‍ Post-Golf Brunch at Country Club Diner - Le Parc Café…read more 2420 NW 7th St, Miami, FL 33125 After a refreshing morning walk around the Granada Golf Course, our CRE team ducked into Le Parc Café, a hidden gem just outside Coral Gables that turned out to be the perfect Friday brunch meeting spot. We grabbed a table inside across from the counter -- the space was cool, cozy, and flooded with natural light, a nice contrast to the Miami heat outside. Great energy for casual strategy talk. Order Highlight: I went for the 4-egg omelet loaded with crispy bacon and cheddar cheese, served with a warm buttery croissant on the side. (See pic ). It was comfort food done right -- fluffy eggs, sharp cheddar melt, and real-deal bacon, not that paper-thin stuff. Service was friendly and quick. Coffee refills came without asking. Staff were chill but attentive, which made it easy to talk business without interruptions. Overall, this spot strikes the perfect balance for a laid-back, productive CRE catch-up -- no loud crowds, no fuss, just solid food and clean ambiance. Bonus points for easy parking and a menu that works whether you're here for a breakfast deal huddle or a solo laptop session. Already planning to make this a recurring Friday tradition.

The short version: This is one of those places where you are…read moreentirely dependent on the mood of the servers. I've had perfect visits (considering that it IS a Pinecrest bakery) and really awful "I will leave without ordering" visits. The Experience Well... like every other Pinecrest Bakery, generally speaking, the food is a safe bet if you know what you like. If you go for the pre-made options, sometimes it's been in the warmer a while, but it can still be called fresh; and if your order is to be made in the spot, pretty much always is good. But different people on the staff makes your experience a rollercoaster, if you go often and in different shifts. I've been received by a slight sort-of-acknowledgment look by someone who barely rises their head and leaves you hanging (saying nothing) for a few minutes until finally (ignoring me) call someone else "to come to the front because there's people here"; and I've had the loveliest servers treat me like a king and looking happy to serve me... in the same week. On the other hand, I lover their churrasco sandwich, there's nothing quicker to bite than an empanada if you're in a hurry, and, if you get one of the nice servers, take the time to have a sandwich cubano made. Just... be prepared because you never know beforehand if you're going to enjoy your food and service, or you're going to leave hangry after a few minutes of being ignored.

Strange experience at this place I walked in to purchase a few empanadas which they were plenty on…read morethe shelf and instead of just giving me some from the shop, it looks like they were making them in the back. I have no idea what they were doing, but I was waiting there over 15 minutes for what I thought was gonna be a 90 second transaction. Meanwhile, I saw other people purchasing the same item I wanted and they took theirs right from the shelf so I don't understand what's going on.

Located inside Fairchild Botanical Garden, the Glasshouse Cafe is excellent. In most places like…read morethis, one wouldn't expect much better than snack bar food. However, the choices and quality of the food is a pleasant surprise. While not a traditional Cuban sandwich, the flavor of the pork is some of the best I've had. Also tried the chicken club wrap and it was fresh, light, and healthy. Besides the food, the backside of the interior seating has floor to ceiling windows of the butterfly enclosure. It is really nice to get off your feet, enjoy a delicious bite, and still enjoy the butterflies fluttering about.

To get your food at the Glasshouse you check out the menu and order at the outside window. They give you one of those plastic squares that vibrate when your food is ready and then pick up your order at the inside window. You can then eat inside or out. It was blazing hot out and the line was long but the staff handled it well and kept the line moving forward. They have a nice variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, drinks, and desserts. Prices are a reasonable $8 to $14 for a sandwich. They even had a board with some specials for museum day. I prefer to eat inside because I love their dining room not to mention the air conditioning. The whole back glass wall of the dining area looks onto the Wings of the Tropics butterfly garden and it's beautiful. While we were eating we got to watch numerous butterflies and we even saw the hummingbird flit around the flowers. The ceiling has a gorgeous Chihuly glass sculpture hanging from it. For lunch we shared the croque-monsieur and the La Basque's club sandwich with grilled chicken and bacon. Both were delicious. For dessert we had one of the large chocolate chip cookies that had three kinds of chocolate in it. All of that plus two sodas came to $28. I love eating at the Glasshouse when I come to visit the gardens. The food is of a higher quality than most attractions and the view is one of my favorites.
