I frequently shop at CVS, and for the past few years, I've also had my prescriptions filled through CVS.
When I moved back to the area in August, I transferred my prescriptions to this CVS pharmacy from Boston with no issues. The pharmacists are nice but usually seem stressed out- I think they are quite busy. There is also a large number of pharmacists who I've seen working here- so if you prefer a pharmacy where there is only one or two pharmacists who know you very well, this might not be the place for you. You can fill your prescriptions over the internet or over the phone, which I highly recommend versus dropping off and waiting for it to be filled... I've seen it take up to 20 minutes to fill a prescription. I've never had issues with my medications- I've always gotten the right things at the right time. I think the main reason I stay at CVS is knowing that no matter what location I go to next- for work, or grad school, or whatever- it will be easy to transfer my prescriptions and my prescription history. (Literally, it takes a few clicks of the button if you do it online). I've never used it, but there is also a drive-up pharmacy window for pick-up that seems quite popular.
The rest of the store is similar to most CVS stores in the area- a little overpriced but diverse and convenient. If you join the CVS program and get your card scanned whenever you purchase things, you will get excellent deals on products, as well as quarterly Extrabucks (money back that you spend at CVS). read more
