This has always been a very unhelpful and unpleasant place to shop. I was trying to print 6 sets of almost 50 photographs and the only person that would quasi help me to place the order through their machines and website. The pharmacists and the managers are incompetent and rude; never picks up the phone; give a run around to the customers; no moral responsibility to expedite and fill critical medications and offer cheaper or generic options more interested in promoting high end expensive brand name drugs. read more

This is not the ideal pharmacy; long lines, don't answer phones, and the store itself is tired. It's a busy store. My sense is that the pharmacists are quite overworked and are doing the best they can. I've received all my covid shots here and they have been cordial. read more

I recently called the pharmacy just to check if they had my medication in stock. The person that answered the phone sounded like someone who just woke up, said minimal words to me beyond "ya" and "no" and overall was just extremely unhelpful. At one point I thought maybe he couldn't hear what I was asking, since his level of responsiveness was so minimal. He also sounded like he just didn't want to do his job and was bothered that I was even calling. CVS, please do better when it comes to hiring people to work at the pharmacy. This particular CVS needs a renovation and pharmacy staff that knows how to enter insurance information accurately.

My renewal prescription was being processed on Thursday Oct. 19 but not ready for pick-up till 24 hours later (Friday, Oct, 20) at CVS Thornwood (Broadway location). I called several times and was on hold for 50 min twice, 30 min and 25 min without anyone in the pharmacy department ever answering the phone. I called and spoke to the front end manager who told me that Oct. 20 was vaccine day and they had 120 vaccines to do meaning prescriptions were put on hold. I assume CVS makes much more $ from vaccines than from prescriptions and so they come first before dispensing medications people need for their health. This policy stinks. I will be looking into getting my prescriptions filled elsewhere. read more

This store sucks, after Valentine's Day the candy goes on sale first it's 50% off then 75% and finally 90%. I went in there today March 23rd and went to purchase valentine candy and they told me it went back to regular price- so they're selling old candy that already went on sale 3 times. The manager's response was sorry that's what they told me to do. The cvs in Rosehill had their candy for 90% off so I went there instead. read more

Horrible experience at CVS pharmacy in Thornwood. I had a disagreement with the filling of a prescription that was discontinued by my physician. The pharmacist's manner of addressing my disagreement was to call me names and raise his voice at me. This occurred on Thanksgiving morning and based on the pharmacist's statements, it was clear that he was upset at working on a holiday. I will be pursuing this with customer relations as if feel that this was unacceptable. read more

My Son fell in school today and cut his eye. He went to the Doctor who prescribed a cream for it to heal. It was to be applied for the next five days. The prescription was sent to the CVS in Thornwood Ny on Broadway. I waited on line and then was told the prescription wasn't ready and would be ready in ten minutes. After ten minutes they told me it was out of stock. They mentioned that they wouldn't be able to get it for a few days because it was the weekend. They checked a few other stores in the area and they didn't have it either. The Tech behind the counter was not interested in helping he was more interested in joking and laughing with his colleagues behind the counter. Very unprofessional group cursing out load behind the counter. Very poor customer service, no empathy and no solutions. Its a pity to have such a poor group working in a Pharmacy that is supposed to help people. If picking no stars was an option, that is what your lack of team deserves. Pat Brennan read more

If I could rate this cvs zero I would. The Asian pharmacist I that worked in 06/03/19 at 11:25 I didn't get his name was beyond rude. Before I paid for my child's antibiotics I tried to asked the cashier how long was it good for without opening and he rushed me to pay before the medicine was dispensed then I asked him again how long would it be good for without opening he said the pharmacist would explain. Well when the pharmacist came over he basically threw the bag at me and told me it was food for 10-14 days when I wanted to ask more questions he walked off. I come from a family of pharmacists so I know not every pharmacist is rude but this man was beyond rude I'm never coming back. read more

Unreliable and totally unapologetically rude pharmacy. Really just poor customer experience for what you expect in the modern era.

This CVS pharmacy is just terrible! No body know anything, and nobody wants to help you every since the main Pharmacist (from Brazil, who was very, very nice) left. Particularly irritating is Mr. Han, who refused to answer question, cause considerable confusion, not by want he is doing, but by want he refused to do. Spend several hour getting him the prescription that was need, and he never told be it was on back-order until he tried to fill it. This was only one example. CVS what are you hiring??? The pharmacists are rude and often lie if they have to do something extra like call for a refill. They have made more than one error in filling medications and are absolutely incompetent in keeping frequently prescribed brands on the shelf. Told me they didn't have delivery even though the clerk was standing under the sign that said "try our delivery service!" I don't know how this staff is still employed read more

Pretty good for a CVS. The staff is nice and if they are out of something they can order it and it usually comes in a day or so.
