I arrived at this CVS pharmacy at 1:29 PM, one minute before their 1:30 lunch break, to pick up a…read moreprescription I urgently needed for severe pain. There was no one else in line. I politely asked if they could please take me before closing and explained that I was in pain. Instead of showing any compassion, the staff ignored me, refused to make eye contact, and completely dismissed me. I understand that employees need and deserve lunch breaks, but this is supposed to be a healthcare setting, and a little kindness goes a long way. It would have taken less than a minute to hand me my prescription and let me leave. Compassion and professionalism should never depend on the clock. What makes this worse is that I know another CVS location has helped someone I know when they made a scene right before lunch. That proves flexibility exists when they choose to use it. I shouldn't have to raise my voice or make a scene to be treated with basic respect and humanity.

Had two prescriptions sent over. One was filled and another needed approval. Approval was given and…read morewaited a couple days for script to be filled. No word, so I went down to get the filled prescription and inquire on the delay for the other. Apparently they had "no record" of the second script even though they told me previously it needed approval. Script sent to Costco and filled same day. I've had issues with the lines, prescription times, out of inventory and just a totally overworked pharmacy staff. Going to Costco moving forward...

With so many different pharmacy choices around NYC, why would you pick Best RX? Here's my story…read more dun-dun... There is a global manufacturer backlog/backorder on several medications. CVS, Walgreens, ShopRite, no one can get this. Not even a local compound pharmacy can create the concoction so what do you do? Look online? (nope!), ask your doctor for a substitute? (nope!) Go to Best RX. To my surprise, Best RX was able to get it. Now it makes sense why the pharm is called BEST.

You can improve by replacing all of the workers, techs & pharmacists. The staff is beyond rude,…read moreunprofessional especially for pharmacists, who are health care professionals like myself. At first I thought it was just the techs, but they are picking up that awful behavior from actual pharmacists. Not only do they not know how to be respectful to their customers/ patients, but there is a huge language barrier. The entire staff does not understand English well or how to communicate, and then they become frustrated with you as if it's your fault and give you extreme attitude. I am already very sick and dealing with enough. I don't need the pharmacist to abruptly pull the phone out of the techs hand because he could not pronounce or tell me what medicine I received a text about and then have her assume I'm talking about a completely different medication with such nastiness and aggression. I only have 2 meds that I get at this particular pharmacy and my doctor made an error twice now, and sent my injections to them instead of CVS. I asked the pharmacist, who did not introduce herself as the pharmacist or her name,(they never do) to please cancel my injections because they must go to cvs for insurance purposes. She was so loud, and aggressive. She began yelling over me when I did not raise my voice and then went on to threaten me ( this was the 2nd time), that if I'm going to get my meds from cvs that I can get the rest of my meds from CVS too, and she will cancel out all my prescriptions and "CVS can deal with getting prior authorizations and filling your meds". I told her that was not what I was asking. I simply need them to cancel the injections and I'll have my doctor send it to CVS. She threatened me again, and said she was " too busy for this bullshit" and slammed the phone down and hung up on me. I called back and was extremely upset and asked to speak to a pharmacist, it was her, and she said I am the pharmacist you just spoke to. I was in shock. How could a health care professional speak to sick patients just trying to get their medicine like this. I told her that I am a PA for many years and would never dare speak to a patient in this manner. Her response was "I don't give a shit that you're a PA, that means nothing to me". Click!
