My wife and I visited Dallas for spring break and she is an Ultimate Dallas Cowboys Fan. It was only right for us to visit the Dallas Cowboys Fit Athletic facility (Downtown Dallas) and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in at 7a, Elyssia assisted us with the utmost charisma and customer service. She was super friendly and accommodating. We didn't know there was an out of state fee to use the facility but with Elyssia's morning sunshine, it wasn't hard to say no. So we paid the $20 a piece with a smile. Needless to say, we had a 24hr pass and came back the next morning for 1 last workout. My wife was able to get some great pics/videos of the facility and enjoy a nice workout. Downtown Cowboys Fit has some pros but the cons finally outweighed the pros after almost 3 years. I joined within the first couple months it opened. I didn't expect it to stay as great as when it first opened but it went downhill quick! I finally quit this gym. First let's look at the positives: Equipment is solid, usually in order, when it would break they fixed it quickly...modern, wide variety. The space is great...not as large as other Cowboys Fit facilities but it's good size and has open space (but see below). Finally... generally the members are alright, I only had one interaction with a rude guy. Here's the cons: Music....it is absolutely too loud and it doesn't make sense because most users have earphones in. Don't choose a spot under a speaker..,you will literally feel the bass pounding through you! Again... modern times... most users have earphones...there are some days that the music sounds dangerously loud. Hearing IS a health issue! Hours: especially on Friday and weekends: closures at 7pm on Friday and 2/3pm on Saturday and Sunday! Only open til 9pm through the week. Plus they don't open until 8am on weekends. Add to the wonky hours....a big reason I quit, Is arrive at 8am on S-S and they wouldn't be open...one of the last straws was when they were 30 minutes late! I did notice something about members...Members don't seem to understand the concept of wiping machines down...pandemic or not...wipe the machines and benches down people!!! I literally watched a guy sweat all over a treadmill...wiped the sweat with his hand....then just walk away!!! (Towels and sanitizer wipes are freely available!!). Guys are STILL not washing hands!! Seriously?? In the last 6 months I saw women wearing some of the tightest and most revealing clothes I've ever seen....and a guy was working out with no shirt (and he really didn't have the body for it!). When I said something to staff...they already knew about it (I guess didn't want to say anything) and they reluctantly said something since ai complained. While we're talking about staff....they could save money by getting rid of most, especially front desk. They're often on their phones and you literally check yourself in...if you have a problem checking in they act like they're bothered....forget about greetings or salutations...too busy on social media. After the pandemic ended (that was a circus) I hardly see cleaning staff and in fact when I quit that was a big reason. The men's locker room was often in poor shape...spills, literally trash laying on floors and benches. I'd arrive first thing in the mornings and multiple lockers (supposed to be day use only) we're already locked...people horsing them for personal use. The ones remaining sometimes had spills and trash left in them. Showers are in disrepair and getting VERY grimy...I had to stop using them. While there space is good...there is a large open space....for stretching, squats, etc....trainers often block this entire space to train a couple people...it's frustrating. I think there are better gyms out there...for this price point...they need to up the game. The basics are there and for $25 would be good but for twice that....improvements are needed! read more

I would give this location a 0/5 stars. I received a text soliciting sex from a personal trainer (Blair) at this location. Never gave this individual my number and he took it from the cowboy fitness system. It's difficult to feel comfortable working out at a gym. The last thing I want is to so be further harassed by employees. I will give praise to the front staff for having compassion and personally reaching out to address the situation. Initially they processed a refund for the month (which had just started) and the previous month. I did have to enroll to another gym and the initiation fees were not covered by what was refunded leaving me out of pocket. I was told by the managers that the situation was escalated to corporate. Corporate never reached out to apologize for the situation or to update me as to what course of action would be implemented on Blair or how they would prevent this type of situation from happening to others in the future. I had to call them to ask for an update, to which they said "we cannot discuss that." Today I was informed (by a friend that still frequents this gym) that this personal trainer is still employed here. If you are a woman looking for a gym I would completely avoid this gym due to the predatory nature of the personal trainers Cowboy Fit chooses to keep employed. Beware! This club offers zero parking options. It's downtown in between the public library where all the homeless people gather and parking is at least $10 a day or more. Meters are also over a $1.25 an hour, but they are usually full and only 5 of them are available on this side of the club. Also, I liked the tour but it was extremely hot in the gym, not well ventilated at all. I would pass out working out. Also the promised 3-day guest pass as advertised was only quoted a 1 day pass during the tour. I'd like to actually try the gym out before I pay $175 down and $75 a month on a small gym. read more

At first, I loved this gym... it's clean & never busy. I am very athletic & struggle to find gyms where people leave me alone. For several months, I enjoyed coming here to use the great equipment. Last weekend, one of the trainers sent me a message... now, this is weird because I didn't give him my contact information (let alone my full name), so this means he went into the computer system and took my info out of my membership file... talk about violating a person's privacy! My address & CC information is in my file! He messaged me at first asking if I'd like to workout & I replied, naïvely, because I thought that's what he wanted... but within a few minutes he admitted that he "just wanted to hook up" and I was appalled. I'm not sure where anyone gets off thinking it's ok to talk to women like that. I have since signed my membership cancelation papers. Hopefully they'll fire this person and do a better job of making sure that in the future, members' privacy is respected. read more

