My mom went to CVS to buy a couple of items. The cashier at the front refused to help my mom unless she used the self check out. She said she would help my mom use the machine and she was having trouble inputting her coupons. Then when it came time to pay she realized my mom was paying cash and was annoyed that she wouldn't use a card because it meant she HAD to help her at the cash register (she never asked how she was paying ahead of time). She then takes my mom to the register and refused to give her a receipt because she said it was gonna be emailed. My mother is in her 70s and felt extremely frustrated and told her forget it, she didn't wanna buy anything so she finally agreed to give my mom a physical receipt. The cashier told my mom that the cash registers are for when people want to buy liquor. So they are discriminating against anyone who doesn't drink and refusing to give equal service. My mom says she has to pretend to buy liquor to use a cashier, and then say never mind, I don't want the liquor just so I can be helped by a cashier. It was a very frustrating experience, it's super disrespectful of elders. She wasted my mom's time, and she doesn't wanna go there any more. We live in a small town and there are very few options of stores, and I hate to think that this is going to be my mom's experience every time she needs to buy a simple item. read more

doesnt even desserve a 1 star desserves something worse. old white cashier women with blonde hair and pair of glasses she wears either on or above her head on hair was very unprofessional had ordered pictures and went in for pick up with my boyfriend and once he asked about the pictures she dismissed him he never got out of line just stated we were here for pick up on the pictures and she was very disrespectful and never even asked for the pickup name for the photos as we wanted this to be a special day as we were gonna ask my sister in laws about being god parents for our daughters as to why we needed the pictures she just turned our morning into a stressfull day as we left the store because she dismissed him and never checked if they were ready even though we knew they were ready because the order for pictures had been placed a whole day before so once we left the store we waited in the parking lot for almost a whole hr to go back in hoping she would hand us them i spoke to the lady as i saw she was rude to my boyfriend and instantly her whole mood was different she spoke so nicely to me to the point it felt fake as she handed the pictures to us she let me know they had been ready for awhile already and once we paid my boyfriend confronted her about the situation and tried to act like she didn't know and that it wasn't her and as if she wasn't disrespectful to him and rude and disrespectful to me because my boyfriend was respectful to her the whole time just called her out when he noticed the difference in treatment and failure to do her right. bad customer service. This is a pretty OK CVS, except today was a new thing with the homeless man laying down outside the front door mumbling. Kinda scary. Kinda new. Never experienced that here before. A staff should have called someone. The young girl behind the register was chatty and polite. Nice change. One of the main reasons I continue to shop CVS is their coupons, and I had a few today for $5 off. Thank you! I bought a Farmers Almanac, I've always wanted one! My Nurse Practitioner wrote me a prescription for a brand medication that is not covered by my insurance. I called this pharmacy to find out if they have the medication and the cost. They ordered it and quoted me the price. I called back to find out if they had received it and again asked them to verify the price. I then went to the pharmacy to pick up my new prescription and they charged me the quoted price for my new medication (over $200). I got home and opened the box and found out they had given me a lesser dose than prescribed. I called and they told me they couldn't refund me the amount as I had opened the box. They also refused to give me the additional doses unless I paid an additional $300. I explained this is why I had verified multiple times. The supervisor did not call me back and when I called their corporate office they also never called me back. I do not trust that we will get the correct prescriptions and I do not trust that they will charge us correctly. read more

I really hate to give a bad help, but this is why . Dr wrote Rx for 2 times per day ( this will require a prior Auth that the doctor office does not CVS) so all they have to do is fax the office and wait a day or 2. This medication long term and dose figured out by labs. Pharmacy filled ONLY HALF THE RX . After my husband picked it up he read note. ( insurance will only pay for " once per day" ) . I called " Did you try to get a prior auth? My husband has taken this for years? " Pharmacists " NO" me " dont you think it is important to take medication the way it is prescribed by the Dr " only now are they asking for a prior Auth. Whenever possible go to SEEBER, THEY ARE THE BEST. only pick up this one medication at cvs because it's not carried at Seebers. read more

