love this spot and all the hardworking pharmacists/techs, I hope they all get nice pay raises.

CVS off a main road, the strip mall end, and it's easy to miss if not careful for the entrances. Aisles have some things, but have been in better organized shops. They are more expensive than a Walmart or Target, this is mostly for convenience or the pharmacy. Self-check-out upfront at the kiosks but did see one person moving between behind the counter and stocking shelves, so at least one staffer. Too many printed coupons- the receipts are insane. Either show what you have and print out only the ones they select, or auto-apply to the account, or something more efficient...the receipt was easily longer than my leg. read more

Confusion and bad communication. I pulled up to the drive in window. A new tech handed me a prescription that I no longer use. When I asked her for the prescription that I phoned in she had no record of the order and made the outrageous comment that I may have called the wrong pharmacy. ( I have been a loyal and faithful customer for ten years) I then proceeded inside the pharmacy to get help from the manager. We were going back and forth trying to find that prescription. Finally. after an hour he said :"oh here's a refill right on my computer screen"!!!!! Really? After an hour? . It goes on and on. They are confused and need to work on communication skills. Probably one of the worst cvs I've ever been in. The whole store just reeks of dilapidation. The doors to walk in are not even automatic they're low energy auto doors you HAVE to push the button to move. Then the aisles are cramped and the drink section is NEVER filled with anything to decide between. The pharmacy is constantly busy even though there's 3-4 techs working. If you can, avoid and go further down Hamburg. read more

This place just seems to get worse and worse as time goes on. On multiple occasions they have not had a prescription ready for me when promised. The most recent time is the final straw. My husband's doctor called in prescriptions for him at 3:30 pm on a Tuesday. I arrived at 5 pm to pick them up and was told that no prescriptions were ever called in under his name. I was told that it takes up to an hour for the prescription to be ready after the doctor calls. It being an hour and a half since they were called in, I started calling the other 2 CVS pharmacies on Hamburg Turnpike, in case the office had made a mistake. Neither location had record, so I called Preakness back. After being on hold for 7 minutes the pharmacist picked up and told me they had the prescription but they were really busy and would need 1-2 hours to fill it. I arrived a little over 2 hours after that phone call and waited in line for them to tell me they would need an additional 15 minutes to fill it. How is that in the slightest way acceptable?! My husband is sick and needs the prescription. The complete lack of humanity in this place is unethical and, quite frankly, disgusting. I'll be looking for a new pharmacy and suggest you do too. read more

Tried to call the pharmacy to discuss a prescription that was being worked on. Called and went through the automated call system 4 times and after entering all the information and answering all the questions I was hung up on and told to call back later. Each time I asked to speak to the pharmacist. I finally called and asked to speak to the store front end manager. I spoke to someone who said they would get the manager. I waited on the phone for a few minutes - and then got hung up on. Called back to speak to the manager again and finally spoke to him. He explained that CVS has installed a new phone system that now makes calling and speaking directly to the pharmacist impossible and the front end is not allowed to transfer calls to the pharmacy. The only way to speak to someone is to leave a message and they will call you back. This is still a service industry and CVS now is clear that they want my money but don't want to provide any service. I've had problems with this store in the past but have almost always had great service when I interacted with the pharmacist directly. Now that option is gone unless I physically go to the store. And using the website can't help (I tried) since there is no way to resolve the issue that I had on the site. Going to look to transfer my prescriptions elsewhere. read more

The worst CVS ever. Hospital called in a prescription needed for a procedure but pharmacy did NOT tell them they close for a "break" from 1:30-2. I got there in a panic and they refused to hand me the one pill he needed. I pleaded with them - isn't there some sort of ethical duty of a pharmacist to help? And why on earth does both the pharmacist and cashier take a break at the same time? If they staggered their break, they could service the customers who obviously NEED their medications. Giovanni, the supposed store manager, was no help whatsoever when I explained the situation. He said it was "too bad" and I had to wait until 2 (the actual time of the medical procedure). I will never go back there - not only are they rude but the entire store has been dirty and run down lately. I gave it one star but it deserves zero. read more

Jazmine is always a big help and manages the store flawlessly. Because of that I was under the impression she was the manager. Enter John. A 5'6" disgruntled man with a Napoleon complex who makes even the worst cvs pharmacy line look like a pleasurable experience. If I didn't rely on my medication to keep me alive I wouldn't have stuck it out. I've since moved to the CVS down the street and it puts this place to shame. It's unfortunate because a management switch might set this place back on track. read more

Automated system violates HIPPA as far as I'm concerned when you have to speak out loud for what you need. Change it back because it is no ones business what I want. You cannot always find a private place to make a phone call. read more

