I have never had a problem with the pharmacy here. I have been using them for over 15 years and they have always been great. I found myself in this CVS for two reasons: 1. My child had to use the restroom (it was decently clean, and the pharmacist that directed us to them was pleasant about us inquiring where it was) 2. I had coupons and Extra Care dollars to use! The selection was on the slimmer side which I found to be a surprise for a CVS, but maybe they had been picked over by people looking for the same deals on the same items? Needless to say, I didn't get the baby wipes I wanted. Oh well. The employee that rang up my purchase (4 packs of diapers, fun times!) was so laid back, I really appreciated that he did his job competently but seemed relaxed, like he wasn't really doing work at all. One of the only CVSs that I've been to where couponing doesn't seem a burden to the staff, or at least this single staff member. He didn't make me feel like scum for having a thoughtful collection of coupons to use...hey man, I'm about saving that money! If you don't have a CVS card, get one. When you walk into this store, go directly to the kiosk that faces the entrance and scan your card for various savings! read more

It's CVS. They have what you need, and if they are out of it, they will honor the price with a put-together order. For instance, I went in looking for 99Cent sympathy cards, there they were. I also was looking for a 18-pack of Michelob Ultra cans, which they were sold out of. The friendly guy at the counter called the manager, Lucky, to help me...see if there was any in the back. He said he'd check, and if they didn't have any, I could get a 12pk and a 6pk of bottles at the 18pk can price. He checked, no luck for Lucky, but he loaded up a 12pk and a 6pk for me and wheeled it up front and I got that for the advertised price of $14.99. Yay me, happy weekend. I was there a few weeks ago and decided to buy some cheap eyeshadow, and the stuff must've been mismarked, I did not get the advertised price of Buy One Get One 50% off, but...I was too impatient to deal with it and left with the price charged, although the gal offered to go check the tags and all that. So, if I'd had more patience, I guess I'd have saved $2.50 but I was not in the mood, there was a long line and I felt like it would have made me seem like a cheap A-Hole. I am having trouble getting a prescription filled and the pharmacy worker told me they would get it and text me, after 5 days or so I went online to check the status and it says in process. After 10 days, when I am almost out of medicine, I decided I needed to talk to them instead of relying on their automated system. After 40 minutes on hold I gave up thinking that I must have gotten into the wrong queue somehow, but when I called again I went right back into the same queue (at least it was giving the same messages while I waited). Finally, since I never got someone to answer the phone I decided to drive to the pharmacy. They blame the doctor saying there were insufficient instructions on the use of the medicine and said they requested the instructions days ago. Now that I know that, I called the doctor, but since they had never told me and wouldn't answer the phone I have now driven to the pharmacy twice and waisted more than an hour on the phone just to get a medicine I have used for years. If a pharmacy is not willing to answer their phone I don't want to do business with them. read more

I'm getting so sick of the idiot business practice of assuming all customers are potential criminals to solve the possibility of loss by a real criminal. For instance, my ex-bank made it so I couldn't get in or out of their doors because that's the solution they came up with to guard against bank robbers. CVS has now won the idiocy prize, hands down. I walked into the Oceanside Blvd. store, cane in one hand and purse in the other, to buy the supplies I needed. After not finding a cart, I asked for one and was told they got rid of them because they were being stolen out of the parking lot. Let this sink in folks. CVS's solution to outdoor theft is to make sure I can't shop indoors. That should balance their spreadsheet. read more

Mahshidad, very unhelpful, hangs up on your before confirming anything and guess what...is the manager. Had to call Corporate. How can anyone be in a caring field be soo uncaring? Asked for a med to get transfer - mind you - I am feeling like crap, I need this med to feel better. I asked if they could just go ahead and transfer it and they hang up. So, did it get transferred? And before that they say to another CVS in Carlsbad? Which one? Any? Am I to call all stores and ask if they have my med? Thanks for nothing. And when I call again to ask who did I speak to and can I speak to their manager I find out I did speak to their manager. The girl who answered took everything I said personally. Rude. The manager there named Juan was super rude to me. And it takes forever for them to do pictures. The person before me ordered 300 photos and I ordered 2 and he said rudely that he wouldn't put me before them even though the customer wasn't there. I come here every 3 weeks to get my birth control refill. I receive calls saying it's ready to be picked up. I come here its never ready, i usually wait 20-45 mins, when its supposed to be ready and I'm due for it, today they want to charge me when it's covered under my insurance. The bathrooms are filthy and dingy. The service in the pharmacy department is fair. Sometimes they are on the ball other times when my prescriptions need authorization from doctor it takes forever for them to be filled. I called my doctors and they said it is CVS, not them. I have called the main headquarters and complained. The service is better for a short time and then they go back to being slow and unorganized. There is an Asian girl that works there that is very rude. The store overall is not very clean. Dont recommend this pharmacy. read more

