The pharmacist that was working tonight had a fragile ego and was rude as h***. I was having issues getting my autistic child's antipsychotics filled and I was worried because I know how serious of a situation this is. I asked if he would be able to give me just enough to get her through from tonight till tomorrow morning so I can get this figured out. He said no, he can't over ride the doctors order. I begged, on the verge of tears, are you sure there is nothing you can do? This is a serious medication. He then pulled at his white coat and said "yeah I know what this medication is" I apologized for offending him, and said that it wasn't my intention, I am just worried about the medication. He replies with "yeah, right, sure". I then asked him to not talk to me like that, I even called him sir, he comes back with, "how would you feel if someone came to your work and was rude to you?". I explained that I work at a dental office and I deal with it all of the time, so I would never talk to someone like that intentionally and apologize again. He started getting loud with me again, so I just peeled out of the drive through. I was going to end up saying something I regretted. I then called my adult daughter upset over the exchange and over the fact that my daughter is not going to have the only medication that keeps her violent tendencies at bay. She ended up calling the pharmacy and he answered. He didn't tell her he was the pharmacist. He didn't tell her his name, he actually refused. When she started to complain on my behalf, only then did he admit it was him. He has no business working with the public in healthcare. I get how we are all treated, like crap. I have been in healthcare my entire life. But because of how we are treated daily, I would never do it to someone else. And I would never be so easily insulted by someone who was clearly scared and confused who apologized multiple times. I am not going to be using this pharmacy anymore, and I suggest that they do something about him. Old man need retire. He is clearly miserable. read more
