Fortunately, my cousin lives in the Orlando area, and he was able to get me out to Cycle Gear where they had a battery for me. We were able to get out there, get the battery, and be on our way without any issues, and replacing the battery fixed the problem on the bike, so all was good. I was able to phone ahead to the store and they put the battery aside for me so that when I arrived about an hour later, they had it ready to go. Great service on their part, and it definitely saved my butt!

They have a good-sized store with a few things I wanted to check out; however, it would seem most of the store was either geared towards Motocross or Crotch Rockets and not your average Cruisers. I couldn't find a good pair of riding boots that weren't for either of those types of customers, riding pants tailored to people with a slimmer waist and shorter stature, or a brake light harness allowing me to upgrade my lights for protection on the road at night. I took a few pictures to check pricing when I got home and found they were selling some items for the same price online, but others were way overpriced. The only time we were asked if we needed help was when exiting the store. It's a shame, as they have a lot of people on the floor, but they seemed more interested in shooting the breeze with other employees than to offer assistance.

Cycle Stop USA - Sloppy work, fish eyes in paint, rough paint over decal. I was charged $1800.00 for this sort of work.

So after many days of research I decided to go with the Factory 47 14" bars. I normally have all my work done at my local Harley dealer but they told me I would need extensions which would cost an extra $300 and it would take 6 hours to put them on at $100 an hour. Factory 47 website said the 14" signature handle bars did not need extensions on the Road Glide but I could not convince my Harley dealer of that so I looked on Google and came across Cycle Stop USA in Plant City. I spoke with Jason one of the owners and as luck would have it they were a authorized dealer for Factory 47 bars which meant they could order them direct from the factory and have them delivered to Cycle Stop USA which saved me a extra step. Jason also said he could install them for for less then Harley which he did. The only hitch in the entire process was it's the holiday season so it took about 2 weeks to get them from Factory 47 (normally 4 days) which was not Cycle Stop fault it was do to do to popular demand. Jason and his team did a top top-notch job I could not be happier. He was very informative the entire step of the way and he saved me some money in the process. I will definitely be using Cycle Stop USA for much of my motorcycle needs including my 5K MNT which is about 25% less then Harley as was well as any tire needs since tire installation is free with purchase. As a matter of fact I had Jason order me a Vance and Hines Fuel pack FP3 which he will be installing and setting up for me later this week. If you are looking for an alternative to Harley or Victory repair and you livein the Tampa Bay area you can't go wrong with these guys. That is for damn sure!

Cycle "STOP" a perfect name for this shop. If you take your bike there you might not see it for…read moreweeks, months or more. I had an accident on 6/26/2024 and took my 1994 Harley to Cycle Stop for repairs. Beware he is nothing but a used car salesman in the way he sooth talks you. He took my $3000.00 and did nothing on the bike. I had rehab to do after the accident for three months so he thought he could just push me off and not repairing the bike and use me money for God knows what. When I was able to go to check on the bike [three months later] it just sat there with wires hanging out and no tank no lights or anything that was damaged on the front was done. Every time I asked when it was going to be ready, he would blame it on the paint guy. If I had someone that paints that slow, he wouldn't work for me long. Those repairs should not have taken over two months but still sat four months just starting on the tank repairs. We are in October now and I would stop in to see the progress, there was none. I Asked again when it was to be finished and he got irate and said when it was done, he would let me know and threatened me with bodily harm, he said "if you were younger there would be fists flying". He also made fun of the way I walked and said you can't even walk how can you ride a bike. I told him there's a difference in walking and riding. So, Jason is treating a senior citizen a paying customer like that just because I stopped in every two or three weeks to see how my bike was progressing. Now its November, now its December, finally the fender and fuel tank are painted. When I went the day after Christmas the bike was still apart with the parts, tank and fender, just lying on the bench. I had enough and disputed the $3000.00 charge on my M.C. and took the money away from him. Wow that got a fire under him and some work started to be performed. Still took at least another two months and some help from my insurance adjuster to get it finished. I then reversed the dispute and gave the $3000.00 back, he then said it was held up in his bank and I ended up paying $5000.00 it get my bike out of there. I asked about the $3000 and he said of course he would return it when he could that would be the honest and morel thing to do. He doesn't know what those two words mean because I had to take Cycle Stop to court to get it back and it took thirteen months to do that, look it up in the Polk County court system. Now I have to replace the ridiculous handle bars they installed and put the correct ones on and stuck with the substandard work they did, pictures included. The first time I got on the bike and put my foot on the highway pegs they just turned, they were not installed correctly. First bump I hit on the highway the headlight just fell pointing at the road, after two weeks the turn signals stopped working. I found a wire was pinched when it was put together and blew the fuse. The seat was installed wrong it wasn't hooked in the front clip. All of these items could have caused serious harm or death! Wondering why I did not take the bike back for these problems? Well, I was forced to sign a paper saying I accepted it on the spot when I picked it up even though their invoice says there is a 30-day warranty! I won't take a tricycle to this place and you won't if you are smart!

