CVS in Weymouth could definitely be better for both the customers and employees. It's just not up to par with many of the other CVS stores around. Never enough staff and poor availability of products. I typically find the shelves are nearly always empty at this particular location in many of the departments. The food, seasonal, greeting cards, and vitamins always seem to take the brunt of it here. Not sure if they just do more business in those departments, but they need to address their shipments then! I do like the size of this store, it's spacious and has full space for a full selection, this fantastic benefit should be taken advantage of by the company, and they should fully stock the shelves. Employees do seem friendly, and they are very "coupon friendly" (never argue about coupons). I was quite surprised when I recently stopped at the Walgreens right down the road from here.... they do not even accept internet printable coupons due to "fraud", definitely prefer CVS! Parking lot is huge. Drive thru pharmacy also available here. Open 24 hours, both the pharmacy and the store. Just to note, the correct address for GPS purposes is 474 Washington Street, Weymouth. Not either what the CVS website says "At the Intersection of Route 18 and Route 53" or what the store receipt reads, "500 Washington Street". Okay, but nothing about average. Sandra at the pharmacy is probably one of the most disrespectful and rude human beings who has no business working at a pharmacy. You have no idea what people are going through picking up medication and to treat people how she treated me is extremely unprofessional. I had a common must needed prescription be put on hold for over 2 weeks and when trying to use the app it says must contact pharmacy called numerous times/days for wait times up to 45 minutes and then hung up on. The drive thru window is "broken" and the wait times inside are ridiculous. i decided today to transfer all my prescriptions to the CVS on Commercial St. they answered the phone in less that a minute and told me my prescriptions would be ready in a few hours. This is by far the slowest and rudest cvs ever. Don't try calling them either. They do not answer. I had a question about my 9yr olds cancer meds and tried calling. It rang for over and hour. I hopped in the car, waited in a long long line of 3 people (over 30min) and was then waited on and told them how I was still on hold of over 1.5 hours and they told me they don't answer the phone anymore. Worst pharmacy ever. Things are never ready on time. Medicines they say will be in stock are not in stock. They don't answer their phones. In order to get a script filled, I have to fill it via the website, go to the store, show up at the appointed time, then wait twenty minutes in line, only to be told the Rx is in process" and will be ready fifteen minutes after that. So, I can't understand why this location has so many problems in the pharmacy. Other nearby CVS Pharmacies don't seem to have the same problem. I had a problem with a prescription and the girl took 30 minutes to look up my name. She kept entering incorrect information. Another time, it took three days to find out that my prescription wasn't covered (a common problem here). I had to contact my doctor to get a different prescription, which took another two days. My old pharmacy would've known within an hour, contacted the doctor for me and fill a prescription in bother 30 minutes. Not 5 days. read more

I went to the drop off to ask the black girl with the glasses to please transfer my prescription on this store to avoid me driving all the way home to get it. It took me over one hour to have a simple 20 seconds task. I saw 7 other patients coming in dropping ex's to be imputed and processed in the system arriving and leaving and no one acknowledged me or ask me what I was waiting for. That's because I have strep and had to stay contaminating other patients. What's the the Cvs credo because taking care of community or provide excellence in service you can long forget about. So-so. Store is kinda messy but I can usually find most of what I need. The overnight people are good except for that one stocker guy who always seems like he's angry at something. Not sure why. I've observed it many times and I've even heard him angrily swearing at things, I don't know if he's talking to the items he's putting on the shelves or to me as I enter his view. It's... not good. I like that this location is big and it has everything but they seriously need to have more people working up front at the registers because lines build up very quickly here and it is such a busy location due to the route that it is one. I was in here recently and the cashier let the line get to be so there were about 6 or 7 people behind the customer that was being waited on before she called for an additional cashier. She was working the front end by herself and clearly needed help to get the line moving long before she called for it. I seem to run into this just about