I've purchased scratch-off and traditional lottery tickets here roughly 20 times. On five separate occasions, I won small prizes ranging from $2 to $10. Every single time I attempted to cash in a winning scratch-off ticket, I was told they "don't have any money" and could not pay out the prize. Instead, I was told I could only use the winnings to buy more scratch-off tickets. Refusing to pay out cash winnings--even small amounts like $2 to $10--is not acceptable and defeats the purpose of playing the lottery. As an authorized lottery dealer, they are expected to pay out valid prizes. Being repeatedly denied cash and pushed into buying more tickets feels unprofessional and misleading. If you sell lottery tickets, you should be prepared to honor the winnings properly. Until this issue is addressed, I won't be purchasing lottery tickets here again and would caution others to be aware of this practice.

The color scheme, the decor, the terra cotta orange colored tiles, the scents from the kitchen...... The service was exceptionally quick as we were among only 3-4 tables in the mid-afternoon. The food was brought to the table with a quickness not seen in many food restaurants! It was also delivered mistake free! Most definitely unusual in the food industry. The portions were too big for me... but for the men in our party nearly cleaned their plates! I had a taco salad and the only complaint I have is that the meat wasn't drained well enough.... Making the shell soggy. I feel that's a common Mexican restaurant occurrence, tho. In the end.... I'd still recommend La Palma. I know there isn't a lot to choose from in Urbana, so check it out.... At least it's not fast food!
