ATTN!! HOLLY the pharmacist in CVS TODAY is Awful!! Demeaning, placing shame and blame. Not a way any customer should be spoken to. Our family has worked with CVS for the better part of 15 years. We have have had the opportunity to get to know Kristen and Sandra as well as the male pharmacist (I am forgetting his name) intimately. Each of them warm hearted, empathetic, patient and understanding. HOLLY, on the other hand - aggressive when speaking, interrupts, says she will hang up. While I was extremely frustrated closer to the end of the conversation, it was warranted as I listened to her explanation of the process, I had CLEARLY ASKED if she could then listen to my question and concerns without being interrupted. She continued to interrupt me. Then spoke assertively which then spun me into raising my voice. She threatened to hang up on me. In fact put me on speakerphone, using her associate's names against me. Horrible. I am left with disappointment and disgust. Horrible bedside manner. ***IF we did not need to change pharmacies due to insurance reasons, I can ASSURE CVS that I would be moving pharmacies regrettable IMMEDIATELY. The absolute worst service! The line always long no matter what time of day! And the staff is so rude like we are bothering them. By far the worst pharmacy I have ever experienced. This CVS uses an automatic phone service so you don't get a live person. In order to get one, you have to leave a voicemail and wait for a return call. The only reason we used it was because it was the closest one even though it still takes 15 minutes to get there. Parking is such a disaster - if you are going to have a dumpster take up multiple parking spots. I would think you would make an effort to clear out the snow from the other spots. Also need to enforce the rules on commuter and restaurant parking. In addition, having only one staff member on the floor on register is completely insufficient. I felt so bad for the one Employee last night who had to man the issues with the self check out as well as on register. Eric and his staff kicked ass today and I had a smooth time using my CVS weekly coupons and they all actually printed out and everything was cool! I used the self-service register and that went cool, and I was also acknowledged and advised and rung up multiple times at the regular customer service register very helpfully! P.S. I broke my speed shopping record there and only stayed and shopped for only roughly 45 minutes to an hour today! read more

Literally yelled at my mother who has had cancer two times, he purposely help the medication she needed and lied to my mother saying the prescription was canceled and when we got in touch with the doctor he said it wasn't so the pharmacist retaliated after my mom went back and forth with him over why it took 2 days for her prescription to be filled and then he said it was canceled when it never was and it's a holiday weekend and when the doctor called the pharmacy himself that's when he gave the prescription to her after 3 days!! The pharmacy is impossible to reach by phone. They also don't respond to any voicemails. Terrible customer service, especially at the pharmacy. This place wasn't exactly knocking it out of the park, but the miserable service I received recently was an order of magnitude worse. Between the "order ready for pickup" text and my arrival, the pharmacy was unexpectedly closed and no one able to give any indication on how to get my script. They can't even be bothered to answer the phone! And in this case, it was post-operative pain meds and my first home dose was due - I was literally suffering at the hands of their incompetence. Again, after a few months of finally getting my Glucose Monitoring Sensors ready when needed, they proved that they don't care about their customers and only on money and profits. After getting a new prescription, I went to make sure the they would be ready to be refilled on time, they weren't putting them for refilling until after they needed to be, and was told that they would be ready on the 11th of August. It's now the 15th and they don't have them. I called on the 14th to find out why I had not gotten them yet and was told that they were on order and would be ready by 5:00 pm. today. Well, just about 7:00 pm. and I haven't heard from them. It only proves what I have been saying, that big companies don't care about their customers and only in it for the money and profits. If it was easy for me, I would switch to a Mom & Pop pharmacy where they care about their customers and their health & wellbeing, which CVS doesn't seem to care about. Someone suggested that I use finger sticks, but they do no good in the middle on the night when sleeping, where a sensor will send an alert if levels drop or rise outside of the parameters. If i could i would give a ZERO. Went with a prescription for a pain medication after the surgery. Was told they have to call the doctor and insurance company. They would call me. I asked them to confirm the number. No calls for 5 days. Called CVS today - they never heard from the doctor. Had they told me was needed to be done I would have taken care of this myslef. Instead they are just waiting. My other medication - I asked at the store to put it on automatic 3 months. I received THREE calls whether I want it on automatic. Really? Can they get it together? Who is employed there?? Bottom of the pharmacy class? Never again. Will go back to my local pharmacy even if I have to pay more. What a nuisance. STAY AWAY FROM THAT CVS. read more