every time I shop there. I went to the other cashier who was called so I could pay for my items and she was not friendly at all. So two stars for a well stocked and clean store but this is definitely not the best location as far as quick and friendly service. Have called the pharmacy and store just to be put on hold for way to long. When the pharmacy finally answered, they picked the phone up just to hang it up. I was trying to cancel a prescription and get it transferred because it end up at the wrong CVS. I could not transfer it without calling. The CVS that it was supposed to be at tried to call bother the store and the pharmacy also. I understand being understaffed but you are messing with medicine that people need to feel better. Today was the frustrating day utilizing the coupons provided by CVS, most of them don't work according to who I believe is a very uneducated, short sighted person at the register today. After being told I was wrong multiple times with no explanation other than her being shortsighted and and uneducated. I asked to have my Order voided and left the bag items and remaining items in my cart at the register in sheer disappointment and frustration for how I was spoken to and the overall outcome. The fact that it's 24 hours is not worth the waits, the screw ups, the chaos.... I don't know what exactly is wrong at this store. I don't know if the pharmacy staff are not getting the training they need, or if management (upper or middle) is not staffing the pharmacy appropriately for the volume of customers and scripts they handle. Maybe they have a new and terrible computer system, or an old and even more terrible computer system. Maybe they have awful morale, and employees call in and/or turn over often, and the ones who are there on any given day are demoralized and disempowered and therefore unable to work effectively. I don't know what the actual problem is, but there is definitely a problem and you should definitely go somewhere else. read more

The CVS on Middle and Washington always seems to amaze me! Every time I go there the pharmacy staff just continues to grow more incompetent, slower and absolutely rude with an attitude that is beyond any excuse for keeping them on the payroll. CVS needs to reevaluate the staff and terminate 99% of them - there is no excuse. In nov 2018 the FDA banned a high blood pressure medicine. They stated the medicine contains carcinogens. Cvs continued to dispense the medicine until what they had in stock was depleted. I learned this when I attempted to refill and they stated the medicine was on back order. After a week cvs told me to go Walgreens for the medicine. I learned of the ban when I googled the medicine to find a replacement medication. When I called the pharmacist Greg, he said they are understaffed and my dr should have told me the medicine was on back order. He gave a 800 number to call to speak with his supervisor Victoria but refused to give last name or initial. He said this national company would know who Victoria was. Of course they did not. The purpose of the 800 is unknown because they were incapable of providing any assistance. The fact that I did not have the medicine a doctor prescribed for high blood pressure with a cardiac complication did not cause a problem for the cvs representative. I will file a complaint with my ins and employer to drop cvs as a provider. As a federal employee cvs will care that they will lose revenue!!! Go anywhere but cvs!! read more

Aweful. Pulled up dropped off my prescription and an hour later I get a phone call that it's not in stock and then I have to go pick up the prescription paper. Tried to call them back to let them know that I could not pick it up to see if my mother could because I was an hour away and nobody picked up. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST PHARMACY!!!! I had a prescription that was scheduled for delivery, which was placed and confirmed by 2:29pm, and supposed to be delivered by 5:30/5:45pm or so. When the medication had not been delivered, I proceeded to call the pharmacy, and proceeded to WAIT....AND WAIT....AND WAIT..... When I had been on hold waiting for over 30 minutes, I decided to call the corporate number for their delivery service. I was on the phone with them for roughly 45 minutes (meanwhile my cell is still ringing the pharmacy). Both individuals that I spoke with on the corporate call, tried contacting the pharmacy through a back way, and they didn't answer their calls either. Both were extremely apologetic, and now the district lead is supposed to contact me tomorrow. Unfortunately, I still needed my medication, so I was forced to go to the pharmacy, meanwhile, my cell is STILL ringing the pharmacy!!!! When I get there, there's two people behind the counter, and one guy giving flu shots. Then, the announcement stating THREE PHARMACY CALLS (NOT BEING ANSWERED)!!!! I'm ignored as I wait to be helped. One kid, doing both the drive thru and the register, and the other guy processing