Wonderful Cyclebar studio! I have taken several classes and been beyond happy with my experience. I use ClassPass, but the studio has plenty of membership options. There is lots of parking in the front and they provide cycle shoes for the class if you don't personally own any. I love the themed classes and the instructors are all uplifting. Well, that was fun! I love spin/cycle classes, but don't often choose to experience them. I have a Peloton bike at home, so paying for additional classes outside of that doesn't really make sense. Fast forward to me following them on insta bc of their killer social media presence (@cyclebarcedarpark) where I saw that they were having a give back ride. HOW FUN! It wasn't cheap, but spin never is--and it was for a good cause, donated back to Young Survival Coalition (a breast cancer charity--Im a survivor and this is a great no profit) So, I signed up and went with a friend. Great class, great energy, great studio. Everything is fairly new and clean, and they provide shoes. The style of the class is a little different than I'm use to. It's more like SoulCycle than Peloton or Flywheel. More dancing and movement on the bike, than climbing. At least my class was, I bet different instructors bring a different vibe. All in all, it was fun! Great for a healthy datenight or girls night out. I'll visit here and there for that. All of the instructors are wonderful, the music is awesome, and it's a fun environment to break a sweat! There are so many different movements you can do on a stationary bike, it's crazy what a good workout to you'll get! The studio is clean, shoes are provided for you (huge plus!), and there are a variety of classes to attend so it fits with your schedule! I love cycling, and I'm so happy to see that Cedar Park finally has a boutique cycling studio. Signing up for a class is easy. Just try to do it days in advance as it seems like classes book up quickly, plus you'll get first dibs on your bike location. There's an app you download, and you can view the schedule/instructor and reserve your bike. The studio: Clean, bright and cheery. Staff at the front desk is welcoming and walks you through the check in process, which is simple. Done on an iPad. At this time, you can choose whether or not you want your name and bike number to be shown on the studio TV during competitive drills, such as sprints. They provide cycling shoes and have lockers to put your goods in. They write your name and something motivational on each locker, which I think is a nice touch. There are two bathrooms. They have extra hairbands, hairspray and other tolietries you might need in your hour visit. Filtered water is provided. After class there have been goodies, like bananas or bagels. The classes/instructors: First, be ready to have a good time. The music is thumping and it'll get you in the right mindset to push your limits. If your ears are sensitive to loud music, bring your earplugs. They might even have them at the front desk. There are plenty staff members walking around to help you get your bike set up if you are unsure. The cycling studio is dimly lit. There are NO Disco balls or flashing lights. I've taken classes from three different instructors now. Each very different in style and personality. They also have different tastes in music so it is worth taking classes from different instructors to see who suits you best. The ride: Fast paced and fun. The instructor will encourage you to ride at a certain RPM to match the music. There are monitors on each bike which will give you that info, as well as what gear you are in. The bikes are smooth. Be aware that the gear may change as your intensity increases. There's songs with sprints, choreography and with resistance (style dependent on instructor). There is also a segment where you use a 4 or 6 lb bar for arm work while on the bike. Your legs get a chance to rest here! Overall atmosphere: Positive and motivating. I used to love this place. The new owner Rhonda has not given me $100 that was promised to me on July 5th 2022. Stealing money from customers is not a good way run a business. I was told so many different promises and stories about what happened to my money that I don't know what to believe any more. I cancelled my membership because of how I was treated. I am still getting notices from CycleBar corporate that I owe late fees even though I went in person to cancel my membership. I had to cancel my credit card as well. You have been WARNED. read more

