I felt happy that this CVS had the Moderna vaccine in stock as opposed to the Pfizer vaccine. I also felt happy that this CVS had many times available for my appointment, so I could choose a time that fit my husband's work schedule. In the days prior to our appointment, CVS sent text messages and emails to remind us of the day and time. Upon our arrival, we checked in via a link that had been texted to us. The two employees at the pharmacy promptly and politely greeted us, looked us up in their computers, and prepared our vaccines. They asked us if we also wanted to receive the flu shot, and I agreed to receive it. The pharmacist did a great job with injecting both the COVID-19 and flu vaccines.

The pharmacist/owner, Kyle, is doing something truly groundbreaking by providing access to medications at a lower cost without the need for insurance. He sees that the state of the pharmaceutical/insurance/healthcare industries is not doing any favors for the person they are all theoretically supposed to serve, the patient, and is on a mission to help the consumer by negotiating directly with suppliers. My dog has had major GI problems when we've tried a generic version of his medication. When I spoke with Kyle about this, he explained to me that what I would be getting through him is called an authorized generic. A company called Prasco, a leader in the authorized generic space, produces our exact same medication with the manufacturer's blessing but it comes to us under their label instead of GSK. Everything about the medication is otherwise the same. He was so knowledgeable that I took it on faith that this medication would be the same as the $500 brand name and told him my dog would let me know if it wasn't. That was a few months ago and we are now ordering our second inhaler through Blueberry, so suffice to say it is working out and we are thankful. We pay about $260 instead of $400-$500; I'll take it. I simply went on their website, logged in, saw several appointment times over the next few days, and made appointments for my husband and me. On the day of our appointments, the pharmacist was courteous and did an excellent job with the vaccine injections. To ensure that my husband and I did not experience any allergic reactions, we hung around by shopping in the store. I picked up a few items such as contact solution, hamburger buns, and cat litter. Products were in stock, and prices were low compared to many other retailers. At the checkout, several cashiers were working, and only one customer was ahead of us in line. The cashier wore a face mask, greeted us, accurately rang up our items, and thanked us.

Left work a couple hours later to pick it up, got there before they closed for lunch. They said "oh, we didn't fill it, and we left you a voicemail, but you can come back and pick it up in a couple hours." When i got frustrated about the lack of communication, bad information, and lack of accommodation, they got huffy, and accused me of being "mean". And then closed for lunch. Not everyone can pick up their phone at work, and you should confirm with people when you change plans that required them to go out of their way. Barring that, when you realize you've screwed up someone's day, take 3 minutes to fill the prescription before you close for lunch. Go elsewhere if you can.

When my out of state doctor called in the prescription they automatically picked up my new insurance and set everything up. The service was excellent and the prescriptions where exactly what was ordered. This CVS is my goto pharmacy. Plenty of parking as it is in a huge sopping center and like I said it is inside the Target. I will definitely be going here over and over again.

Staff members are friendly here, but this CVS Pharmacy has particularly slow service. My wait was…read more40 minutes, and it was not even a busy time of the day. I have never waited so long for a prescription at any other location. In addition, staff kept telling me it would only be a few more minutes, so I kept waiting instead of getting my other shopping done. I would have rather just been quoted a long wait time up front, so I could have gone to accomplish other errands while waiting.

We waited for several minutes while he prepared the medication in the needles. When the pharmacist was ready, he called us over to a small area that contained a couple of chairs and was separated by a makeshift wall. He asked us some questions about any side effects from the first two doses of the vaccine. He disinfected my arm, used good injection technique (I am a nurse), and applied a bandage. My husband seemed to have a good experience with his injection as well. I feel very thankful that this Walmart Pharmacy had many appointments available when other competing pharmacies had few appointments available.
