Every employee here is AMAZING!. If there's an issue with your script it's not the "its your problem" like the chain pharmacies, they actually will take the time to help sort it out. This is how pharmacies should be, small town, personal service with kindness and compassion. You are NOT a number here. This little shop is more then a pharmacy also, there is an array of everything here from typically pharmacy stuff to local candies, American made gifts and even a jewelry counter, its the most adorable little shop! Always a home town feel, this is family owned and it shows. The owner is always there working side by side and although I've never dealt with him, its apparent he cares about his business. Joel has been such an incredible help over the years, in fact i followed him here from his previous pharmacy, he's that amazing. if there's an issue, he will let me know and help me sort it. He's always incredibly kind, super knowledgeable and always professional, I'm so grateful for all you've done to help me. Courtney is always a pleasure, always upbeat and will always take time to answer your question, she's a wealth of knowledge this one and an effervescent personality i love. There is no shortage of good Ole small town love here. The only…read moretime I ever remember them being closed was over a decade ago when they moved to a much larger location (the former Ames department store) in the same shopping center. Weis is open 6 AM to midnight, 7 days a week. I just came back from there where I checked the hours. I see one review that says they are frequently out of stock. They have never been out of stock for what I buy, mostly fresh vegetables and fruit. I went there this morning because Walmart was out of stock. I shop both stores and I have been happy with both but I find that Weis has double the variety of produce and usually higher quality. Sometimes their prices are higher but I go there for quality not the cheapest price. They are about ready to open a gas station in front of the store. It should be open in 2015.

After calling around to 29 places yesterday, the 30th place that I called was The Medicine Shoppe in Boyertown. Ed picked up the phone and he was beyond any level of pure kindness that I can't even think of any words to say. He took a few minutes out of his day to talk to me versus a majority of other places I spoke to who wanted to get me off the phone as quick as possible. Ed is truly pushing and advocating for the Group 1A also known as - the high risk, and elderly. He was so genuine and compassionate that I felt the passion for what he does, did, and will continue to do during our entire few minutes, spent on the phone together. After calling around everywhere yesterday and then hanging up the phone after speaking to Ed. Him and his staff are true superheroes trying to help out their elderly patients. She has the patience of a saint and is outstanding in every way. Her assistant, Kelly, is excellent as well. She knows her job and does it so well. It is a clean store with friendly staff and they have everything a drugstore would usually have from snacks to dairy, cosmetics, pharmaceutical items, seasonal, you name it!! The only downside is the parking lot spaces aren't too big and it is a bit cramped together in the already small parking lot, and turning out onto Forty Foot Road left or right can be a pain because of the traffic due to the nearby Sumneytown Pike and the aforementioned turnpike. Other than that, this is a drugstore worth checking out!!

With the lack of a grocery store in Old City, the smart thing to do would be to expand those sections. But I can usually find what I'm looking for here. And the pharmacy rarely has a wait. They recently added self checkout machines, so u can generally avoid that person holding up the line complaining about something or asking for a rain check on a coupon. This CVS has been a welcome addition to my Old City neighborhood since the day it opened.

The cashier gave no greeting, no smile, no "thank you," no "have a nice day" ... nothing. He simply handed me the bag without saying a word. Wth? That kind of cold, indifferent service really stands out in a customer-facing position. A clean, well-run store loses a lot of goodwill when the final interaction feels that dismissive. Management should seriously look at cashier training and basic customer-service standards. A simple greeting and thank-you cost nothing, but they make a big difference.