Do you like biking? Are you wanting to do more cardio with your workouts? Then come on by. It's in a suburb of the city, and traffic on 183 can be tedious depending on the time of day, but stop on in if you want. The first time I got into spinning and cycling classes were back in Houston, but I've thought about a membership here. Classes are with different instructors at different times. You can come as early as 5 AM and as late as 7 PM I believe. Usually I'm an evening rider since it works out with my schedule, but if you want to start your day with a bang, I recommend the early classes. There's also different types of rides such as classic, athletic, and advanced classes where you use different techniques and cardio. It's all about endurance here, but if you're looking for a 45 minute bike ride, this is the place to be. Rides usually consist of 45 minutes and 10 songs, each one with a different rhythm and exercise. One of the songs consists of using a bar for arm and shoulder workout (2-3 minutes), and then at the finish it's all about sprinting to the end. The results are emailed to you to tell you how well you did, and you can get points for perks at their store. You'll be proud of the progress. There are memberships included monthly, usually a pretty penny, but some come with 4 or 8 rides a month. Unlimited is around $120 a month, but it depends on your frequency of the place. I usually just buy packages and go when I can. Stop on in for free on your first ride, and usually they can negotiate membership prices in store. read more

Simply the best most effective workout I have ever done. I cannot believe how much better I feel and how my body has responded. AND- the staff AND ownership are awesome people to be around! UPDATE- 160 rides in the 1 year I have been going, and I have never felt better. 50+ lbs lighter, at least 6 plus inches off my waist. It is not my only workout venue, but it is my core of my fitness, and certainly is my "fitness family". Looking for something different or want to make a change? Unfortunately, I have to update my review as things have gotten worse. First, the good: The instructors are amazing (especially Jolene, Kat, Tra and Heather). The energy of the classes is so positive and fun. The workout is invigorating and makes you happy! However, in good conscience, I cannot give this location more than a 1 star. In the middle of last year, they began to bill me three times a month. It took 2 months of pulling my hair out to get a resolution. In December it began again and they required me to give them another credit card. Long story short, they billed me four times in December. Rather than apologize and try to fix, the General Manager Katie (with major attitude) told me that it was my fault and she would get to it when she had the chance but not for a few days. To add insult to injury, they charged me two late fees of $25 each when they had already charged my monthly membership twice. AND had their collection agency calling me several times. I no longer feel comfortable at CycleBar and will be returning to OrangeTheory. It's disappointing because it's a fabulous workout! They have officially refused to refund any of the 4 charges for December (2 were clear overcharges and 2 should be refunded because they cancelled us a few days into the month and we were not allowed to ride). These charges were proven to them via my AmEx bill but somehow they don't have record of charging me???!!! I was forced to block them on my AmEx because they continue to charge. Now we are getting daily emails regarding our "past due balance" and calls from their collection agency. BTW, several members told me they also had billing issues that took forever to fix. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt before because I think they are constrained by a broken corporate system, but now I feel they are just thieves. And to add insult to injury, I have heard they are badmouthing me to customers and staff. Katie, the General Manager, is very unprofessional. And her comments about how "disabled people work the system" really offended me as my husband is disabled and really counts on exercise to help him with his physical and mental challenges. read more

