Then there is a wait of approximately 10 minutes. There is always a long wait to pick up meds, whether you go to the car pick up or go inside. Additionally, when a Rx is written and it is too early to fill it, the pharmacist never has it ready on the date that it is supposed to be picked up (or even a few days later.) You have to Call Them and ask them to fill it so that you can pick it up! My mother and I had to switch our Rxs to another CVS (Wading River) as the Rocky Point pharmacy closed for a short period of time. When the Rocky Point store reopened and we had switched our Rxs back, they were unable to fill one of my mother's Rx there. They said they could not get that dosage (BP medication) and that I would have to continue to pick it up at the other CVS (Wading River). I asked why they could not order the dosage my Mom needed in Rocky Point and the pharmacist said they tried to order it but couldn't get it! (???) I asked how one CVS can get the med in that dosage but not the other CVS? The pharmacist said she didn't know why. So I have to drive 5 miles to another CVS for one medication. I could go on, but that gives you an idea of the (lack of) customer service.

She told me I needed another card, even though she didn't bother to actually run or check the card. She sent me home, and I persisted and verified the card. I returned to the same pharmacist staff person, who finally deigned to actually use my card and sure enough it paid for the prescription two hours after the initial visit to the pharmacy for anti-anxiety medication for a senior!!! Staffer didn't even apologize. Rude young people in need of training and respect. We are ditching everything CVS and going elsewhere

How is that my wife and I had the exact opposite experience as all these people have had? Well, when the owners of said business decide to sell it two weeks after you enroll your prescriptions. So basically, you can pretty much disregard all of the reviews up until November 2025, as they were posted under Town Pharmacy's previous family-owned front. I don't know who these new guys are, but this place is as hot of a mess as it gets. Nobody currently working here seems to have any idea what they're doing. They consistently get confused. I've called three times asking to have the same two prescriptions refilled and delivered to my home. Each time, nothing was done. In one instance, someone answered and asked me to "Call my doctor to get the ball rolling" while he worked on getting my order. Uhh...isn't that what I just called YOU to do? The venerable icing on the cake was one morning when my wife called to order her insulin. She was told it would be delivered same-day. Gets a callback a little time later: "Sorry, it's too dark out. Someone will come tomorrow." It was 4pm. My wife and I were left speechless. Until, and IF, this place gets its act together, I'd avoid this pharmacy.
