I dropped my phone in February and the screen shattered. I was hesitant of replacing my screen because my sister replaced her screen once and the people who did the service for her didn't do a proper job and her phone stopped working. I am a seriously low tech person, who never the less really depends on her laptop. When mine wouldn't start Dell Tech ran a diagnostic and convinced me that I needed to replace my hard drive at a cost of $150.00 or more. I was given a choice of fed-exing the laptop to Dell or finding a local person. I found Cyber on U through Yelp and believe me it exceeded all my expectations. The polite and intelligent young man who assisted me had it working in about 30 seconds. Apparently the Dell tech was either incompetent or dishonest. Thankfully Cyber on U was neither. Max has helped me out three times. When my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro broke, he fixed it with no issue. When my Nexus 5 broke the first time, there were issues with the first replacement screen, but the second one worked just fine. I broke my Nexus 5 again, after falling in the street and he got the screen a day later. Overall, I have no complaints. read more

The previous place told me that it was tricky to install and therefore they had to charge me more and it would take some time as well. Do not come here for laptop or computer repairs. What is clear immediately is how much phone repairs are their main business. Max was nice enough when I dropped off my laptops on a Wednesday. He said he would have an update on one on Friday and the other on the following Monday. Friday comes, no call from Max. I think to myself that I'll give him the weekend. Monday, no call. Okay, I'll give him one more day before I call. No call, on Tuesday. I called and Joe answered saying there was no update and that Max was busy with a customer (in fact I never got on the phone with Max). I called again Wednesday and nothing again. On Thursday, I probed more and it became clear that little to no work was actually done (one laptop had a broken key that apparently takes more than a week to fix) and Joe was trying to stall for Max. I told Joe if it's not ready today I'll have to take them back and give them to someone else. End of day, and still no update! I was forced to take the laptops back. Joe was on the phone with Max, calling me "what's-his-face" in my presence. There was no apology for the failure in service, the lack of communication, or the unprofessionalism. Before I left I asked "do you know why I'm taking them back?" Joe said he did and I left. So these are the kind of people who will be knowingly and intentionally unprofessional. I would have been fine if they had communicated their progress by making a 30 second call when they said they would, but I was forced to keep checking in when I was constantly assured that they would contact me. So if you want a professional laptop storage solution come here! I can't speak for their phone repair service but I was tempted to take a sharpie to their banner and cross out laptop repair. Max is THE ABSOLUTE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. He's fast, he has good hours, he's willing to go above and beyond. Recently BOTH our phones had water damage due to a rafting trip on the Delaware river and we knew we would not make it back to NY before his closing hours. We texted him and even though it was right before the weekend and we were going to be late getting to him, he took the phones no prob. Mine was done nearly instantly and my husband's was almost unfixable but he pulled a rabbit out of his hat and fixed the damage! We still had 12 months of payments on my husbands phone so we would NOT have been able to replace his phone right away! I am just blown away by his level of expertise, his professionalism, the tips and information he gives us about the phones FOR FREE, the works. He needs to clone himself and set up ten other little shops all over the city so you never have to panic if you drop your phone in the toilet. TAKE IT STRAIGHT TO MAX! If it can be fixed, he will fix it, and even a few cases of where he's brought a phone or other device back from the dead via voodoo powers alone. And the Yeshiva of Flatbush trusts him to fix allllllllllll those iPads their kids need for school! That's a lot of iPads...yet he still has time for the little guy. If a huge, prestigious yeshiva trusts him, yet he can take care of them and still have my water-damaged phone back after a weekend, as far as I'm concerned he's the gold standard. I honestly never write reviews because..well, I'm too lazy to do it. Yet I felt when I left Cyber On U I would be doing a disservice if I didn't. Honestly when I walked in I didn't know what I would get. I had just dropped my IPhone 6 and the entire screen cracked. All I wanted was for it to get fixed, fast and not pay an arm and a leg for it. It took no more than 20 minutes and the price with a brand new tempered glass screen protector was still cheaper then every place I called, and no wait which was important. I didn't get the owner's name when I was there but I guess from reading the rest of the reviews that it was Max. Max was very nice, quick and before we left made sure everything worked. The owner at Cyber On U ripped me off. I went there with my galaxy s5 which needed a new speaker, and a back cover. So the next day I went to pick my phone up, and about 10mins later without me even walking out the store, I learned that my speaker was still not working right and he had replaced the back cover to the s5 with a cheap one which was not the way i gave it to him but i didn't really make a big deal out of it as I really wasnt looking into the details because I plan to get a new phone soon. So I brought the phone back and this time he kept it for 3 days, even though he said he would have it fixed in a day, and he said he would call me when it was fixed, but he never did, nor did he reply to my email. Eventually I got it on a Tuesday, and about 30mins later, my phone speaker was still not fixed because he never replaced it which was what I payed for, he only try fixing it. He ripped me off, the time wait was bad by the time i got my phone back. For all his troubles, he kept giving me stories about the problem, but we all know when someone is full of sh*t as we think on our feet. Well, he lost me for good. I actually would of brought him more business, like getting my phone rooted and bringing my old galaxy note 4. He gets not one star from me! I got cake batter in the speakers of my new, expensive phone that I really love. I tried cleaning it out with toothpicks, which only made matters worse. The speakers were not working and I was very upset. I almost just switched back to my old phone because I was sure it was a lost cause.