I cannot say enough about this particular CVS!!! I have moved away and yet I come to this one still! Aaron and Gus and the women in the pharmacy are great and I can tell that they really care and they are very reliable and on time with filling my scripts. And Bob the manager is truly amazing! He works very hard and pitches in all the time and does not get stressed and goes the very.. very EXTRA MILE for me and all of the other customers! I have saved literally thousands of dollars of shopping at CVS.. with their EXTRA BUCKS program! I walk in and print out my coupons and they have AMAZING SALES on things that are expensive such as dish soap, laundry detergent, make up.. water and great deals on cans of nuts a lot of times! I go there and stock up! And I do "TWO" separate transactions. I pay for my items that have even up to $10 value for EXTRA BUCKS which is like getting something for FREE! I use a lot of $5 Extra Bucks coupons and so I pay for those items that have Extra Bucks associated with them and they do another transaction and USE my EXTRA BUCKS COUPON right away so it does not stay in my purse and expire. Everyone there has a lot of patience as well and they are like this nice, big, happy family at this CVS store in Oceanside! My thanks goes out to people like: Bob, Suzie, Aaron, Gus, Mike, Crystal, James, Alan, Moe and many more! Everyone there is EXTREMELY helpful and all you have to do is ask and they are very willing to help you and all the time with a great big SMILE! It is pretty much therapeutic shopping there. Lol! LOVE THIS CVS!!! And again, I moved away about 30 mins out of town and do my biz at this store bc it means a lot that they are always on top of things.. especially the pharmacy department. I was disappointed to find they don't carry those big framed, thick plastic, heavy-duty reading glasses I remember from my early childhood. (Picture Erkel meets Lorraine from MADTv) Now I don't know WHAT to wear with my cat sweater and stretch pants! I suppose I can always bust out the puff-paint & sequins to complete this fabulous outfit of awesomeness. For some reason, every CVS that I've gone to in LA is always out of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail strips (http://www.sallyhansen.com/products/nails/nail-color/salon-effects-real-nail-polish-strips). Not this one! They had the full line, well-stocked so I was psyched. They also had a brush that I've been looking for for ages and hadn't had any luck finding until coming to this CVS. So, based on those two criteria, I was happy with my experience at this CVS location. The cashier was helpful and friendly. And it's located right off of the freeway. I sent my prescription to this pharmacy an hour ahead of time. When I got there they said it wasn't ready and I would have to wait 15 minutes. I said okay and came back 30 minutes later. They said it still wasn't ready and I would have to wait. About 10 minutes later they called my name and I went to the counter. They said they were out of stock for my particular prescription and I would have to come back the next day. What a joke. I will never go to this pharmacy again. Worthless!!! read more

Come in once and a while for prescriptions. Everytime it takes forever. The reason I leave a review this time, employees shouldn't argue in front of a customer you're helping. Each time they have to search around for the prescription like it's an Easter egg hunt. But the ticky tacky arguing needs to stop. I don't want to hear it and have to wait forever. read more

Go here when I have to but really hate it here!!!! There is one lady there who just really hates her job it seems like. She put in a prescription to be filled and put it in wrong so then the wrong medication got filled and was taken by accident. Thank goodness nothing bad happen. Besides that she always seems to have a chip on her shoulder and just asking an question and paying for your medication is an inconvenience for her. I'm giving these guys 5 stars because I've never had an issue with any of the employees at this location, the employees are friendly and all know the store layout when I ask for help on finding something, and I like CVS in general. MAJOR props to CVS as a company for recently STOPPING the sale of cigarettes at ALL of their locations. That is what will truly make change happen, I really and truly respect CVS as a company for halting cigarette sales despite the fact that they know they'll take a big hit on revenue. One complaint about this location is that their pharmacy waits in my opinion are a little too long, often with a lot of people in line/waiting and only two staff or maybe 3, but like the rest of the employees in this store, the pharmacy staff are still friendly and they have never messed up on filling my prescription accurately. There's always a parking spot available at this location and they're right next to a decently-sized supermarket which is a plus. read more
