I had a very bad experience tonight at CVS on 1145 Kempton St. In New Bedford. I went in to do a simple exchange of color on an item I purchased a day ago. I was told they don't exchange, I would have to get a refund and repurchase the item. I said ok. I went and picked out the item, went to the register and a young lady rang up the item. I gave her the gift card she had just given me and said you have to pay 87 cents tax. I said I already paid the 87 cents when I purchased the one I am exchanging, I am not paying tax twice. Why didn't you refund the tax I had already paid? She said we don't refund the tax, I said I am not paying double tax. I said call the manager. The manager came up and was totally useless. I explained everything thing and she did nothing. I said just give me my item I was exchanging back. The manager said no I am not giving it back to you, she picked up my returned item that was behind her, I thought she was going to throw it at me, but she threw my item hard towards the door in the cashier area. This woman Felicia Pacheco (that she said is her name, and she is the manager) was extremely unprofessional and very aggressive with me a senior citizen. I was so afraid she was going to attack me so I called the police for assistance with this unprofessional, unruly manager. This woman does not belong working in the public, she is definitely not manager material. The police officer offered to pay the 87 cents tax for me, but I said no he doesn't or shouldn't have to do that. I made an even exchange and I already paid the tax on the item I returned. I left the store, but when I got out side it hit me that the gift card was used to purchase the exchange and would have a zero balance. I went back in the store to have this manager check the balance on the card and she started playing on her phone and didn't get the balance. I think she may have saw it had a zero balance and then called the police back saying she wanted me out of the store. The police come back and tell me to leave because the manager don't want me there. Sure enough I get home call the number on the back of the card and the card has a zero balance. So this manger has stolen my $13.99 dollars. I then called the New Bedford police back to make a report of larceny and they said you can go to CVS tomorrow and speak with the day manager who can hopefully solve this. I have never in my 68 1/2 years been treated so badly in a store as I was tonight. This is far from over, I will not stop pursuing this until I get my stolen money back... read more

CVS Pharmacy - The card with a ZERO balance... - Drugstores Near Me - New Bedford, Massachusetts

I do understand that almost everywhere is finding it had to have a full staff ... BUT ... that doesn't excuse the fact that one of the last times I went there I literally was in line for 30 MINUTES ... literally just standing in line for 30 minutes. That's a little ridiculous. Plus, the line of cars for the drive-thru was all the way out on the side street. CRAZY! Someone has to do something. Also, more than once I've gotten a text saying that my prescription is ready for pick up, I go there and strangely they tell me it's not ready. I told them "I got a text saying it was ready for pick up" ... one of the workers told me "that's not always right." THEN WHY AM I GETTING A TEXT SAYING IT'S READY?!? I don't get it. So I've never done this but while in line I took a picture because it was that long and I couldn't believe what was happening, I just had to. You can't see everyone in line in front of me cause some people were standing directly in front of each other, but I counted them and there was like 8 people in front of me and there was at least 5 people behind me. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Every single time I come to this location, WITHOUT FAIL, no matter what time of day there is a line all the way to the middle of the store and you wait at least thirty minutes in line! If you have to pick up a script here and you're in a hurry FORGET ABOUT IT! You might as well give yourself a full 45 minutes to pick up your medicine! Absolutely horrible service! They need to hire more people to work bc it should never take this long just to walk in and pick up your medications! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Now, a prescription for a cat may not be important to everyone, but if you've ever witnessed your pet have a seizure, you'll understand why I am so angry. My cat's Kepra is supposed to be on auto refill. When it was low and still no notification I used the automated refill line. I received a message that the vet would have to authorize (again) and they would reach out to request it. That was at 6:22am on Wednesday. It's now after 8pm on Monday. My daughter spoke to the vet this morning and they sent the authorization days ago. She talked to the pharmacy who said (again) that they hadn't received it. When I checked around 5pm the automated line said it would be ready today at 6:47pm. I arrived to wait in line for ten minutes and got to the register around 7:30pm only to be told "we're still working on it. I can expedite it but the wait will be about 30 minutes." Are you kidding me?? My cat has missed 4 doses, luckily seizure free and her meds are still not ready?? I finally got my hands on the refill (90 day supply thankfully) and this will be the last. I will not have her meds filled at this pharmacy anymore. This is not the first time over the past 3 years either. I love the store and the pharmacy staff have always been pleasant, but this is absolutely unacceptable! Sorry, but I am done with this pharmacy and will use Chewy instead, which I should've done in the first place. read more