Cycle Gear provides for all of my motorcycle riding safety needs. If I cannot find what I need…read morehere, the only other place to shop is online. Cycle Gear sells tools, maintenance supplies, chains, tires, emergency repair kits, riding gear, and more. Yes, JP cycles, Seminole Power Sports, Harley Davidson, and some other local retailers carry safety gear, but Cycle Gear has them beat by a landslide. If you do not already know, motorcycling is an expensive hobby/sport. After paying for and completing the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course, you will need to purchase a used bike (like me) or spend a minimum of $7K for a new motorcycle. Then there are the costs associated with the tag, title, and insurance. With that out of the way, you can finally ride! But wait, there is more, don't forget about the riding gear! That is where Cycle Gear comes into the picture. A rider can get only away with wearing cheap gear for so long. $50 skull caps, $20 Walmart fingerless gloves, $25 Levi jeans, and $50 Converse sneakers will protect the rider as long as an incident never occurs. Trained riders know that incidents will eventually happen, even to the best of riders, and when it does, you need to be wearing the appropriate gear. A full face, top quality, DOT/Snell-approved helmet will cost $160-$900. Mesh riding jackets and pants lined with Kevlar and removable CE padding starts at $160. Gloves that protect your fingers, knuckles, palms, and wrists cost $50. Good boots usually cost $150; be sure to stay away from laces unless they tie-up well above the ankle. So, as you can see, quality riding gear gets expensive quickly. It is brutal wearing riding gear all year round in Florida; however, I will take the opportunity to prevent injury or tragedy should something happen; and I am thankful Cycle Gear has what I need to stay safe. One of the best services Cycle Gear offers is tire changing service. Cycle Gear staff will remove the old tire from the rim, install the new tire, and balance the wheel; however, the customer is responsible for removing and reinstalling the wheel onto their motorcycle. The customer can save substantially if they have the know-how to work on their own bike. On my most recent visit, I purchased two new tires from Cycle Gear online ($221.47) and had the tires shipped to the store. The staff called about two days later when my tires arrived. I delivered my wheels to the store, and my new wheels were ready for pickup in an hour. The service costs $25 per tire install and $8 for one new metal valve stem. The whole ordeal cost me $280 + tax + my own time to do the work. Not a bad deal when compared to changing a tire at the dealer. In the past, I have paid $225 at Seminole Power Sports to change only the rear tire, and a friend of mine spent $280 for a rear tire change at Harley Davidson. I have been purchasing goods and using Cycle Gear services since I started riding back in 2013. I am happy to have always received exceptional customer service at this location. I highly recommend stopping in to see the store, even if you are not a rider. The store is clean, organized, has a lot of awesome gear, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Inside the store the staff did an amazing job of helping me and my wife find a helmet. They went over literally every style and brand of helmet for us and explained the differences. I could tell that the two working there knew what they were talking about and were passionate to share their knowledge. Other than a helmet, I ended buying a riding jacket and gloves. No complaints thus far!