I took my first class at CycleBar recently. I already go to Flywheel in the the Domain frequently, and tried CycleBar because one of my favorite indoor cycling instructors recently started working there. Everything about the studio and class were excellent. The studio grand opening was in March 2019, so everything is new and clean. They provide cycling shoes at no charge and lockers large enough for a folded change of cloths and and your valuables. The restrooms are set up to also serve as changing rooms. The staff is welcoming and energetic, even at 5:15 am, which is the first class time on week days. If you are an early riser, this class lets you get in your workout and still beat the worst of the morning rush hours. Inside the studio space great things await. Even for the first class of the day it was obvious that the A/C was running and the space was cool without being cold. There are also ceiling fans, which are turned on, once the class starts generating the heat. The room is fairly dark, so you can get in your work or show your moves without feeling self conscious. The "mood" lighting is a soft red, which fits the heat that you be be generating on your bike. There are mirrors on the front wall behind the instructor's podium and just enough light to be able to monitor your form on the bike if you want. The sound system is clear and loud. Ear plugs are available in the front desk area, if you prefer some hearing protection. The bikes have a very smooth ride with no noticeable vibration or pedal clunks. Seat height, seat front to back, and handle bar height are all adjustable to fit the rider. I think the handle bars may also have a front to back adjustment, but I can't recall for certain. There is a digital performance monitor system for the bike. Key performance metrics of your ride are saved and can reviewed on the phone app, your user account online, and are also emailed to you at the end of each class. Items tracked include estimated calories burned, average and maximum power and rpms and simulated miles traveled. There is also a 'leader board" display in the front of class. Appearing on the leader board is optional. The board is used during short "race" segments during the class for head to head competition, and also for total class ride rankings. The class is a mixture of athletic bike riding with sprints, hill climbs, and flat recoveries done from both seated and standing positions. There are some segments with more choreographed movements that introduce more intense core and upper body work into the ride. This is optional and I saw a good mix of participation and riding through in the segments. To be honest, I did not expect to like this aspect of the class, but found that I was enticed into trying some of the moves. Some I could do in my first class, and on others my timing was off just enough to make me stop trying. It was not big deal, when I could not hit the timing, I just went back to normal riding. Even though I only did a few of the movements, I found that I was sore (in a good way) in some unexpected places the next day. So the moves do add some additional core exercise to the ride. One song near the end of the ride uses weight bars for an upper body and arm workout while you continue to ride, I already knew the instructor (Erin) from an other studio, so I was not surprised by the high quality of the instruction. She is an excellent motivator and is riding with an intensity that is just as motivating as her words. She treats the physical and mental benefits of exercise with equal value and gives a lot of herself to generate a rewarding and uplifting experience from class. I know that may sound over the top, but if you enter class with an open mind, you will walk out feeling better every time. If your mind is closed, you may find it opened a bit before the end of class. I highly recommend you try CycleBar and if your schedule allows, check out one of Erin's morning or evening classes. read more

CYCLEBAR is such a fun and inviting boutique workout studio. I've been a member at a few other boutique studio and let me say, they are hands down the best! They provide free cycling shoes, filtered water and TOWELS. Which I love because I ALWAYS forget my towel! Can't tell you how many OT towels I had to buy! From walking in to leaving there was staff helping me along the way! I'm pretty new to indoor cycling so I still need lots of assistance getting on the bike and they are happy to help and also educate me how to do it for future rides. And I feel zero judgement and also feel very encouraged to get better! Can't wait to go back! read more

I have been wanting to join a cycling studio for awhile and was happy one finally opened north. I live 25 minutes further northwest so I love that can pop in on the way to work or on the way home. The online scheduling is pretty easy and I like that I get to pick my bike. After taking a couple classes I figured out which one is under the fans, a must for me! The studio is very clean, I like that they provide shoes. I am an avid cyclist but don't have shoes with the right cleats so it is nice not to need to buy some. After an evening class they offered wine, in the morning there was some fruit. As stated before there are towels, filtered water (bring your own bottle), toiletries in the bathroom and lockers with a code you set. So far my classes have only been with Crystal and she has energy to spare which made even a 5:15 AM class fun. I have seen her come around and give pointers on form and her teaching matches to other spin classes I have taken. I wear padded bike shorts to class but they did offer seat covers, but seriously do your butt a favor and get padded shorts. :) The play list has been all rap or hip hop but I expect that based on many spin classes I have taken I did not notice it was explicit language though. As others have stated it is LOUD but they have offered ear plugs and let you know which bikes might need them more than others. There are plenty of staff (even at 5:00 AM!) to help set up the bikes if you do not know how. All of the staff I have interacted with have been very friendly and professional, the customer service is what I would expect in a boutique studio. Now for the few minor negatives, there are no showers luckily my office has some but it would be nice if the facility was able to accommodate showers. The area to set and put on your shoes gets a bit cramped and chaotic after class, especially at times the classes are close together. I wish the studio was tiered like I have seen in other spin studios, mostly because I am short and like to be able to see. read more