While the products here are great, store is clean and neat and employees are lovely, the pharmacy is the absolute worst. Today marks the 2nd time they gave me the wrong strength on a prescription and I took and entire months worth without noticing. The first time, they tried to cover their tracks and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Second time, I'm the idiot that allowed them to do it AGAIN with a different prescription - I never double checked because usually pharmacies don't f up - ever. The pharmacy staff are the worst. I've been to this location about 7 times and every time is a nightmare. The worst possible attitude you could imagine. We had to iron out some details with our childrens prescriptions, and a guy by the name of Jay repeatedly hung up on my wife mid sentence. AGAIN they got something wrong. Not only are the lines ridiculously long and the front staff just weird, they make big mistakes and just say 'oops'. I went in on Saturday for a prescription. Wasn't there. I called it in and was told by the recording that it would have to be OKed by the Dr. It will be ready by Wednesday. Wednesday I am told that the prescription can't be filled as I got 90 days worth 30 days ago. I go home bring back the prescription bottle which couldn't hold 90 pills and the say 'oops'. We thought we gave you 90 pills. They are overworked and undersupervised. They continue to amaze me with their incompetence. read more

Half the time you can't park here. The lot is always full, but the store will be empty. Then I took notice. People park here and go to the restaurants or gym around the corner, or leave their car there for the day when they take the train to work. The signs state CVS parking only and warn that cars will be towed if in violation, but the rule isn't enforced. Basically it's your free parking spaces in Westwood. Friendly employees, but prices are marked up so high. Even if you use the coupons you get after checkout, the prices are still higher than the same stuff at shop rite. It's unfortunate that after reading five years of poor rated posts on the CVS Westwood Facebook as well as the posts on Yelp, that I am able to confirm no improvements whatsoever have been made to the pharmacy or its personnel. The lack of simple communication skills is evident. The pharmacist, speaking from her podium when asked a question, pointing toward some unknown aisle, instead of coming to the service desk to speak one on one to a customer while another employee rudely chimed in, is unacceptable. Absolutely THE WORST pharmacy experience I've ever seen. I've always had positive experiences with the CVS brand in other cities, but something is systematically WRONG with the way that they process things at Westwood CVS. - Prescription electronically called in by pediatrician at 2:45 PM - Waited in line the first time at 4:05 PM (Pharmacist said "they JUST got it", I would be "expedited" and put at the "top of the list". It should take about 15 minutes) - Waited from 4:10 until... 4:45 to be expedited... - while waiting I saw 9 people get processed... Of the 9, only 2 got what they were expecting on the first try. All others either had to wait for theirs to be filled, had issues with doctor or insurance request, couldn't find the prescription, etc,etc, The 6 people behind the counter seem nice and on the surface seem competent, so I don't know what's wrong... It's below your average CVS. It's always short staffed, in need of an upgrade on their isle layout. It's confusing. We walked in to get some candy before our movie and noticed that their front and center isle is all Easter egg chocolates (like two whole isles of that). Regular candy wasn't even in those two isles. We had to go further by the fridges side to find like gummy warms or sour patch. Although that's what my husband wanted, I wanted to find a healthier option and couldn't. All candy is straight sugar loaded. Nothing below 10 grams. Why? Rite aid is a better competitor in that area. Also, it took forever to purchase two things with only us and another lady in line. Their Apple Pay doesn't ever work. That's why I never usually shop here. I don't recommend you do either. read more

My problem is only with the pharmacy. Each time I have dropped of a prescription the lady is so rude if I ask a question, any type of question. The worst was one time she said, "We can't fill this because we are out of this." I asked if she could just make sure because I had surgery and was in pain so it was just so difficult to drive to another place as it had not been easy to get to this one. She yelled, "I know I am right!" I repeated if she could just make sure. (This has happened before and they were not out of the meds....) So, she yells back about the meds and guess what! THEY HAD THEM!! She was wrong again and rude again! This happens with other questions regularly. How is she allowed to work with people who are in potentially in pain or going through other things. Holy mother of god. Where do they find these people? I think CVS has morphed into the McDonald's of the 21st century when it comes to the stereotypical unmotivated, disengaged slacker employee. Turnover is enormous...and it just goes from bad to worse. The store itself is rundown, with worn, stained carpeting, rickety shelves and narrow aisles. The wait at the front to pay can be endless. The line often extends into an aisle, and we all stand there seething while teenage cashiers kibitz loudly about the night before. "Dude you were SO wasted, man!" "Bro YOU were way more wasted, dude!" and on and on. Most can't be bothered to greet you, let alone make eye contact or say Thank You at the end of the transaction. The only thing they say without fail is "Do you have a CVS card?", with their vacant teenage eyes fixated on some unknown point in the distance. Don't get me started on the pharmacy. Check your medicines...I've gotten 3 pills instead of 30, and even received the wrong mg. amount once. When you call in to refill a prescription, they may or may not (usually "may not") call you to tell you they're out of stock, or that your doctor didn't call back with an authorization. You find that out only after waiting on another agonizingly slow line. "No one called you?" they ask cheerfully. Uh...if someone had I wouldn't have made the trip, would I? To be fair, not all teenagers are slackers and not all the cashiers and pharmacists are morons, but CVS Westwood really pushes it. Now I hear they're thinking about relocating to where the Seville Diner is, with a drive-thru window for their awesome pharmacy service. Dude, if that happens I'm getting wasted for sure. read more
