On November 17th I saw a product on TV and looked for it through Google. I saw that CVS had it available and at a great price. The store is 20 minutes from me but I wanted this product. The price on their website said $29.99 so I rushed out to get it. I get to the store and the shelf sticker says $49.99. I bought them to the register and they wouldn't honor the price. I showed them the price listed. The store lead was very unprofessional in her handling of this issue. I called CVS corporate and they put me on hold and called the store. They ended up giving it to me for $29.99. I bought two thinking I would give one to mom for Christmas. After using it, I realized that it may be too hot for my mom's elderly skin so had my son return it with the receipt. My husband noticed how much I liked using it so he asked me to get one for his sister and daughter. I went online to see which store had it again. To avoid the BS I encountered the first time I sent my son with a screenshot of the price shown online. Did I mention that it was an IN STORES ONLY purchase? You couldn't order them online nor through corporate. Well... the price was better at $29.99 buy one get one half. I sent my son to get them and he was embarrassed in front of a store full of people. They kept telling my son that he could only order them online to get that price. HOW??? I would've gladly ordered them online if possible to avoid this nonsense. We're Covid respecting people so we would've ordered online. I called back to the store and l spoke to Joanne who was more unprofessional than the man embarrassing my son. She advised she wouldn't be honoring the price even if corporate called her. She would only do it through a corporate email or if her manager advised. She wasn't losing her job over this. How could you lose your job by honoring the mistake or negligence your company did. You could lose your job over unprofessional behavior so perhaps you should keep that in mind. She has the audacity to say that my son tried to buy them from her before. Well that's a lie. He only came to return the one steamer. So get your facts straight before you accuse someone. I even apologized for CVS putting us both in this predicament. While speaking to her, I believe it was the same man that was embarrassing my son who takes the phone from her and tells me to stop yelling. You didn't mind raising your voice to my son in front of people so why should I lower my voice. I advised that I was calling customer relations and would have them call them again. They implied that they weren't taking any here say conversations. Like I would have one of my friends impersonate your corporate personnel. Customer relations did call them while I was on hold with them but to no avail. They refused. This is a very unprofessional store in beautiful Prospect, CT. Not sure where they got these 3 individuals from but they need to go back to training or worse. I called two other stores in Cheshire. Amanda, one of the store managers said she would honor it if she had the product. That's customer service handled the right way. We ended up buying the items in a Wallingford store and spoke to a manager named Katherine. Again, customer service being a priority in this store said they would honor the price. My poor son had to drive an extra 25 minutes to and from this store when the unprofessional people in the Prospect store could've honored what was shown on their site. To the Prospect store, realize you're a corporate store and not individually owned. CVS made this problem so why act like the costumer is in the wrong? Learn from your other stores on how to deal with a corporate born issue. I'll be sure to let your corporate team know about your actions when I'm called sometime this week. I'll also speak to your district manager whose name I got. Click on the picture to see the full ad where it says ONLY IN STORES. Dates 11/28/2020. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND VISIT KATHERINE IN WALLINGFORD OR AMANDA IN CHESHIRE. Their stores are filled with people that take their positions seriously and treat customers with respect. My son noticed the difference right off the bat. read more
