He didn't have a lot of choices and was telling us if we wanted a particular stain or router edge, we'd have to drive 30 miles to bring it to him. We wanted to wait, but he talked us into a different unmatching style and color. He had us sign a sheet of graphing paper which didn't have any type of contract on it. He said he wouldn't be starting it until August 1, 2019 This was a Friday evening. Over the weekend we decided to go a different more convenient direction. We called him on Monday morning and told him we'd changed his mind and we wanted a refund. We were within the 3 day rescission period and it hadn't even been one full business day. He complained but promised to refund us after his 10 day vacation. He claimed he "didn't have the money anymore and spent it." WTF? We waited and after 10 days didn't see a credit on our credit card. We called and he said that he'd send the refund. After a few more days we decided to open a credit card dispute. He called and started yelling at me a few days later and said "Now it will take even longer for you to get your money." He claimed to have issued a refund already a few days prior. I checked with the credit card company and they said that if we released the funds that the return would've at least been pending but immediate. I called him again with the credit card company on the line again and he wouldn't answer the call and the credit card customer service agent in disputes left him a message. I will be contacting the BBB. BUYER BEWARE. Travis is unethical and unprofessional. He may see cheaper then others but you get what you pay for or maybe at least a $800 charge with no product! Buyers Beware of Travis Cottam, Quality Custom Cabinets in Farmington UT. We purchased 12 kitchen…read morecabinets from Travis and the cabinetry received are very poor quality in finish and craftsmanship. Travis comes off very friendly, honest and trustworthy. He requires payment in full, which unfortunately, is the first red flag we overlooked. If there are any concerns, he becomes very unprofessional, refuses to acknowledge or fix any problems you may have. We tried on 2 different occasions to address our concerns such as the cross grain scratching on the cabinet doors, the stain runs, the inconsistent stain color compared to the sample panel we ordered from, the lazy Susan cabinet that ended up in a shaker panel(we ordered raised panel) and it is significantly darker than the rest of the cabinetry, and the poor workmanship on the gritty finish causing a non smooth cabinet door finish, along with a drawer front that has a crack and hole right were he installed the cabinet pull we ordered through him. We have had multiple professional opinions and quotes for refinishing. Each one has stated his finish work is of poor quality and clearly did not take the time to or is just unskilled and being a cabinet maker. It will cost us another $2500 and another 4 months without a kitchen, to get our cabinets fixed. Travis states he has done 1000 cabinets and everybody has been happy but us. I feel Travis Cottam may have the potential to provide a quality cabinet based on what we were originally shown, however he did not on our build. I found a BBB review from another one of his customers that is almost identical to our concerns, and a yelp review which is very similar on his customer service after the fact. Travis with Quality Custom Cabinets does not stand behind the quality of his work, has no customer service and I feel it's only fair to share this so somebody else doesn't have experience the hardship we have.

The rep, Scott, I spoke with was to give me a call with a quote which never happened. I called them 3 separate times and each time I was promised a call back which never happened. How does a company survives with this type of service is beyond me. If this is how this company operates I would hate to see the shit show performing a project. Needless to say, I decided to go elsewhere.

We also provided an undermount sink for them to attach. At the time, they indicated they had difficulty attaching the sink, so it took a few extra days for it to be ready for pick up. We paid $506.22 at the time. This weekend, the sink fell off the countertop. Since this was installed in a rental unit and Out of the Woods is not open on the weekend, we had to pay a handyman $250 to fix. Out of the Woods indicates they will not guarantee the sink install that they did in 2021 because it was a fabrication only. They indicate whoever installed should have used clips. This was not communicated to us at the time and nowhere in the very long list of Terms & Conditions that we signed off on does it indicate they don't guarantee fabrication work and nowhere on the detailed invoice with specs and detailed info regarding work done does it indicate anything additional is needed to support the sink. Very, very disappointed as we feel we were seriously overcharged at the time since we provided the granite and sink and all they had to do was the backsplash and sink cut out and attach the sink. We really feel taken advantage of.

He pretty much said our cabinets were crap and we should replace them even though thats not what we needed done. However we liked the quote we received on what we did need done so we decided to go with him. We had to go out of town for a week so I called to set up an appointment when I returned home. After about a minute of trying to explain who I was he said "Oh yeah let me call you back this afternoon when I get to the office". No call. A couple days later, I called no answer. I texted him the next day, no response. I called again the next day and no answer and left a voicemail saying please call me back whether you can fit us into your schedule or not because we need to go in another direction if not...no call back. I finally had my husband call to see what was going on. Josh answered immediately and apologized to him and said he would call me personally to apologize.
