I was left waiting for an order that had already been canceled without my knowledge. This is completely unacceptable and reflects a serious breakdown in Stop & Shop's customer service. Why offer a service you clearly cannot manage or guarantee? Had I not called to follow up myself, I would have been left in limbo indefinitely. There should be a basic system in place to notify customers of any order delay or cancellation, along with a reason. From a technical standpoint, this is not difficult--you already have customer contact information, including email and phone numbers. To make matters worse, after this failure on your end, I was forced to resubmit the order, make an additional payment, and now wait 7-10 business days for a refund or credit on the canceled order. The store is always clean and organized. Everything is usually in stock (depending on the COVID situation when it comes to cleaning products but that's every where). I really have no complaints about this particular CVS. I only gave 4 stars because prices tend to be a bit high on certain things that I know are normally cheaper elsewhere.
