While gathering my information, the pharmacist did an excellent job making small talk and making me feel comfortable. The unfortunate thing about this location is that there is no privacy curtain/ private area where you receive your vaccinations. While, I personally don't mind receiving my vaccination out in the open space, I almost feel like I'm violating someone else's privacy as I am waiting my turn. Other than that, if you need a COVID-19 or flu vaccination, be sure to schedule an appointment ahead of time as there are no walk-ins.

Step right this way. They still have little magnetic calendars for your kitchen with their info on it (free of course). Surprisingly it has the correct date when you would not be surprised if it read "1963." Honest to goodness, go into this place and look around, it will blow you away. I'm afraid and hopeful at the same time that I'll walk out and the parking lot will be filled with giant 60s American cars, and I will be back in the Kennedy era. Hasn't happened yet, but we'll see. First, I arrived to pick up my medications after receiving text notifications that they were ready, only to discover that the pharmacy closes from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for lunch. There was no mention of this in the notification. While I understand staff need a lunch break, clearer communication would help prevent unnecessary trips and frustration. Second, one medication that cost $10 last month was quoted at $40 today, despite no changes to my Ohio State insurance coverage. When I pointed out the discrepancy and provided my insurance card, I was repeatedly asked for additional information, including my VIN and other insurance details that I have never needed in over 20 years with the same employer. Neither my husband nor I have previously required a separate prescription card to fill medications. Unfortunately, the employee assisting me was unfriendly throughout the interaction and did not appear interested in resolving the issue. When I was unable to provide information that was not available through my Express Scripts account, I was asked whether I wanted to pay out of pocket instead. When I declined, I was asked if I wanted to speak with the pharmacist. By that point, I was frustrated enough that I chose not to pursue the matter further. Instead, I went home and arranged to transfer my prescriptions to another CVS location. I would encourage additional customer service training for front-line pharmacy staff. While insurance issues can certainly occur, patients should feel that staff are making an effort to help resolve problems and communicate with empathy and professionalism.

I talked to a couple on the phone, and one of them in person. Got the details, got my meds, and was out the door in less than 10 minutes. I don't know that I'd go back here unless I was nearby, but it was a good experience. Not very convenient if you're in the burbs, but easy to get in and out, and maybe handy if you're already down here.

The most annoying thing is when you call, you always get a robot at first. When you ask to speak to a human, sometimes it lets you and other times, it seemingly ignores you. It can take a few tries to get right. Sometimes they randomly cancel your order and won't tell you why, and it can be hard to transfer from CVS to CVS. I have come to dread ordering from here. Inside the store is pretty clean and well-organized. Some of the employees are pretty nice, and others ignore you. Really just depends on the day I guess.
