My family has been coming to Neptune Market for years, so this was a disappointing visit. We…read morestopped in for a quick breakfast, but what should have been a simple order ended up taking nearly an hour. All I ordered was a pork roll, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser roll with a hash brown patty. I understand they were very busy, but the wait still felt excessive for such a basic breakfast sandwich. I was also surprised to find out that after 11:00 a.m. they stop serving pancakes and omelets, even though breakfast sandwiches are still available. It would have been nice if the full breakfast menu was offered a little longer. The biggest issue for me, however, was food handling. I watched employees place dirty register receipts directly on top of prepared sandwiches, including an egg and cheese that sat with the receipt on it for several minutes. Thermal receipts aren't something I want touching my food, and it completely turned me off. I also noticed several employees with long hair and facial hair working without hairnets or beard nets, which didn't inspire confidence in the kitchen's sanitation practices. Neptune Market has always been a family favorite because the food is tasty and reasonably priced, so it's disappointing to leave this review. I hope they can improve their food handling practices and kitchen hygiene because I'd love to see them get back to the standards that kept us coming back for so many years.

I went into the store this morning (approx 11am on 7/26/2020), and had the worst experience I've…read moreever had in a 7-11. The woman working the counter has no business working in retail. It was clear to me that she was flustered by the long line, and could not handle it. She delt with this by being abusive to customers with her terrible attitude. Typically in retail, when the line gets long, you ask a coworker to open another register. This woman did no such thing. Instead she was talking down to her co-worker. Each customer on the line had to take some form of abuse from this employee. When it was my turn, I just wanted to get out of the store. Then she had no change. Rather than ask me to wait for a second, she refused to give me my change. Unhappy with the service, I asked for a refund, she refused, and began to go after me with her terrible attitude. I reluctantly left with my items, furious. I will not be going back to this location again if this is the kind of behavior the proprietor finds acceptable from his employees.

It was very last minute, and after one store in the area was somewhat rude and another never answered their phone ... decided to look up reviews and happened upon this outstanding establishment! Third times a charm: when we called, the gentleman who answered was gracious and said that he would get us to a manager or owner within five minutes. Sure enough: within five minutes we got a callback from the owner! We explained that we needed to get a fine champagne delivered as soon as possible to someone in their area, and would like to ask that the gift card please be printed and the champagne gift wrapped. The owner said no problem to both requests. He patiently went through all of their fine champagnes, and we were able to pick one that was both within our budget but also very upscale. He also graciously worked with us on the delivery. Everything happened so swiftly and seamlessly, and we were assured not just of immediate delivery, but also a 2nd delivery in case nobody was around to except the gift middle of the day. Just blown away by the attentiveness, kindness, and outstanding service. Whatever your liquor needs - whether it's just a nice case of upscale brewskie... a high end gift ... or anywhere in between... MUST CALL!