Ashley has a real positive attitude and great customer service skills. She's legit. She works it hard!! I got there when the gym was closing in 25 mins and the door was locked. I knocked on the door until someone opened it and the guy was like "sorry we're closed" while there were people on the treadmill. I didnt even mind him at that point. I scanned my key tag walked my way toward the bicep machine. The gym states that it closes at 3pm on sunday, not 2:35pm on Sunday. How are yall about to try and lock the gym with 25 mins remaining. I live right across the street at Dallas Power and Light Flats, so whenever yall close, ill finish my workout at my apt complex. There are some gym equipment that i like at your gym that i can use within those 25 mins and ill just finish up at my apt complex thereafter, but apparently locking the door before closing time is somehow acceptable Nobody in their right mind pays 54 dollars a month for a gym membership only to not get their appropriate hours read more

The vibe is definitely city-living and there are stark differences between this club and the one in Pflugerville. I really like that the saunas were inside the locker rooms vs co-ed but they don't have an indoor pool and I swim regularly. This gym was awesome when I first joined...it was brand new, hardly anyone in when I would go workout. First, let me say that this review does NOT apply to the front desk, the front desk staff has ALWAYS been fantastic! Also, Quinton is cool and I have friends who train with him and love him. Here's where my issue lies- as a woman, I am aware of what has already happened at this gym and it was disgusting...keep scrolling in the reviews to find that Tea y'all. What's worse is how the gym handled it - they didn't fire the trainer immediately...they waited 2 months. Now, they've brought in a new gym manager who is supposed to "turn things around" and "better the reputation" of the gym...well, let me share with you my observations. I've watched this new manager approach women in the gym to introduce himself but never saw him do the same for any of the men. (Im in the gym 3-4 days a week btw) He actually approached me when I was stretching and had headphones in- which as we all know, headphones in = do not talk to me. I get it, you want to meet everyone, but the way to do it is to work the front desk and introduce yourself as people check in, not by interrupting workouts. Further more, they have now fired BOTH and THE ONLY FEMALE TRAINERS AT THE GYM. I'm going to repeat that...this gym has fired ALL of the female trainers. Upon calling the gym to cancel my next session as they just fired my trainer, I was told IN-DEPTH about why they decided to fire my trainer from this new manager. Fun fact...what he did is illegal. You are not legally allowed to discuss a termination, and certainly not with a customer. This pissed me off more, because he tried to sell himself to me as an upgrade from my original trainer. If you are a female, I can not in good conscience recommend this gym any longer. Hope this helps some of my fellow ladies out there. read more

You can have the greatest facility out there, but if when I call the front desk and they can't tell me where to park, that's not a gym I'm excited to join or visit. It's not rocket science for Cowboys to make a deal with a nearby parking lot. They should have done this from opening day. That they still haven't done this is a little suspect. Even with Golds Uptown closing, there are better, more member-friendly options out there for gyms. read more

I joined Cowboys Fit a couple of months ago when my old gym closed. I was looking for a new gym that had functional fitness equipment but was excited to learn that this gym also had a recovery area. As soon as I signed up, I scheduled my training session and was paired up with Quinton Carter. So glad I decided to do so. He has created a program for me that is tailored to my goals, he is very motivating, and I've seen strides in my strength and mobility. He keeps the workouts fun and very challenging. I have been a gym rat for 10 years now. It is hard being a woman at the gym, if you are attractive it is even harder for you. Leaving one gym to go to the next, I decided to give this one a try. On the first day of my free 3 days the gym was EMPTY I was there around 1 pm ! Happy that I could finally workout in peace. NOPE. Some man comes and decides to start hanging out behind me as I am doing squats at a squat rack. He wasn't even working out he was just playing with the lat pull down handles. On the first day ANGEL (I think was her name) is as nice as she can be, calls me to see how my first day went. I tell her about the guy lingering behind me. She says that they will look over the camera footage and see if they can figure out who he is. I said, "YES! Please do! Day 2 I go back to workout determined to give this gym another try as it is 7 mins from my apartment. On the 3rd day I walk in and Angel is at the front with a co-worker I had never seen before. He jokingly says "I promise , it wasn't me! I was off that day" I'm thinking WTF , so I mention to you guys that I was being harrased and you make a joke out of it? Women are neverrrrrr protected at gyms! They say they won't allow these creeps/ perverts back if they harrase you but that is bullshit. This gym will NOT be seeing me again. Also, the parking is about 2.00 for 1 hour 30mins so if you go 5 days a week that's about $40 added to the $50 IF YOU CAN FIND A PARK =( If you are looking for a gym with less creeps check out OSO climbing gym... it is a bit more expensive but worth every penny....I LOVE IT HERE!
