I came onto Yelp to check if it was just a fluke, but it seems that terrible service at the Northboro CVS is the baseline. They pharmacist I saw was RUDE, no excuse even if rushed or overworked. They also messed up my medication, and after I waited 40 mins in the line, they just shrugged like it was not any issue they'd care about. They are horrible, inefficient, snotty, and thankfully Wegman's has a pharmacy to switch to. read more

this is by far the worst pharmacy ive ever used. days to get a box off the shelf unless you complain. they "fill" prescriptions that they dont have the ability to fill and it becomes a headache to get at another store. drive thru is horrible, they are put on the back burner for phone calls. my kid once needed a basic ear infection med, they had on the shelf, said 2 days to fill...6 month old in pain.. they work hard and are good people but completely understaffed. cvs fix this read more

After an around twenty minute wait, we were promptly served at the CVS Minute Clinic by Mr. Gerard N., nurse practitioner. Gerard explained clearly how to administer the medicine. The waiting room had two free plugs to recharge electronics for customers. The store had no free wifi. It was efficient to get medicine at the pharmacy within the store. The CVS mini-clinic sent directly the prescription to the pharmacy. Vaccines can also be administered on site. The vast majority of health insurances was accepted. By registering to their loyalty program, you can get discounts on products. It was free and easy to park on their private parking lot. read more

Got my flu shot easily at the Minute Clinic. No issues with prescriptions in the 10 years I've come here.

This site is consistently 5-6 days delayed in filling prescriptions. There is little to no follow through with physicians to obtain prior authorizations or Rx renewals. All follow up is left to the customer to pursue. The pharmacists are harried and overwhelmed. The have told me they are understaffed and that corporate CVS does not listen to their feedback. Some of the pharmacy techs are pleasant and try to help, but many of them are rude and disrespectful. Today I was told one medication was out of stock but when the tech checked, there was one bottle in stock. It is only a matter of time before more serious errors are made with customers Rx's. CVS corporate needs to resolve the staffing issue immediately. There is no demonstration that CVS cares about staff or customer well being. read more

I was there recently to drop off a prescription, and wait for it. I got there at about 1:50p.m., and had to wait until 2:00, because the entire pharmacy shuts down for lunch. I was told it would be about 10 minutes to fill prescription. After about 15 minutes, I asked if I could get a shingles shot. Yes, but I would have to wait. I said no because I THOUGHT my prescription was about to be done. Well, 10 minutes turned out to be 40 minutes. I went back today to get the shot, got there about 1:20, was told to come back at 2 because they all go to lunch at the same time. That policy is so not customer friendly, but it's CVS, and they don't care. I called another local pharmacy to ask about their hours, and they said they do not close for lunch. I'm going to transfer my prescriptions there. The service can't be any worse. I've gone to CVS for a long time, and they make a lot of money off of me, and now with this lunch policy, I have officially had enough of their horrible "customer service." read more

I will say though that this place could seriously benefit from having a self check out kiosk. It seems really understaffed, and the check out is always slow as molasses. CVS Northborough and the Pharmacist on duty Jenifer have decided as CVS always does to put profits ahead of people. After 7 hours in the ER with my daughter and sever stomach pains they prescribed her Zofran, which the insurance company won't cover without the doctor authorizing it directly to the insurance company. I understand the insurance rules, always have since my wife's brain cancer, and I know they can give one dose to last the night without charging me out of pocket. However, "Jenifer" good little corporate soldier that she is charged almost $16 for what turned out to be less than a tablespoon of medicine, yes I measured it was 3/4 of a tablespoon. If you ever give any money to this greed filled company you are supporting what represents the worst in corporate greed and the worst in American health care. They would rather let a child suffer and make a single father fight for reimbursement from the insurance company than doing the right thing. read more

The place is terrible. The pharmacy isn't well staffed and you have to wait forever to have your prescription filled and then the wait time to Pay is inexcusable. The staff is fine they just need to hire more help. Oh yes, I had to use the rest room while I was waiting and it was a mess read more

Pharmacy, without any explanation or notice to me, changed my prescription from a 90 day supply to a 30 day supply, and then said that I must have changed it, despite my telling them repeatedly that I wouldn't know how to even if I wanted to. Miss "I can do no wrong" blamed it on me. Changed pharmacies that day. read more

In terms of the Pharmacy, they are efficient and quick. It is well staffed. They will call the doctor if necessary and fill the prescription as soon as possible. Good communication and counseling with the consumers. Theres also a minute clinic if necessary with a Nurse Practitioner. You can use the minute clinic for benign medical conditions like vaccination, UTIs etc. Insurance is accepted. Theres a kiosk near the examination room where you enter your information serving as the front desk. If he cant help , he will prompt you in the right direction. The store is clean overall.Theres a busy but fast moving drive thru. All the staff is knowledgable and personable. read more

I went to the Northborough, MA CVS for a medical test yesterday. Where the Minute Clinic area was closed and the area around the Minute Clinic was under construction, I went to the Pharmacy to see about the test. The person at the pharmacy could not understand me, and I could not understand him. Finally, he waved energetically in the direction of the Consultation window. I went to the Consultation window and eventually, a young man came over. I told him why I was there. He told me very abruptly that the pharmacy has nothing to do with the Minute Clinic, and that I should go over there. I pointed out the construction and told him that the clinic did not appear to be open. Again, very abruptly, he told me that there was no connection between the two, that the Minute Clinic was not being reconstructed, and that I needed to go there. I was shocked at the poor service. I did go there, and since it turned out to be lunch time, eventually, Heather Millan, NP did take care of me, and she was excellent. I have been a CVS client for decades. I have dealt with the Westborough, MA CVS for 20 years. I have dealt with the North Grafton, MA CVS for the past 4 years. I have always had impeccably excellent customer service at both. In my opinion, the Northborough CVS has some problems that need to be corrected. read more

