I'm shocked to see such negative comments. It's at a least as good as any other cvs, and larger than the one closer to my home.

The staff are alway kind and willing to talk to you about your medication. They also have an amazing selection of educational toys I have to admit this is where I've shopped for my nice and nephews and they have never been disappointed!!

Friendly staff and pharmacists, sure, but the intangibles of an old school pharmacy are all here: decent candy selection at the cash register area, newspaper rack with local and out of town papers, and a load of non health related merchandise. Need to buy envelopes, shaving cream, pencils, notebooks, and an alarm clock? This is your place. Need to fill a prescription and have a real human being with a personality discuss it with you? Step right this way. They still have little magnetic calendars for your kitchen with their info on it (free of course). Surprisingly it has the correct date when you would not be surprised if it read "1963." Honest to goodness, go into this place and look around, it will blow you away. I'm afraid and hopeful at the same time that I'll walk out and the parking lot will be filled with giant 60s American cars, and I will be back in the Kennedy era. Hasn't happened yet, but we'll see. A bit pricier than big box and chain stores? Indeed. But you get what you pay for. And this is so worth the price.

Arena District

This seems like an odd spot for a pharmacy, but they were bustling. I guess if you are staying…read moredowntown or work there it is handy. And maybe they get traffic from the arena itself? Plus I saw a big sign for CBD. I was there for meds for eye surgery; not sure why the docs only use this pharmacy. But, I was able to get down there during a weekday, and get in and out quickly. Parking is at the valet area, but if you are just picking up scrips you can leave your car there for a bit for free (pull to the left, let the valet know what you're doing.) It's a little place, in a big building. A small retail area, basic meds and a few snacks. And a big prescription area. The pharmacists were friendly and knowledgeable. I talked to a couple on the phone, and one of them in person. Got the details, got my meds, and was out the door in less than 10 minutes. I don't know that I'd go back here unless I was nearby, but it was a good experience. Not very convenient if you're in the burbs, but easy to get in and out, and maybe handy if you're already down here.

I called and spoke to Jon when my husband was awaiting discharge from OSU hospital in need of a speciality medication. Jon was so nice and I could tell he cares about people by the tone of his voice and his willingness to help! It's refreshing!! He obtained the medicine which was very instrumental in my husband's discharge home and also went out of his way to help meet up with us to deliver it even!! Jon's kindness does not go unnoticed. I sincerely appreciate the excellent kind ,caring , knowledgeable service that Pharmacist Jon has provided then and every contact since ( monthly) assisting in my husband's care. A big shout out and THANK YOU goes to Jon at the Arena District Pharmacy! Highly recommend this pharmacy !! Sincerely, Lynn Atwood

I find that Walgreens is SDM, but on an entirely kicked-up level. I tend to hit Walgreens to get candy and chocolate to bring home with me. It's perfect to share with colleagues and friends. I got white chocolate Reese's peanut butter cups. There was a sale happening where you can get two bags for $3. I got four bags. Two were these cups. The other two were assorted Hershey's chocolates. Let's just say that my team at work inhaled both bags that I had brought in (the cups and the assorted chocolates). They were that yummy. I loved the section of books that featured the history of Columbus. I stood there reading one of them. Perhaps I should have bought it. It was a good read. Ever since my trip to Charlotte and visiting a Walgreens there, I have a thing for Squishmallows. I saw the cutest festive penguin one that you can hook to your purse and got it. It was only $3. I got to the register to pay. I got a nice guy helping me with my purchases. I got my Walgreens rewards card scanned, paid with a credit card, and walked out happy with my purchases. This Walgreens has everything. I marvelled at the decent beer varieties. There's Shiner Bock, which I first consumed in Dallas roughly a decade ago. I also loved the Atari gaming console. I already have it and the original, but it made me happy seeing it. (411)
