It was a short walk and…read moremuch more convenient than driving to a grocery store (and having to move our car from our coveted street parking spot). This is more of a pharmacy or convenience store than a "market", and we didn't see many fresh items. We found everything we needed, which was mostly snacks and drinks for a chilly night in. They have a large selection of ready to drink single beers, wine, and THC drinks. Everything is pricier than a grocery store or chain pharmacy, but you are paying for the convenience and supporting local.

They also serve lunch, but I've had both and think that their breakfast options are yummier (less $$ too!). When the weather is nice, you have the option to sit outdoors but there's also plenty of seating inside. From the breakfast menu, I've had the Uncle Mack's which has country ham, blackberry-honey jam, NC blue cheddar, and poached egg on a biscuit. The portion size was actually rather large, and the blackberry-honey jam was to die for. I also love their jelly bar! It's right off to the side of the counter where you order food, and you can sample all kinds of jellies with your biscuit. So delicious! From the lunch menu, I've had the roast turkey sandwich off of their lunch menu with a side of macaroni salad. I actually really liked the overall flavor as it contained spinach and feta with rosemary mayo (YUM), but the turkey slices were a bit too thick for me to enjoy eating the sandwich as a whole. They do have many other sandwiches to try though, so I would definitely be willing to order another. Also, surprisingly, their protein shakes are really tasty and don't taste terribly sweet. Perfect way to either start the morning or finish off your morning run by coming here :)

I have been coming here several times a week for years since I live nearby, and I'd like to thank Gulliver, Ginika, and Guap for truly always bringing a positive lift to my day. I remember a few months ago my mom went into Walgreens and saw Gulliver trying to help someone at the photo kiosk while also going back and forth to deal with a long line of customers by himself, as he was the only one there. She was like, "I have no idea how he is doing all that by himself." She was struck by how hard he was working to address everyone's needs - and how despite the obvious stressors and pressure of the situation, his attitude remained calm, positive and friendly to all. I recently observed a customer being and speaking extremely rudely to Ginika, and when I got to the counter, I told her she was my now my new role model for how to remain cool, calm and collected in such a situation. I told her I would not have been able to handle that with such grace and steadiness, and that that's why I had never lasted long in customer service. She just smiled gently and said something to the effect of, "You can't let it bother you; it's never about you." Anyway, I just wanted to write this belated THANK YOU to all of you for bringing a positive spin to my days, and for modeling for me how to be a better human lol! Seriously!! Of course the store has lots of different products which can come in handy when you are in a hurry. But... the new check-in screen at the pharmacy is terrible. It is slow. It does not always recognize your touch on the screen so it is a huge pain. The last time I entered everything and then the pharmacy technician deleted my order when she helped another person who just walked up to the register. Ugh.