God knows what.... Obviously, not mine. It's nearly 7:30pm at this time and my medication should have been delivered by 2 hours ago. The kid finally calls me up, takes my info says there's one ready, brings it up and tells me how much I owe, and I'm like IT'S ALREADY PAID FOR!!!!! Which I had proof of in my email! But the register wasn't showing it as paid. I proceed to show the kid my phone and state I have been on hold for almost an hour and forty five minutes waiting for you to answer the phone (as another THREE PHARMACY CALLS announcement goes over the speakers). The store manager comes out and pretty much does nothing, besides tells me I need to pay YET AGAIN, AND WAIT FOR A REFUND FROM MY DELIVERY!!!!!!!! This obviously is not the first time I have had issues with this pharmacy, but when it's the only 24 hour location in the area, you're kinda stuck with it. There's always long lines, never enough help, employees are ignorant and rather rude, all acting like it's not my problem. Little advice, if the pharmacy is so backed up, STOP GIVING FLU SHOTS UNTIL YOU'RE CAUGHT UP!!!!! ANSWER THE DAMN PHONE!!!! The vitamin D deficient old lady who works nights ROCKS, she is the best CVS worker in my 20 year history of all CVS experiences of more than18 CVS stores visited. Note to Management : Give this lady a raise, she should be the official CVS trainer and stop hiring and/or change where employees smoke. Noone wants to walk through a haze of smoke when going into the store especially by two teenage CVS employee's. Have them smoke out back and pick up their butts. You can stop selling ciggs, but if you continue to hire butt-heads with no common sense it's pointless. The Vitamin D deficient lady holds this place up easily ten stars, The two chucky teenagers you hire who sit outside smoking together are negative 5 stars. I called in a prescription on July 19. I showed up on July 20 and the lady said it wasn't ready she said it would take about an hour. I went back an hour and 45 minutes later and it still wasn't ready she said 15 more minutes. after I waited for approximately 20 more Minutes she said there was a problem with my insurance card. I gave them my card and they couldn't figure it out. A guy said i have to call my insurance company and ask them. When i got home I realized that he didn't give me my insurance card back. I went back to the store again and those idiots could not find my card and couldn't care less. I told them im not leaving without my card go find it and call your manager. This location is an exceptionally poor pharmacy. They LOSE prescriptions. The staff is RUDE. They don't meet commitments on PICK UP TIMES. I live in Norwell Ma. I literally can throw a baseball to the CVS on Washington Street Norwell. I do not go there I will not go there ever again in my life. The CVS at Route 18 and 53 is far superior. I go usually during the midnight hour to avoid lines as I am an early riser. The pharmacist on duty I do not know his name but he is always there on midnights is the consummate professional. He is pleasant respectful & courteous, most of all non-judge mental. He is extremely efficient fast and straight to the point. As you may feel I do not like the Norwell CVS because they are never on time they never have the right medication they say they order things and when you go to get it it's not there they never answer the phone they always put you on hold they look like the gang that can't shoot straight. I would recommend CVS Route 18 route 53 to anybody who needs their medications.Again, you cannot beat the pharmacist that's there at midnight the only thing he lacks is a cape and a big "S" on his chest! read more

DON'T use the PHOTO place here. It took 2 days for 2 4X6 photos to be processed via online. When I went to pick them up, no one was behind the photo counter and the regular cashier had a long line, so she wouldn't even look my way. I left and went in a couple of days later. The girl behind the counter wasn't listening to what I was saying and she looked through a few things and said my order wasn't there and I should come back tomorrow. I had to bring up my email confirmation and have the manager look for it. He found it and gave it to me with a look like I was the one who was hiding it and being difficult. ? I have been going to this location since it opened. In the last three years, every time I go back I say it will be the last time. I have been waiting for an online photo order for three days. Driven there twice, the first time I went the sales associate said it wasn't there, wasn't on their computer even though I had a confirmation with me on my phone. She said go home submit it again, with no other help. I resubmitted and returned today. Another associate tells me that the online order should have never been accepted because their photo center has been down for two weeks and I should resubmit it somewhere else. So three days later still waiting n my order, let's see if local #2 does any better. read more
