We have mainly been CVS pharmacy customers and have now thought about switching to Meyers Drug. NOTE, not a big fan of the Food King grocery store itself. If you haven't tried Meyer Drug I would recommend them for your prescription needs.

The doctor called in a rx that had to be filled in the state of Texas. Jeremy was so kind and helped transfer the prescription to his pharmacy. I had hoped to be passing through San Angelo earlier, but was stuck behind an accident in traffic. Jeremy called to check on me as the were about to close. That amazed me! Most would have packed up and left. I pulled in right as the clock turned 6 and he was waiting for me. He went above and beyond on a very stressful day for me.

Because of this I ended up having to get a new prescription for pain meds (from an entirely new doctor that did my second and third cauterizations). The first prescription was filled fine, just extremely slow despite having like 3 pharmacists and 5 techs. Then with the second one 2 weeks later, they didn't have enough to fill the whole prescription so they gave me 1/2 and told me to come back on Thursday after they ordered more. Then when I did, they said it didn't get delivered so they were going to order from a different manufacturer and to come back Monday or later. I go back Tuesday and they refuse to fill it saying they "can't do partials on this medicine" and I was like you're wrong because you ALREADY DID and I pointed to the specific pharmacist who's told me and that the tech went and talked to him. Then it was my "prescription is expired because they expire after 20 days" and I explained no, an entirely different doctor put in a NEW prescription last week like 5 days ago and they insisted it was expired. I come home and look at the bottle and it says "partial refill available until 4/16/21". Luckily I think I won't need the rest because I seem to be healing okay this time but god forbid it was something I genuinely needed. Idiots.

That said, I have no idea what's going here but this Wal-Mart has its stuff together. The first visit was an exceptionally clean visit. From produce all the way to the garden center. Employees were about average and some smiled. No greetings aside from the door person but nothing was expected. Paid a few more visits to include a Saturday afternoon. Exactly the same. I'm sure this isn't the same volume as the ones in Houston that I am accustomed to but never the less who ever is managing here sure like to keep their store clean. No empty holes, no repetitive facing of items from out of stocks. Carts were available etc, etc. I'm sure I have jinxed myself but this place through me for a loop. Thanks local Wal-Mart. I was told they were out of strawberry short cake and they substituted it with nothing! So I ask my curbside assistant if he could go in and choose a cake , his choice. He returned to tell me that he was so sorry but there wasn't even one cake left in the bakery! I questioned that by asking " not one cake " and he again said no. It was this past monday at 6pm...not a holiday. You simply have to laugh at the absence of customer service. Oh and my Lolly pop Strawberries...out and no strawberries for me. I didn't even ask about a substitution since I knew the answer would be ALL OUT!

I returned some subpar HEB frozen biscuits and Alexis in returns was amiable, affable, proficient, etc. Just an all around sweetheart. Next, Ramona in the pharmacy was great.