They wasted my time. Other members of my family received flu shots at this CVS this week. I went there on my lunch break (1pm) to get one for myself. Stand line line. Provide ID, health insurance info ... then I'm told they can't do it. Go to the Minute Clinic next door. They have the supply, but there computer told them to do something else. Not will to try to figure out why my experience is inconsistent with that of 3 other members of my family. "the computer says ...". Problem is Minute Clinic is on lunch break until 2pm. CVS ... don't waste my time. People are supposed to solve problem, not repeat what the computer said. I'll be giving Walgreens my business for the foreseeable future. read more

If I could give this pharmacy a negative star rating I would. For months the pharmacist there has made errors on my daughter's meds. Not average run of the mill prescriptions but insulin. Something she has to have to LIVE. The first time they gave her a months supply on a three month prescription, charged her for a three month refill. Then when she went to refill it after a month they told her It was too soon. Even though they shorted her two months. I had to go in and explain their negligence upon which time they realized their mistake. Getting an apology from the pharmacist was like pulling teeth. Get off your high horse. YOU made the mistake. Tonight, I went to collect her other insulin and was told it was $388 for a month's supply. Last month it was $25. Nothing on her end changed. Same insurance. I asked what the issue was and they said they forgot to submit it to insurance so to the back of the line I went while they re-processed it (i had been in line waiting already for close to 30 minutes). I have never seen such incompetence in my life. Shame on you CVS for allowing this to continue. It never changes. These are people's lives. I'll be contacting your corporate office tomorrow and complaining about your gross negligence. Your pharmacist should have her license revoked. My next step is to contact the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Bureau of Health Professions Licensure office and file a complaint as well. Additionally, the way the pharmacist spoke to the elderly gentleman In line tonight was deplorable. Do your damned job. Answer your phone when customers call. If i could give this pharmacy 0 stars i would!! I recently moved back to Northborough...They are awful.. they do not help you with dr's or anything.. unlike other cvs pharmacy where they will call your insurance company.. dr's and etc... even walgreens is better than this place. Some of the staff are okay.. but others not so much.. some are rude and think because they work in a pharmacy they are really smart but unfortunately.. they act like they know but have no clue what they are talking about. Found their pharmacy staff to be mostly good but their front cashiers/staff are not so good. Today there were empty boxes where the candy bars I wanted should be. I asked about restocking the empties and was told the supplier hadnt delivered. I asked another employee and she restocked. read more

I am a former store manager at Toy R Us so I know what it is like to be very busy especially at Christmas time. The people in the pharmacy work every day like it's Christmas time.They are well trained and work like a well oiled machine.every day is like Christmas time there!! Of course the pharmacy is managed very efficiently by the pharmacy manager Stacey.she always has a smile on her face for the customers. She does her job very well !! Of course she could use additional help but but she has put together a very good team. They are all very pleasant to deal with. Yes, you sometimes get lines at register but considering the amount of customers she services per hour , this is to be expected. I always use the drive up window and never wait. GREAT JOB PHARMACY TEAM. The store manager is Dave Hathaway and it is run very well.The sales people are very friendly and are always happy to help.The store always is full and I always find what I want.the entire store team should be commended for the job they do !! Head day time pharmacist assumes if you are on a narcotic, you deserve a lecture. Don't know her name but tall with med length black hair. I know in the past a pharmacist left because of her bossy attitude. If an MD prescribes a narcotic, you fill it without a lecture. I didn't ask to fracture my ribs. I left this CVS 6 months ago and get my meds filled from Rite aid. Nicer staff and non judgmental staff. Nobody deserves to go to their pharmacy and feel ousted or lectured read more

This review is specifically for the minute clinic. Don't waste your time. After 4 days of flu like symptoms I decided to head down, thinking it would be quick and easy. After registering at the kiosk the wait time said 143 minutes. I had my children with me, and trusted it would go quicker, as a customer before me stated it was. Indeed it did go quicker; after about an hour and fifteen minutes I was finally down to zero minutes for my wait time. It stuck at zero minutes for about 15 min. But then it jumped to 80 minutes. Apparently at 12:36 they HAVE to take their lunch break? For an hour and twenty minutes?? They should factor that in. Or at least have the decency to show their faces and say something. Needless to say I gathered my kids and went home. Rude, disrespectful, and obviously don't care about the sick people waiting. Better off going to ready med. read more

Do NOT trust the posted hours. I checked the website and saw that the Minute Clinic was open until 7:00 but the last check in would be 6:45. I arrived a few minutes before 6:40 and the door was marked with a "closed sign", and there was a rack blocking the kiosk area to check in. When I questioned the store manager he felt badly and got the Minute Clinic doctor/nurse on duty who first said he had another patient and thats why the door was marked "closed", but then, when the manager asked if he could quickly take my son in for a strep test, he admitted he had already cashed out and couldn't take us. When I got back in my car, I looked at my cell phone and the time was 6:46. Really? I had to deal with a sick kid all night because he wanted to skate out early. read more
