This location has gone from terribly bad to unbelievably horrible! It took over a wk to get refill done. I had tried to transfer rx fr another pharmacy to no avail. After a wk., finally got someone to pick up the phone. Pharmacy mngr. Kim said she would call me bk. I kept calling every hr as she didn't do what she said she was going to do. Finally got through to a female with the I.Q. of a banana who tried to give me attitude @ how busy they are blah blah blah. I gave it right bk. Kim then picks up calls me a child for getting angry and claims she called me TWICE! I checked call log on phone and there is no record of incoming call from CVS! I asked if the rx was ready. She said it would be ready in 30 mins. I said TY goodbye. Their issues are theirs. If they r incapable of performing their jobs in a timely manner, I hear Amazon is hiring. But you'd have to be able to read and write so maybe that wouldn't be an option. These r horrible ppl who deserve every lousy review they get! I'm 70 yrs old and ANYBODY having this much of an issue with a pharmacy would hv the same reaction...as evidenced by the reviews! read more

I tried to fill a prescription. They refused to fill it because my "insurance information was wrong." I called my insurance company and the information was completely correct and furthermore the agent said it had already been approved. Meanwhile the clerk wandered off leaving me standing there which is painful due to recent surgery. Finally got someone else's attention and she got her supervisor who thrust a piece of paper ate saying see your information is wrong. The information was exactly what was on my card. But according to the printout my insurance expired more than a year ago. Surprising since I've been filling prescriptions for many years. Still had the insurance agent on the phone so I asked if I was still enrolled. He said yes. Tried to get the supervisor to talk to him but he refused saying it was my problem and I needed to fix it I'm order to get my prescription. So I fixed it by going to Walgreens which has never had a problem with my insurance. Funnily enough, when the clerk first claimed my insurance information was wrong, she commented that you'd be surprised how often this happens. Given their computer system, I am not. read more

I recently changed pharmacies and am no longer a CVS customer because of piss poor customer service. Every time I visit the pharmacy the lines are from on end of the store to another. Their staff doesn't even look up to assess the lines and put more than one employee servicing requests. They don't care and show it. It takes me 30-45 minutes to pick prescriptions. I have better things to do than wait in your lines. By contrast I am in and out within 5 minutes max at Walgreens read more

Called as the CVS app told me to. I was on hold for 23 minutes and someone answered and hung up. After reading some reviews it seems like this CVS didn't get trained on how to use the phone. read more

I have an odd relationship with this CVS. They are well stocked and usually have what I need. I hate that its greeting card area is micro small, and sometimes the lines to checkout are crazy. However, I will echo that the pharmacy, while sometimes slow, is diligent and very helpful to all types of customers, even going out of their way to save me hundreds of dollars (for example). I can't say that about most businesses, and that type of service is precious. read more

Pharmacy was "closed until further notice." Natasha the CVS manager was completely rude and unhelpful when she stated that the pharmacist just arrived and was going to open. As the line was building for the pharmacy to open, I asked her to tell the pharmacist and she flat out said no multiple times as she was casually conversing with the security guard. This is a true mark of laziness and lack of customer service. She refused to give me her name--nothing indicated that she was the manager. I had to get it from the cashier. She was sarcastic throughout our interaction and asked of I wanted her last name "doesn't give a shit." Called CVS customer service and filed a complaint. read more

I can never get in a phone call with the pharmacy, my primary consistently ignores their refill requests, I go days if not weeks without chronic illness medication. The system is broken and their marketing material will always try to put up a front otherwise. read more

As has been mentioned before, they have the nicest group of pharmacists I have ever met. Every time I have gone in there, I have been treated with respect, professionalism, and a friendly greeting. As has also been mentioned before, weird to Yelp review a pharmacy. But yeah, definitely recommend their pharmacy department. read more

It may seem strange to review a pharmacy, but personally I have come to care about where I get my meds, and this CVS is pretty great. I have been brought to tears at pharmacies at times when I needed medication but couldn't get them due to whatever reason- miscommunications with doctors offices, insurance companies, whatever- and the worst thing in those moments are when pharmacy staff are not kind, helpful, or understanding. The staff at this particular CVS pharmacy, on the other hand, are all of these things, even in the face of difficult customers or difficult circumstances. They can't fix everything, but in my experience they always try to help and do so nicely (and often with a dose of good natured humor). I have been really impressed with their compassion to myself and others. As someone who has to manage chronic illness and meds, it is really important for my happiness to not dread the pharmacy every single time. And I am glad I don't anymore. The only bad thing, I have to say, is that they only ever seem to have 2 people working at a time (a pharmacist and a tech), and while it's usually okay there have been times when lines and wait times have been hella long. Other good things: They have good hours, the location is smack dab in downtown New Haven, and because it's a CVS you get all the related features: app and website available to track prescriptions, text notifications for everything, ability to easily transfer prescriptions across locations, etc. The rest of the store is just fine, too. Clean, well stocked, etc. They also seem to be understaffed at times, but usually it's fine. read more

The pharmacy itself is nice and clean, but I have always been disappointed by their photo service. There has never been a time when they did not try to charge me the wrong amount for the photo pickup, even when the order confirmation itself, which they actually print out on top of the photos, says otherwise. I am deeply disappointed, and I will most likely never order photos from then again. If you do, make sure to double check the price before you pay for them!! read more

Love this store! Honestly never though I would say that about a drugstore, but this store has a great layout, a huge selection, and (most importantly) an amazing staff. Everyone is SO friendly, from the clerks up front to the pharmacists. Never had to wait more than 5 mins for a script -- they're always prompt and courteous. I went from day one when it opened for Easter 2017 the staff is very friendly and helpful hope they stay that way. People get a CVS card so much savings with it takes less than 5 mins to be done. Perfect spot I am happy it's there the store opens about 8am closes at 10pm..the Pharmacy hours are different weekdays closes at 9pm and weekends at 6pm.. Still adding things very clean and neat inside. I promise you will not regret visiting this location the customer service is exceptional here very bright inside not gloomy like some locations. read more