Worst Customer Service EVER. DO NOT EVER GET PICTURES DEVELOPED AT CVS. My daughter dropped off film to be developed the first week in December they told her it would be about 2wks and probably about 20.00. Well they just came in this week (which is well over a month) AND THEY CHARGED HER $70.00 FOR THEM. I was pissed I called the store they said they don't make the prices the company that developes the pictures does then I call corporate and they tell me there is nothing they can do I have to deal with the store. 0 stars this is the worst cvs. Yimin is the worst pharmacist in existence. Some of the newer pharmacy techs are rude and unorganized. They are always in a bad mood, look miserable, give dirty looks, and look annoyed that you're there.... At their job, where they chose to be a pharmacy tech. I understand things get hectic and busy but there's no reason to be in a bad mood or roll your eyes/give dirty looks to every single person in your line. My husband chose this pharmacy for me when I was new to the area, instead of choosing one in Dartmouth where we live and I've been using it for over 8 years. My very first interaction with yimin was unpleasant and every one since is (I have also done multiple cvs.com surveys about her when I get the link) I love Erica the one who rotates nights with yimin because she is smart, kind, professional, and sympathetic. She does not judge people for their medications they're picking up regardless of what she may be thinking in her head she ALWAYS is empathetic, helpful, and polite. She is a great pharmacist and good person imo. Greg is also a great and respectful pharmacist who has helped me a lot. Pharmacy techs Leo and Seth are very respectful and kind, always say hi and ask me how I'm doing, and never are rude! Bonus points for tech Allison who I actually thought was a PHARMACIST because of all she has done for me one time all of my scripts were effed up and got switched to a cvs in Virginia !!!! I was so confused but she fixed it right away for like 7 or 8 scripts! I had no idea this whole time she was just a tech. The people mentioned above, you can tell they care about their jobs and they are still there when all the other pharmacists and techs leave so often. My biggest issue though, I was calling to check on my anti biotic last week and asked the pharmacist what day she could refill my Percocet not sure if it was the 27th or 28th and she very rudely told me that they don't have it. I said "oh so it's not in stock?" She said "no we don't get it anymore" I said "okay is it at another location?" She said "no Idk guess u can call your doctor and try another chain" this was literally like 3 or 4 days before I was due for a refill and had a script on hold. No warning, no calls. No text alerts! I have osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, lumbar spondylosis, and degenerative disc disease!! Plus I heard If you don't take pain medication for like 3+ days you get the shits. I'm lucky I asked when I called about my clindamycin or else I would have never known! Luckily I called the cancer center and they sent it to another pharmacy and got it on the 27th! This is the worst CVS I've ever been in! The lines to pick up meds goes down three aisles... drive up is worse. I finally got to the end and was told their computer said my insurance was invalid. Had to go home and call them twice.... Of course on hold for 20 minutes only to find out their computer was wrong. So I got to go back and wait in line again. Store is crowded and awful. I am compelled to use CVS Pharmacy on Kempton Street in New Bedford because it is required by my insurance. Were it not for that, I would have changed pharmacies a very long time ago. Today's experience with the head pharmacist is a perfect case in point. She avoided intentionally answering my question until the end of the conversation. She was intentionally rude. And I cannot think that the store manager (Peter) would condone her in that position. The woman's people skills are nonexistent. She was abrupt, unpleasant, and lied to me during our conversation. Unless the manager of the store relieves her of her position, I strongly suggest going to another pharmacy. She has been purposely disagreeable to me for too long and it's going to stop. read more

This pharmacy is the worst I got a message that my rx was ready for pick up but was busy so I didn't get there til 7 hours later and it was still not ready. So after waiting half hour in line I was told It would be another half hour so I waited and still wasn't ready after waiting another half hour. So today I call and it still not ready my rx was sent there over 24 hours ago. Pharmacist was very rude told and kept telling me to download an app no matter what I asked her. I ask her why did they send me a message saying it was ready she says to download the app. I ask if there is a time frame of when it will be ready she says download the app. Then she mentioned the app again very rude and condescending even though I was being very patient even though my patience was already exhausted. I had a great experience with the front of the house cashier Lauren(she was awesome)..had a smile on asked if I had found everything that I needed and wished me a great day!! The pharmacists on the other hand???? It's really sad that some of them just don't care about this beautiful store..to them it's just a paycheck !!! Staff is very unprofessional and rude!! I have been using this pharmacy for several years. They seem to be getting busier as the years go by. My complaint would be that they always have to spend 5 or more minutes searching in different locations for my prescriptions. I would think they could develop a better filing system to locate prescriptions quicker. read more

These people literally wait for you to show up to start getting your prescription ready no matter how long ago the doctor sent in the order, every time you go through the drive-thru window they're "finishing it up and it'll take 15-20mins" so you end up having to go inside. Every. Time. read more

Picture this: I just worked a long day on set, and then went to a play afterwards, so I didn't get home until 1AM. Slept six hours, went back to work, but first had to get my resume updated and headshot printed. Well as I was going to a friends house around the corner I decided to go to this CVS. But first I had to call to make sure they were open. "Are you printing pictures today?" I asked. "Yes, but our one hour machine is broken. Our instant machine is working though" he said. Shannon says: "fantastic, how long will it take to print that out?" Derr Shannon. In spite of my obviously stupid question, he answered anyways. I went there, and was out the door in less than two minutes. The CVS itself is I would say is medium sized, and is no more expensive than the rest. It's average. read more

This is the most dysfunctional place I have ever dealt with. Meds are never ready as scheduled. They don't answer the telephone. You cannot get a status check. They are way over their head in business, an overload of customers, just concerned about their profits like any other just like any other corporation. read more

Great pharmacy! They all work so hard! Deff need to hire more pharmacy people but they do there best. You'd think some of them live there! Some customers can be awful, can't be easy being stuck in that fish bowl. It would be helpful if they had a sign so people knew where to start a line read more