I mainly come here because of the convenience (it's right across the street from me) but at the same time I dread coming here because there is usually always a line. First off, this place never has enough employees working the checkout. If you see a long line of customers, common courtesy is to try to call for more backup. Sometimes they will, but not always. I tried going to their pharmacy when i first moved here but after my first experience I decided to try somewhere else. The wait for my prescription was absurd. This isn't the first CVS where I had this issue. Second, the friendliness and common sense of their staff at the pharmacy makes me wonder. I was waiting on a prescription for close to an hour. They kept telling it would be ready soon. Since when is soon an hour? When it was finally ready, it was then they decided to tell me that this could interfere with another prescription I was on. It would of been nice to tell me this before you filled it and made wait so long!!! I told them I will skip the script then and call my doctor next day. I had wasted my time waiting. A week later, I get a call from the pharmacy saying my prescription is ready for pickup. This was the same prescription I had told them I was not going to take. read more

There are better CVS locations out there. This facility is older and not as well kept as it's sister sites. Moreover, their staff is not that attentive to customers needs. I like CVS, and frequent this chain often. Unfortunately, this site is an exception to the norm of good quality CVSs. read more

This is a very busy pharmacy but that doesn't excuse how they treat customers. They frequently cannot locate my insurance in their system. I had to provide them the insurance for the third time this year [to be fair, it is the third month of the new year] and despite filling a prescription three weeks earlier. They incorrectly told me my coverage was cancelled, which was resolved by calling Caremark and their calling the pharmacy [they were hung up upon after a long wait]. They automatically generated a generic drug [because of a doctor not specifying "no generic substitute"] and tried to tell me that was what the doctor ordered [despite their having filled the name drug for years]. The generic medication had a 6% success rating online! Oh, and they promised I would get a call when the prescription was filled. That didn't happen either. Just a couple years ago I would have rated them around a 4. So sorry they have slipped so far because they are conveniently located. read more

I DON'T WORK THERE! I went on line today and found no one behind the counter and every register listed as self checkout. I asked an associate to be checked out. I received a very poor attitude and she was talking under her breath in a derogatory manner. I asked if she realized they were putting her and her fellow associates out of work. She said, "I have a job." She did the bare minimum and handed me a bag, not being willing to even bag my items. I asked to speak to a manager. A very unprofessionally dressed woman with messy hair took several minutes to appear and asked the associate what the problem was. I told her I didn't work there and didn't appreciate being on the receiving end of a bad attitude when I asked to be checked out. She did not reply. I'll be traveling the extra couple of blocks to Walgreens from now on, where they still have pleasant associates at the register who are willing to help customers. read more

This is a review of the photo services at this location. I needed to get a passport-sized photo taken. The photo that was printed is so blurry, you'd think that I was whipping my head around or something while it was taken. Thankfully I don't need it for a passport or official ID, but it came out completely unprofessionally. $11 wasted, don't go here-- the other CVS in Wayne's photo department has their act together. read more

We have used the same pharmacy for twenty five years . The staff have been very helpful. For last several years, as soon as I step in the store the volume of music rises to a crescendo. I have been unable to find any explanation of this weird and sometimes quite irritating behavior. If this is a procedure to identify me, it is unnecessary . I have a CVS card which is mandatory for every purchase in this store. They have all our prescription history. read more

My mother had a prescription "transferred" from our nearby CVS to this one because they allegedly had the medication our location was out of. After driving around for about an hour because the first technician gave the vaguest of directions and the wrong address, we finally found the location. There was already a fifteen minute wait and from the looks of the waiting customers, they must have been there awhile. We went up to the tech at the till and gave the information. We were in the system, but the script hadn't been transferred over. We told her that the guy who handled it said it was, and that it would be ready when we got there. She said there was no call from that CVS branch at all, but they could give them a call to have them transfer it over. We waited for fifteen minutes and during that time the girl was on the phone talking to the other pharmacy. She said the info got unlocked or transferred over, and that they would fill it shortly. We waited another fifteen minutes. By this time, there were only two people waiting, and they were given their medications within five minutes. Another fifteen minutes goes by. "We're still filling it," said the tech. We reached the hour mark. She called us up to the till and said that they were sorry, but they didn't have the medication in stock. "But the guy at our branch said you had it in stock, that he checked!" "We haven't had in it in stock for a few days." It shouldn't take an hour to tell someone that their medication isn't in stock, especially when it says this information on the computer and they asked her what she was getting filled. The girl got all huffy with us and my mother and I left the store. She's dealt with CVS for at least twenty years, and suffice to say, she's taken her business elsewhere, because she's not going to be given the runaround and be treated like she's an inconvenience nor is she going to deal with a business where the employees can't be bothered to do their JOB. Not once did my mother raise her voice or ask for progress on how it was going, etc. She moved all of her prescriptions to Walmart Pharmacy and she is very, very happy with the service there. They lost a customer whose been with them for two decades AND they lost an additional customer because I am not going to deal with that sort of thing if I need something filled. There are no shortage of pharmacies in the area. If you want to keep your customers, you need to treat them the way they should be treated. Namely, all you have to do is do your job and do what you're supposed to do. Don't offer to do something for a customer, act like it's an inconvenience, and then not do it. That's poor customer service. read more
