Visited March 25 2026. See both receipts. When I am in Oroville I help a disabled person by picking up their meds at CVS. I also buy him cat food because he can't afford it. They have a drive thru as well. They get Very busy now that Rite Aid and I guess Walgreens are both closed. Most of the employees are nice with a few exceptions. The employees working in the store and not the pharmacy are very helpful and kind! I personally go to my own local pharmacy where there is no wait! read more

Overall sucks. Are not allowed to use the restroom. Customer service is the worst. We being helped since everything has to be locked up and the employee walked away from me before she even got all the items I needed for me. Used to be such a great store but now it has totally gone downhill. read more

I recently watcbed "The war on ivermectin "that shows that two out of three people diagnosed with Covid and use ivermectin survive covid , it's not just for horses like the fake mainstream news says. So when I got out of the hospital after being diagnosed with Covid I called CVS in Oroville California to get a prescription of ivermectin, they instructed me they do have it but will not prescribe it for COVID-19 patients. According to the documentary and book "the war on ivermectin, it saves lives (2 out of 3) you can review it on the thehighwire.com just search "The war on ivermectin" it's Worth watching if you or your loved ones have suffered with Covid and want inexpensive medication these guys have it and they deny anyone with Covid even with a prescription. I have been going to CVS a good part of my life but I have lost all respect for them on this one... no more shopping there. Denying humans medication that can save their lives is a horrible policy CVS ! You have sold out to Americans with your pathetic policy denying a medication that can save lives! read more

This review is in relation to the pharmacy only. The staff is all nice, polite, professional. The operation overall is a mess however. I've called in multiple times to see if a RX was ready or could be expedited and the hold time Just to get a tech on the line can be over 30 mins. The drive thru is very hit or miss also. Meaning about half the time it's open and half the time it's closed when it should be open (generally with a sign that either says they are short staffed or the payment system is down). One day I was two cars from the window after what started out to be a six car line and they closed the window on the cars that were still waiting. Pretty brutal. Unfortunately this is about par for the course for all the pharmacies in the Oroville area. Hopefully they get a new card processor and hire some more techs. read more

