I have a rule, I don't use a business' facility without buying something. As I was parking my bike, a young man came out to meet me. He said if I wished, he would bring out what ever I wanted, and I told him I had a two part reason to come in, one was to buy some beer and the other was to use the bathroom. Frankly, I was shocked and pleased. The last time I was there, several years ago, this was clearly a different ownership, and previous owners did not care about sweeping, mopping or keeping the shelves in an orderly fashion. These new owners have a pleasant staff, and they keep stuff really spiffy. If you get a chance, go see for yourself.

I picked up a prescription for my baby daughter, and the bottle wasn't sealed properly--medicine ended up spilling all over my bag. I didn't even notice until I got home and smelled something weird. What was supposed to be 14ml ended up being just 5ml. Tried calling the pharmacy a few times before finally getting through. When I explained what happened, they didn't apologize or seem to care at all. They just told me to come back and pick up more. Luckily my husband was able to go because I had both kids with me. Honestly, this kind of mistake is really careless, especially when it involves a baby's medication. Not sure why urgent care sent the prescription here. For a place that's open 24/7, it's really not run well. Wish I had read the reviews first--seems like this kind of thing happens a lot. Definitely wouldn't recommend this pharmacy. It's not worth the hassle, especially when it's almost a half-hour drive from home

Thankfully, the woman at the gas station across the street allowed me use of her phone. While waiting for the tow trunk, he then proceeded to harass me three times telling me that I wasn't allowed to 'park' in the (empty) parking lot if I wasn't going to purchase anything. Admittedly, I was a little disappointed when I walked in and it was more like a convenience store: a small selection of food and household products on the shelves on the left, a counter with a coffee menu and few food items on the right, a few tables down the center. The decor is rather spartan, though the owner tries her best to add personal touches here and there to make it more welcoming. Ah well, I figured I would get a coffee. There's also a hot menu for soup, wings, sandwiches and stuff. I ordered an arepa along with a cortadito. They were quite tasty, and more than satisfied my hunger. The service was nice, even if there was some language barrier. Food took a little time to prep as it's made to order, which gave me time to explore their shelves. There are products from different S. American countries, including some snacks and stuff i'm curious to try another day. Then I get to their freezer case and saw that they have some artisanal Peruvian gelato, with flavors like pisco sour, chicha morada, lucuma and more. What a find! Glad to have this little convenience store in the neighborhood, offering stuff that may not be available nearby. There is lots of room for growth and I hope they will be successful.
