After class, Rachel gave us a tour of the facility and was incredibly welcoming and friendly, just like the rest of the staff. The gym itself is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. I especially loved the white and tan interior design--it creates a bright, upscale atmosphere. The women's locker room is impressive, featuring lockers for personal belongings, a sauna, and a cold plunge. There are also convenient water refill stations throughout the gym. One of the most unique features is the slide, which definitely adds some personality and fun to the space! There's also an outdoor workout area in the corner for anyone who prefers exercising outside. Overall, Recess offers a great combination of high-quality fitness classes, excellent amenities, and a welcoming community. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

I was referred to Andy Ferguson, and he has been laser focused on getting me to my goals. He's knowledgeable and precise in his approach, and has a wholistic perspective that has been very effective. The staff are friendly and professional - Greyson, john, Gina, and the entire staff is friendly and warm. When I need help they are responsive. I've been to many gyms/trainers, from Los Angeles Equinox, to San Antonio Golds Gym, and Houston 24 hour fitness, but Trophy has really honed in on what makes a gym great and has fair pricing. Plus, parking is convenient and free.

From day 1 every single person on staff was welcoming and personable. One thing that was abnormal about this gym was the community within the gym. I moved to Dallas knowing no one and found this to be a very social gym. Majority of my friends came from meeting other members and trainers. The classes are motivating, the free recovery sessions are a game changer, the trainers are SUPER knowledgeable, and the amenities of a hot tub, sauna, and steam room are the cherry on top. Whether you're coming in to lift heavy, hit a class, or just focus on recovery, this place has you covered from every angle. The amenities are next level -- saunas, recovery areas, stretching spaces -- you name it, they thought of it. But the real standout is the people. The staff is awesome, welcoming, and full of that true Texas hospitality that makes you feel like you belong the second you walk in. And let's talk about the Lifetime Cafe -- they deliver on those post-workout shakes and meals every single time. It's clean, consistent, and actually tastes good, which is a win in my book. I love this gym. It's become one of my favorite places to reset, build, and recover all under one roof. Lifetime really sets the bar.

This gym just gets the job done. Nothing more. After being a member at LifeTime for over a decade,…read moreand spending a couple months at Absolute Recomp, maybe my standards are just too high. The location is the only reason I'm a member here, as I'm big on not having to drive more than a few minutes for a lift. Staff is great and equipment is in good condition. Membership price is reasonable. The bathroom sink sensors are super irritating, anytime I've washed my hands I'm walking between 2, if not 3 sinks. Why do they only turn on once? It's a women's locker room, we use soap there... My main issue is the consistent running out of sanitizing wipes. There's always at least one station completely out, and last week there wasn't a sanitizing wipe in the entire building. Really? This should be a top priority for a gym. Nobody wants to sit on somebody else's sweat, let alone contract a bacterial infection. I guess it makes me feel better that only a small majority of members even wipe down their equipment in the first place. If you're reading this and you don't wipe your bench down, do better. That's disgusting.

I appreciated that when I arrived, I mentioned it was my first time in the gym and offered a very short, quick tour (less than ~3 minutes, which I very much appreciate as a lot of gyms spend too long with the tour and try hard to sell the place before you've even tried the equipment). The gym is solid with diversity in selection of equipment. I saw four power racks which is impressive for a gym of this size in the Uptown Dallas area (for reference, LA Fitness in Uptown is at least 5x the size and only has two racks), but only saw one bench with a rack for bench press. The person who toured me also mentioned it's do whatever you like, so I assume they are flexible in what you use and how. Only thing to note/consider is the gym is fairly small. Although it's well set up and has good equipment, I went at 1pm on a Friday and all four racks were utilized so would be concerned going at prime times. Overall it was a good experience, I'll be looking forward to returning when need another gym or want the specialized equipment.

This review is mainly for the intensity class since I've only taken 1 spin class so far…read more I've been searching for something similar to FSC's intensity class around uptown and had no luck until FSC opened. As a fitness junkie, I've tried probably most studios that are on Classpass/Studiohop around Uptown and Plano. The closest setup to this class that I've been to is Harter Strength and Conditioning in Plano. However Harter offers 3 types of classes (HIIT and LIFT and Metcon), which I'd love to see FSC to incorporate in the future. What I like the most about this class is that there are only 10 (if I recall correctly) people in each class and often times there are 2 instructors present. I also really like how Ryan focuses on form instead of reps or weight. I've been to too many classes where instructors yell at you when you slow down or take a rest or keep pushing you even though you've completely lost your form or never had the correct form to start with. At the end of class, Ryan would lead a short stretching session which is SO NEEDED since I'm either too lazy to or completely forgot to stretch on my own. Yeah I know, it's bad. Now to the spin class, Mike is a terrific instructor who cares about 1) you 2) your form 3) your rhythm and wants the whole class to be on the same energy. It does take a while to get used to the bright room, but hey at least now you can stay in the present and check your form and won't (or can't lol) slack off in the dark

My friend lives in an apartment in the village and she has access to this gym, so while I was…read morestaying with her, we decided to come and work out together. The area where the gym is located is extremely nice, the commons where all of the shared village grounds are (including restaurants and coffee shops, along with this gym) is extremely upscale. My friend told me that in the past, it cost five dollars to bring a guest to this gym, but when we came on a Sunday morning, they told us it was actually $20. We went ahead and went for it since it was just one day, but in the future, just be aware of that. The gym itself is very nice, the facilities are very clean, especially in the locker rooms, and there was a plethora of equipment. Walking in there is a check in desk, and just to the left there is a big staircase next to the indoor space housing a basketball court. If you go up the stairs, there are a lot of machines up there along with free weight /free space areas with kettle bells and yoga mats etc. There's also a small outdoor area with some machines, including a battle rope and a few others. If instead of going up those stairs on entering you keep going towards the back, the locker rooms will be on your right, and there's some additional equipment under the staircase adjacent to the basketball court. Around the corner, there is also a lot more freeway equipment, including a Smith machine (my personal favorite) and free bars for squatting/benching as well as Dumbbells and things of that nature. I noticed also an outdoor area with like maybe a parkour area? I wasn't sure exactly what it was but looked like a grown up jungle gym. And just behind that, there was a large (and busy!) tennis court. On the other side of the gym itself, there were also some large fields that looked like maybe they're for soccer or some other field sport? I didn't see any soccer goals though. There's also a pretty long sidewalk surrounding area that would be nice to walk around, but just be mindful it's not a very shaded area and in the summer in Texas it's pretty hot so I would be careful about that. If you're living in the village, the location of the gym is really great because it's so close by. My friend and I were running late so we actually did drive (took 1-2 min from her apt) and parked in the parking garage underneath the village area; on the Sunday morning that we came it was just free to park there and we didn't even have to take a ticket, the bars were just up when we came in when we left. However, I imagine that if it wasn't a weekend, you may have to get a ticket and pay or validate. Last thing to note: even though it was a Sunday morning, there was a pretty decent number of people in that gym. I never had to wait for anyone to use any equipment or any machines, but I did see some people talking to each other about that. My friend told me that it was basically "empty as far as she was concerned," compared to how it is during the week when apparently it's much busier and you do sometimes have to wait for equipment. Overall, this place is really nice, and given im thinking about possibly moving to Dallas in a few years i am quite strongly considering this area because of how nice it is, and because of the presence of this gym! I wish they hadn't increased the price for guests (or had a fee at all), but for those living here and just using the facilities complementarily, this is a really nice place.