He's always friendly, helpful, patient, & understanding and he's a genuine pleasure to work with. I would normally not make this kind of review but this was CVS. For cryin out loud. We came up for the day. Just to take a break from home and I needed to use the bathroom. Bathrooms are in short supply during a pandemic you wouldn't think so but many clean places, the lobbies are closed. One room for men and women. Stall and urinal. One stop peeing. The toilet paper that was in there was on the floor. No seat covers, no soap, no paper towels, a dirty floor. It didn't look like it had been cleaned in days if not weeks. This was disgusting. But... I was desperate. No other choice at that moment. CLEAN YOUR BATHROOM AND STOCK IT PLEASE. COME ON for cryin out loud. You are supposed to be a leader in health care. This was disgusting. Oh, and, we were not welcomed as we walked in. We are always welcomed at the one back home. It helps to set the mood. Also i was ignored when I asked where the restroom was by one of the gals in the pharmacy. I wasn't rude. She wasn't on the phone. I said excuse me twice. Second tome she looked up but said nothing. Another one of the ladies back there heard me. I struggle with this. I just needed a bathroom and I was in desperate mode. Praying that I didn't completely embarrass myself by leaving a puddle. Picking up prescriptions is always a pain. Waiting inside or outside in line seems like forever sometimes. But today was a different experience inside when my husband and I picked up our prescription. The man working the pick up window inside who's name is Ed. Not only was he professional and experienced in his medical position (L V N?) but he is also wonderful at customer service. Polite and patient. Thank you Ed! You made our wait a pleasure. If I could give them zero stars, they would deserve It. Made appointment for 9:30 AM FLU SHOT. FIlled out all forms on line and was inline to check in. Waited in line for 10 minutes only to be told our nurse isn't here and it may be 30 minutes or longer For covid, flu, or any other vaccine. Almost everyone in there is pleasant except the Pharmacy Manager! Very rude and disrespectful! She tries to make excuses as to why your prescription is not ready. I tried to get a prescription filled for 2 days only to be put on hold and then hung up on after waiting on phone for 28 minutes. I finally had have my doctor call back in which they attempted 3 times. Arrive to pick up prescription and she says 15 mins and then after she is trying to give excuses as to why she didn't have it ready and then says ok it's gonna be 20 mins now because I had to stand here and talk to you!!!" I'd give a zero if I could. I have been going here with and for my parents for a while and the lines and waits are getting much longer. They say they are picking up a bunch of the survivors from paradise. May I suggest hiring more staff? Doubling and tripling wait times is unacceptable! This location certainly isn't putting the costumer first! Just had to wait again for a prescription I dropped off. They told me 35-minutes. This am I called for the 4th time for a renewal of a prescription that my dr put in on Friday. Today is Tuesday. The women I talked to said they did not receive the order . She was extremely rude. would not listen to me at all and I hung up. I called my dr who explained they had sent 5 orders over for this drug and that the women she talked to was rude. 8 hrs later Cvs filled prescription with wrong dosage. I recalled my dr again. CVS is consistently bad, they never have medication on time, even when they text me they are ready. My wife is on Hospice comfort care and we have no medication at home for her. Let me start out by saying I live in the Oroville, California area and have been getting my prescription from a Chico, Ca pharmacy close to my doctors office but is about 40 miles away from my home. I thought it might be more convenient for me to have my pharmacy closer to me home and decided on CVS per my insurance agents recommendation whereby I could save $ in a years' time frame. I had my doc call in the prescription to my local CVS in Oroville on Oro Dam Blvd. on Tues Nov 5, 2019. I called CVS pharmacy that afternoon about 2pm and was told that it would be ready at 4p. I left my office and arrived at the pharmacy about 5pm. I went to the counter and was told they had been busy and it would be ready in about 20 to 30 mins. I went outside and sat in my vehicle for about 30 mins and went back into the store to the counter. I was told that it was out of stock and it should arrive the next day Wednesday Nov 6. I asked why I had not been informed of this when I was at the counter 30 mins ago and was told to come back. The apparent supervisor or lead person said the computers don't communicate that well with each other. No apology for my wasted time and I left the pharmacy. I then went to the front cashier and asked for the managers phone number and name, got it, thanked the man and got in my vehicle and called the managers number and left a detailed message about what had occurred thinking I would receive a call back the next day--Never heard back to this date Nov 25, 2019. Wed Nov 6 I called the pharmacy about 4pm and was told it was ready for me to pickup. When I arrived at the pharmacy window about 5:30pm I paid for it and was told the pharmacist wanted to speak with me so I stepped over to the adjacent consultation window. The pharmacist opened the bag and put the numerous bottles on the countertop and started explaining that each bottle was for 1 dose, that there would be some leftover in the bottle that I could just discard. (Not my idea of a good time wasting the medicine by the way). I asked if that is what my doctor had ordered and he said it was not and then he went onto this long explanation of why they had given me these individual bottles and started drawing circles and arrows on a bag talking about different quantities of dose amounts etc. I was amused by his drawing skills or lack thereof but I just wanted to get my prescription and leave for home. I asked if my doctor had ordered these individual bottles and he said no. I said I just want what my doctor had ordered and did not want individual bottles. He said he could not do that. I told him I wanted my money back since you are not going to give me what my doctor had ordered. He seemed upset when I told him that and promptly stepped to the next counter and told the cashier to refund my currency. She did and I left. I am upset for a few reasons as you might imagine. I thought it prudent to bring this to your attention to make sure other customers are treated as valued customers. I thought corporate customer relations should know of my experience so I wrote them. Not a frickin word to this date Nov 25, 2019. It seems pretty obvious to me they really could care less about their customers. I contacted Walgreens at the Oroville store. The pharmacist was friendly, helpful and filled my doctor's prescription as it was written. That's all I wanted in the 1st place. ---------------------------- Today is Dec 14, 2019. It has now been Since Nov 5, 2019 I contacted the Oroville CVS and Have Not To This Date Ever Heard Back from CVS other than this post here from CVS saying they made their team aware. Oroville, CA CVS The one star is for poor phone service! A week ago I was in the store and the phone in pharmacy was ringing non stop. Out of 8 employees, NO ONE ANSWERED. The pharmacist finally snapped at the other employees about letting the phone go unanswered. Today, I tried to call. After being on hold for 15 minutes, the phone disconnected. I called back, someone answered after 10 minutes. I began to tell her about being disconnected, when she rudely snapped at me, asked if she could "PUT ME ON A BRIEF HOLD". WHEN I SAID, NO, SHE DID IT ANYWAY!. I WAS ALL READY ON HOLD OVER 30 MINUTES. ANSWER THE PHONE IN A TIMELY MANNER AND ACTUALLY HELP THE CALLER. OH BY THE WAY, LAST WEEK, NONE OF THE STAFF WERE MASKED UP. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Are you looking for slow and rude customer service? Look no further. This pharmacy is the slowest in town. The staff is rude and not knowledgeable at all. I waited in line for 15 minutes. They sent me to a different window to put my daughters insurance information in. They then send me to the waiting line once again to wait for another 10 minutes. I should add, there was 1 lady in there that was quick at what she was doing and nice to work with. I would not suggest this pharmacy to anyone. read more