Depends on who's working, all assistants are great. But pharmacist are short over the phone and some are not very compassionate. I understand they are sometimes under staffed and pressured. But when you get a text regarding your prescriptions insurance, you drive over, don't get me start on calling on the phone..., you would think you wouldn't have to wait an hour in the store, snappally informed by the pharmacist, it's going to take an hour. It's a hit or miss. All visits are not unplesant. But being in pain does not help the wait. So, after my attentive thank you for 40ish minute wait, personally I said,"Thank you" to the pharmacist the reply was a no smile and annoying,"yea" Living close to this pharmacy, it is a convenient for our family. Maybe just a bad day for the pharmacist??? Never knowing what's going on in someone else's life is a must in being patient, hoping their day get better. read more

I had a terrible experience today at CVS Y Mas. The employee Dora was very rude and I literally could not comprehend how rude she was. I was just there to buy a passport photo and she literally gave a photo that was not well taken and probably said f it when in reality it wasn't even a acceptable picture you can give to the passport agencies. read more

My prescription had gotten sent to the Oxnard CVS by mistake and when I called them, I was told to call this CVS to have them call for my prescription. When I called at 10:30 this morning to request that they get my prescription from the Oxnard store, I was told it'd be a couple hours. FIVE hours later I was able to get here and she blatantly said that she forgot to call them back (bc the Oxnard one had been busy to fax). So now I'm sitting here, wasting my time bc she's incompetent and can't remember everything she needs to do for her job. read more

This has got to be the most incompetent pharmacy I've ever been to. I had issues trying to get prescriptions transferred from Vons in clovis, Ca ! It was like pulling teeth ! After 7 hours and about 20 phone calls I think I finally have it all straightened out, only to find out that only 1 of my 4 prescriptions were actually filled, when I asked what the others required they told me that the labels needed to be typed out but we're not willing to type them for me!! Then to top it all off I actually witnessed a pharmacist arguing with a customer from the pharmacy area, the customer was at the registers picking up her prescription (s) and the pharmacist wouldn't let it go ! I worked in customer service most of my life and I would never treated my customers like this ! Needless to say I am definitely changing pharmacys and I would never refer anyone to this CVS ! read more

This has to be one of my go to pharmacy in Santa Paula. Had to go say they saved me a couple of times. Went to a pharmacy in Ventura and they didn't have the medication. Called the CVS in Santa Paula and they had it in stock. Have to say the technician are very friendly and were able to explain to me my medication. Fast service too. Really love when the text messages when the prescription is ready. read more

Very bad customer service. I asked employees for help finding something One of them said they were going to ask another Employee where it was and never came back. The manager just pointed to the corner and said "it should be down there." I asked another one and he said he didn't know. I specifically called this pharmacy ahead of time to ask them if my husband needed anything to pick up my prescription for me. They told me as long as he had my name and my birthday it would be fine. It was not a controlled drug-- it was a simple antibiotic. It was not fine. My husband went to the pharmacy, was offered to pay full price since he didn't have my insurance card (which he refused), had to wake me up from my nap--a nap that was terribly difficult for me to attain due to my horrible cough-- so that I could give him my card. Then he had to drive back to the pharmacy to get the meds. Now I am back awake coughing... Wondering if it will take me another hour to fall back asleep. Why couldn't have they just told me he needed the card? Its like they wanted him to pay full price so they conveniently forgot to tell me he'd need it. I would've set it out for him and saved him the trip! PS. They also forgot to include the measuring cup that comes with liquid meds!!! Urgh!! read more

The employees are not reprimanded for inappropriate behavior. A 40 year old employee named Vanessa De Haro had just clocked out of work and walked up to my 15 year old sister who was patiently waiting in line for a checkout and began threatening her with pepper spray because of a family feud. We contacted the police immediately, and notified the employer. CVS did not reprimand the employee and gave us the excuse that they performed an internal investigation and found nothing wrong. These sloppy hiring practices speak volumes about CVS and their company. Please do not come to this pharmacy if you are concerned with your family's safety. CVS Pharmacy in Santa Paula, California denied an elderly disabled Latina woman use of a public restroom this week, then refused her toilet paper. Similar denials to Latinos and African Americans to access public restrooms at other CVS Pharmacy locations of this 7,000 store chain are being reported. This Cvs in Santa Paula is excellent - everybody is very polite and works very hard and gets the job done - they have a lot of people to deal with and seem to be very very competent in everything they do- I have never had a problem, not one time with what they have done for me at the CVS and I've been there many many times- there also very prompt on your text messaging and filling their orders. read more

Was informed it would be around an hour to get 2 prescriptions filled for my son. 2 hours later I show up and guess what it's not ready. 4 members on staff and they are still not done avoid this cvs if at all possible read more
