I've gotten to know the owner, as we're work neighbors. He's always friendly and takes time to say hello when our paths cross. Most importantly, my car always comes out clean and looking great! The prices are reasonable and definitely comparable to, if not better than, what you'll find at other car washes. I have kids and a dog, and my car is always in a condition that is really ready for a good clean. I'm talking some dirt build up and sand etc- no spills or anything major. The max I have paid is under $100 (plus a generous tip). Today I showed up with my car in its usual condition, and waited 10 minutes outside a half opened door with the "open" sign on. I had to call for a couple minutes before someone came and opened the doors. There is a younger man who came in hotheaded- he started rudely saying "oh wow" about the condition of my car. He then said it'll be a minimum $130.00 - which is well above what I paid before. I'm happy to accept up-charges, and pay fairly.. but it was his disrespectful manner that threw me off. He came off as a used car sales person. Trying to upsell. They also only had one car in the shop, and quoted me a long time. He said that "moms with kids" should pay more, and spoke in a mansplanning manner throughout our conversation. He also began shouting at me before I had to politely close my window and wish him a good day. We have three cars that we have been brining to this place for years. They have lost our business over the outrageous upselling, but more so, the hot-headed misogynist that seems to be (trying) to run the show. The front staff was accommodating and helped put together a cleaning package price for me and set a date. When I arrived for my appointment he took the keys and answered all of my questions and then sent me off with an expectation that it would take about 3 hours to complete. The nice part about their location is Tim Hortons being right nearby. I did utilize that in between, of course! I received a text message from them around the 3 hour mark and went to pickup my truck. They gave me a complimentary air freshener when I paid and then took me to inspect their service. I wasn't disappointed. It smelt SO fresh inside, the carpets were incredibly clean, all of the surfaces were clean and you could tell they'd spent time getting into the cracks of things. I will say however, that my steering wheel has never been the same- but that doesn't bother me. Whatever cleaning product they used stripped off the parts of the wheel that had been peeling- about one third of the steering wheel is slightly rough now. But again, doesn't bother me. However, if you have a nice-r vehicle or you're worried about things breaking or being peeled/chipped/etc, I think you should go to a more luxury auto detailer. Aladin is a great service for cars that are daily drivers. It is not a great service for expensive or new cars. I would 100% take my vehicle back to them. For the price and for the incredible clean it was worth it. I was enjoying the 'new/clean car smell' for days after!

Today I asked him to estimate work on a cosmetic repair to cover over some foreign paint stains transferred to my car's fender and quarter panel. Mike did the inspection on the spot, calculated and wrote up the estimate and then said "But, I wouldn't do it if I were you." Instead he told me how to remove the paint stains, where to find my pain trim color code, and how to touch up the scratches myself. He then did the paint stain removal himself while I watched. And, no charge for any of this.