Frequently they don't have the drugs my prescriptions require, or they tell me over the phone that my prescriptions are ready, Only to tell me when I get there that they are still in process and will require more time. This place is a joke. Everytime my doctor sends my prescription to this pharmacy they lose the prescription. It always takes 3-4 times of me calling my doctor and them calling CVS before they finally "find" my prescription. The staff is no help. They don't even try to look for my prescription, and the pharmacist is always either busy, on lunch, or in the parking lot jumping his car. This place is seriously trash. read more

My mother was having a reaction to one of her topical medications. She went in to see about getting an older version of it. The pharmacist told her that she should go to another pharmacy to get it. She was prepared to do so, when Tanya the pharmacy Tech that works there called her up and said that she understood what she wanted and promptly ordered the older version! I would like to give Tanya 5 stars for taking the time to listen and problem solve to keep my mothers prescriptions being filled at CVS. I would have given a much lower amount of stars for the pharmacist who would have rather had another pharmacy problem solve and figure it out. read more

Was told today that they were not going to fill my prescription because they had a limited supply and they were saving it for there regular customers. I had to go to a clinic today because it was Sunday and my primary MD was closed. And I feel like because I was a clinic patient they assumed I was some kind of poor dirt bag tweeker. I bet if I had worn my work attire and was dressed nice it would have been a different story. I found the service tonight in the pharmacy to be appalling I was 4 minutes past 8pm as I went to the drive through first!! when I went inside as the cashier was still helping another customer she proceeded to tell me they were closed and refused to give my kids medication. 0 Stars......HORRIBLE!! LONG WAIT!!! Today I waited 21 minutes for the two cars in front of me at the Pharmacy Drive Thru. When I came to the window, The (very young) Pharmacy Manager told me I needed to wait a few minutes and walked away. As I watched thru the window, I noticed that there were no customers at the counter. The Manager was smiling Laughing talking to the other Techs Carefree and messed around with other orders then came back to help me. When I complained that I was so upset over the 21 minute wait for two cars and told her to hurry up and get a move on, She refused to serve me and told me it was because Of my attitude. I NEVER used profanity, I NEVER called her names or NEVER personally attacked her in any way. Only complained about the wait.She refused to assist me. I went down the road to Walgreens and there were 4 cars in front of me and they processed one car per minute with a smile. I drove out 5 minutes later!!!!!!!!!!! USE WALGREENS on Olive Highway. I believe an professional mature Manager should have apologized for the wait and processed my order. read more
