love high energy and great music, try a class with Keir or Amanda. If you want to learn about proper form and have great music, try a class with Erica R. No matter who you choose, you'll get a great workout, burn lots of calories and sweat a lot! The facility is really nice however it does get a little cramped between the classes. If you need to change, they don't have much room for you to do so but they do offer really nice showers and amenities (i.e. shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, etc.) if you need them. I love the fact that you're not locked into a membership. It's pay-as-you-go. Everyone there is super nice, friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a little variety in your workouts, you should definitely try a spin class here. read more

I was in Atlanta for work, and not wanting to go without working out during the week, I was extremely pleased to find out that CycleBar was only a mile up the road from my hotel. All the reviews looked great, and while I know that no two spin places are alike (I'm a Soul Cycle regular back in SoCal), I was still confident I'd get in a good workout. The facilities are clean and pretty spacious, pretty high-tech (you use an ipad to check in and if you've requested shoes for your ride, you'll find them in the cubby assigned with your bike number). Staff and even the instructor were friendly, but ultimately it was a very disappointing experience. Upon first entering the classroom, I immediately was hit with a blast of frigid air from the strong AC. There were only a few of us total in class, about 12 or so, which I thought was weird for a 6:45p workout on a weekday, which made the space seem way too large and impersonal. I was helped set up with my bike (I'm used to Delta and not SPD cleats) and attempted to adjust to the different style of bike. That aside, I sat there shivering (and I was in a long sleeve shirt), waiting eagerly for the start of class so that the AC would be turned down. The AC was never turned off, with the fans continuously going despite the limited number of people in the room. It was extremely unpleasant. The bikes have a digital screen with shows your rotations per minute, your resistance number, as well as the time, which ultimately became the biggest issue... The instructor claimed they all ride to the beat of the music, but I can't remember a single song, or more than ten seconds going by before she was having us change our resistance, which meant constantly looking at the screen, and increasing/decreasing how fast we were pedaling by giving up a specific RPM we needed to be at. This meant I could never actually settle properly into any sort of rhythm, with one hand constantly on the resistance knob. I had to spend so much time in my seat as I needed to pay such close attention to the digital screen and adjust my settings back and forth. Leaving the class, we were handed cold washcloths, which was nice, but I would have prefered leaving with a good workout and not worrying I was going to get sick because of how cold it was. It's obvious people enjoy CycleBar, but it was simply not for me. I want to be able to focus on myself, and not numbers on a digital screen. read more

I wanted to give indoor cycling a try, and Cycle Bar Dunwoody did not disappoint. You can take up to three classes for free before you decide to commit to a membership. After my first ride, I was hooked! The staff here are beyond amazing. You are warmly greeted when you enter the studio to check-in and and made to feel welcome and comfortable. On my first visit I was given a mini-tour and the staff showed me how to set up my bike and clip my shoes in the pedals. This studio is taking all necessary safety precautions and the staff wear masks, provide hand sanitizer, and sanitize all equipment before/after each use. I felt very safe. Colton, the general manager, helped me to set up my membership and answered all of my questions. He was very professional and polite. I'll say it again, the entire staff were phenomenal. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a fun atmosphere to challenge yourself in your cardio workouts. Loved this studio!!! I usually go to burn or flywheel, so I'm really happy that there's a studio closer to me now, not to mention how much better it is. It's so modern, clean and upscale. They have the most comfortable bikes I've ever used, and they have every amenity you can possibly imagine. My favorite is their water bottles, snacks and lavender towels. The staff is so helpful and friendly, which is comforting to a first timer. Prices are great in comparison to other studios. I can't wait for my happy hour ride after work! Tried my first CycleBar class (free for your first visit!) at the Dunwoody location with Amanda. It was awesome! My friends are regulars and they encouraged me to come try a class too, especially since they got points for bringing their friends. It looks like regulars can accumulate points to earn prizes/discounts. The class was awesome! The music and coaching was great, and I sweated hard. The studio is very nice and clean, and offers top-notch spin bikes, locker rooms, water, towels, shoes, etc. I bought the 3 rides for $29 deal after the class, so I will definitely be back! I'd still give CycleBar Dunwoody five stars for the things that they can control (great Cyclestars, nice clean facility, friendly staff, well maintained equipment etc.) but I'd give one star for the new system / app update that's clearly a corporate / franchisor initiative mostly likely driven by an overly aggressive supply vendor (FitMetrix). In my opinion there was nothing wrong with the old system at all - it gave me the stats I wanted, it was easy to read on the leader board, and scheduling was a breeze. The new system / app fails to give me: time elapsed, a clear start / stop time in class, an in class summary, average watts, the workout bar graphs I liked, plus the in class leader board is really difficult to read, and scheduling is not as easy as it was before. Seems that I'm not alone in disliking the app as it has 2 star rating on Google Play. Did Fitmetrix even test this at any location prior to launching? It feels like Fitmetrix has provided a useless and unneeded update to CycleBar just to justify it's fees... read more