I started riding at cycle bar when they opened in late February. I have never done spin classes before and now I am seriously addicted! The teachers and staff are so encouraging and helpful. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I've been doing classes at Cycle Bar for a couple months now and I LOVE them. The classes are motivating but I never feel pressured to push my body beyond my limits, and they're structured in a way that it doesn't feel monotonous. I had no idea all of the different things you could do on a stationary bike, and CB does a really good job of incorporating different movements into your ride to keep you engaged. I was super nervous about my first class, since i'm definitely not the most athletic. I was worried primarily about judgment from instructors and other riders, but everyone i've interacted with has been so supportive and welcoming. Staff and instructors are always ready to help you with any issue you may have. I've enjoyed all of the instructors but I have to give a shout-out to Kat and Reese! They're friendly and helpful while still pushing you to work harder. CB is a place where I truly feel at home. I would definitely recommend trying it out! read more

I had some of the best classes of my life at Cycle Bar. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I had to cancel my membership due to financial/schools reasons but had to go in person to cancel. I wasn't able to make it there for the next few weeks so the person over the phone suggested i put my membership on hold in the meantime. They explained I would be charged because of this window, but that I could come to the studio anytime to cancel. I understood, and was charged the $130. I came in a few weeks later when I had time to cancel my membership. They explained I had to take my account off hold to cancel, and because of this I would have to pay another month. There was no way around this. I am disappointed because until I had to cancel I had nothing but amazing things to say about this location. They need to re-evaluate their cancellation policies. I still recommend this location, but be careful if you ever need to cancel your membership. After my first class here, I decided to sign up for the unlimited monthly pass. I have been going to classes for about a month now and already see a huge difference in myself. I am much stronger than before and am able to keep up in the class with more ease. I have had the opportunity to try several instructors - Kaisa, Ka, Heather, and Robbie. All of them have been wonderful and each one brings their unique style to the class. I will probably do another review after the grand opening rides are done. I've taken spin classes all over Austin for 10 years now. The positives, great location, love that they email you your stats and you are not forced to have your info on display during the rides. I love that you get the playlists emailed for each class too. The negatives, I've done 4 classes with all different instructors and only one had a lot of energy where I actually felt motivated, felt the others were just going through the motions. None of them have gone over proper form or tried to correct anyone which is concerning because its easy to get injured without proper form. I'm used to harder, faster classes but this studio is slower so it is great for newbies. I'm hoping they add more class times as the need grows. read more

I've been going to CycleBar for almost a month now and am loving it! The staff is all super friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable in my first class because of their guidance. I love that they supply shoes, water, and free cold towels after class. What keeps me going back is the atmosphere. I've tried several instructors and Erin is my favorite, but they are all great! She just knows exactly what to say when I need to hear it! Ugh. Bumping this down to a one star rating. It's a bummer because I really do love the classes and the instructors at this location. It's such a fun and encouraging environment to work out, without judgement which is rare. That said, new Cyclebar locations are opening up in downtown Austin later this month which is a solid 15-20 closer to my house (I'm in the Del Valle area). After seeing this I opted to cancel my membership with Cedar Park and move it to one of the new locations. I have called and emailed several times in advance of my auto-renewal membership date to request a cancellation. A representative finally got back to me and told me I'd need to come in. This facility is pretty out of the way for me as it is, and the terms/conditions on the Cyclebar website even state that you can cancel the same way you signed up. I signed up online, so imagine my shock at finally getting a single response via email and being told I have to go in to the facility to fill out a physical form to cancel. I asked the representative for some leniency in hopes that if I came in to cancel on the day the auto-renewal was supposed to go through that I would not be charged. No response. I called. No response. I left two voicemails. No response. I was charged, and I emailed again. No response. Just... wow. Nobody should have to perform Olympic gymnastics to get ahold of an employee during regular business hours. I'm really off-put by this experience and am truly hoping that the other locations don't use these types of business practices. read more

Had my first ride today! I had never taken a spin class before so I wasn't sure if I would like it but it was great! Positive, clean atmosphere. I love that they have water, towels and shoes. They have pads for the seats and it was definitely needed as I didn't know about them until after class and I was hurting a little so I will definitely use it next time! The room is dark so it was non-intimidating for a first-time rider. The app makes it easy to book classes and keep up with your stats. My legs were like jello afterwards so I know I got a good workout. The weight bar portion of the class was a nice break to workout your upper body. Looking forward to more rides! read more
